From 4 wheelers flicking lit cigs and worse cigars to a wayward duck at 65, Karma keeps us going and every once in a while slaps us a good reminder...
Took a big juicy one this last week, right square in the middle of the forehead...rode up and got a new nick..."cyclops"

I just had a bee fly down my shirt & sting me while I was doing about 50mph on my way home from work. I almost jumped off Betty before I had her stopped. When I finally did, I was in front of people ripping off my backpack & jacket, jumping around like a damn fool! They didn't know what was going on! It got me twice before I could get it out. I'm allergic to pretty much everything so now I'm all swollen up. Picture the movie Pure Luck. I think this was worse than the damn sparrow. I should have more of these soon. I have the best luck! LOL

The worse that Ive ever gotten hit by, besides that damn bee, was a bird, now that shit hurts!!!!

About 2 years ago on backroads in north florida. Hit a bird with my face and head. Bird died, I got a huge knot on my head and my check gashed!! Dazed and confused and alomost dropped my bike before I could get stopped! No longer confused but still dazed!! lol

Try a crow... got hit smack in the chin by one on my morning ride a few weeks ago.
Think it survived, cause I didn't see it in the road. I survived, thanks to my helmet - that would've hurt big time without it!

Have had two bird encounters. First time was a robin to the helmet at 70mph that knocked me senseless. Was literally seeing stars and to this day don't remember getting stopped on the side of the road afterwards. Second was a red tail hawk that I clipped with the top of my windshield and barely missed my head while doing 50mph down a backroad. You think they look big sitting on fence posts? Try having one two feet from your face!

Picture this we had been riding on the blue ridge parkway for damn near 14 hours, cold wet and dark. Smack --something hits so hard it knocks my head sideways. I look up and have these tiny little feet dangling between my visor and helmet. I reach up to give it a good yank thinking it was a little bird of some kind. Nothing happened so I yanked harder and it comes off in my hand minus a wing which is still hung up in my helmet. Was a bat---mind you one really pissed off wingless BAT who then decided to take a chunk outta my thumb (thank goodness for my gloves) At this point I was weaving all over the road and finally with a quick prayer as to not HIT the rider behind me with a one winged pissed of bat I tossed his ass over my shoulder . By the time I got stopped with a scratch on my cheek and a small puncture on my hand. My boyfriend thought I had totally lost it as all he could see were my headlights weaving all over the road. Was a nice ride though

i got a bat in the chest a couple weeks ago..about 2:30 in the morning...that felt real good the next day..well needless to say i also got a new nickname
