Finally had an opportunity to install the drawers into the Murphy bed cabinets. This is the first time I ever built or installed any kind of drawers but everything fit perfectly on the first try. Next step is the drawer front panels which are cut and waiting for polyurethane sealer to dry.
No, that isn't helmet hair.
Coworker snapped this shot after I delivered 100 masks by bike yesterday.
Beautiful morning with cherry blossoms weighing down the branches and the sweet smell hanging in the air.
Adding fold-up shelves. The hinges were cut from piano hinge left over from fastening the legs.
Installed the backing panels this weekend.
Keeping the mattresses from falling out when beds are raised. I use the same types of straps to hold things down on my bike. Better than bungie cords.
Great progress over the weekend. Mattress strap retainers fabricated and painted, backing panels cut and stained.
Cutting steel retainer strips for the webbing that will girdle the mattresses.
Incredible amount of labor on this Murphy bed project. No wonder they are so expensive. Legs finally installed. They swing down and back on piano hinges by force of gravity.
Happy Birthday Yocky!!!!!!
One of the nicest people I have met on this site!!!
Have a wonderful BIG Birthday!!
Making glacial progress on my trunk mounting project. Finally elongated the slots so that the trunk can slide back further in order to give passengers more space to lean back. Before and after pics.
Tail Trunk Project is progressing. Would have mounted it lower but the side bag lids have to swing open.
This counts as part of my motorcycle show experience since I saw it on the way to the Jacob K. Javits Center. Thought it was a wonderful sculpture.
If you have a saddle like this, do you have to wear argyle socks too?
2020 BMW R9 Nine T/5
Would love to have one of these but it would need to have hard luggage.
