Also visited the Elk Preserve in Benezette, PA. I did not see any at the first viewing area, so I went on to the second one. As I was pulling up to it, eight Amish folks were pointing into the field. When I got off the bike the told me my loud motorcycle spooked the elk and they ran away! I got back on the bike before they used me in their next batch of Shoo-fly Pie! This is the only elk I saw today and it was bronze.
Went to the Flight 93 Memorial today. It’s really changed. If you haven’t been there for a couple years it’s completely different than the original (temporary) one. They actually did a nice job. The latest addition is this Tower of Voices. It’s 93 feet high (Flight 93), and has 40 sets of chimes; each set between 5 and 10 feet long. It’s always windy up there, so when they get it working, it should be amazing. It wasn’t working today. This place is definitely worth a visit. Wait till the kids are back in school; it was a mob scene today.
This is the Kinzua Bridge. Used to be the world’s longest and highest train trestle. Tornado knocked down part of it in 2003
