GREAT Vacation Pics!!!
Great random 100 mile ride today. Took me to Voorhees (NJ) State Park where I saw a sign for the Paul Robinson Observatory and Astronaut Edwin E. (Buzz) Aldrin Center. Serendipitous discovery; and it was open to the public with some astronomy docents to explain and set you up to view the sun directly through the telescope with a hydrogen filter. The boxy looking scope showed you the sun indirectly as a shadow and you could watch the shadow move steadily within the box as the Earth turned.

Maine is a logging state. This yard near Dover-Foxcroft had logs stacked in a huge circle like matchsticks. A crane is in the center of the yard and rotates to stack the logs. You can get a sense of scale by looking at my bike in the foreground. Paul Bunyan stands guard in Bangor.
For all you gearheads...this one really resonated!
Quirky Art, Barbara Sullivan, Monson, Maine

Some of the view you get to see after hiking half a mile on an active rail line and walking half way across the 1280 foot long Onawa Train Trestle which stands 130 feet above the Ship Pond Stream below. If you are afraid of heights, this one isn't for you!

Forest & Logging Museum of Maine was down a dirt road with an Honor pay box.
