Another beautiful day of riding with LT Michael Watson during our "Meet and Greet" week - Deadwood, South Dakota Update for Wednesday, 14 August 2019! SHARK WEEK (Continued).
Well, Wednesday for all of you motorcycle riders was one of those perfect days as we headed down US Highway 385 south into Hill City, Custer Park, Mount Rushmore, Iron Mountain Highway, and the Needles Highway - awesome ride.
On the way down to the Needles highway we stopped at scenic Pactola Lake which is the largest reservoir in the Black Hills of South Dakota
Check out a few of the pictures from yesterday.
We did hit one of those pop up T-Storms as we let the Mount Rushmore area into Keystone for lunch. It worked out really well. Our Motorcycles got a bath while we ate and then we went out wiped them down, dried, and our Harleys were clean for the rest of the ride back up US Highway 385. Very scenic and the bugs were gone.
Last night we held the raffle drawings and I won a "Free Freedom Windshield" that I'll have installed when I get back to Denver, CO. That's about a $250 to $300 value.
We also saw and voted on presentations for SHARK Week 11 (since SHARK Week 10 will be back in Gettysburg, PA). We had two choices Appleton, Wisconsin or Lake Tahoe, Nevada. I picked Nevada for 2021!
Onto Thursday the last full day of SHARK WEEK! Check out the update this Friday or over the weekend since I'll be riding back to the "Eagle's Nest" on "Red Friday!"
