Introduction:
A conundrum, that's is how my friends describe me. I ride a Harley, weather permitting, (though I do have a relatively new vehicle with 4 doors, working windows and a roof and everything!!). Love the outdoors - hiking is a blast and one of my favorite activities.

At our age we have all accumulated some baggage - life happens. Mine fits in a medium carry on bag, with a comfortable amount of room left over. Fits easily in the overhead, yours should too.

I can do formal or casual, and can most often be found in a pair of 501s and a comfortable shirt. I own a tux, and know how to wear it. I love concerts and live performances.

I very seriously believe in "say what you mean, mean what you say, do what you say your going to do". Honesty, even if painful, is the only way to go.

Spent about a decade in the service, bouncing around this great blue ball on which we live. Most interesting place I've been? It would have to be Honduras - rugged and beautiful (though Okinawa was interesting as well).

Career wise I am a successful software engineer. Also involved in a couple of side endeavors that may, or may not pay off. But the pay off is truly secondary, it's the challenge that makes them worth doing.

What am I looking for? A connection. Someone who understands that relationships can not be one sided, and that they often require compromise. Relationships, whether romantic or friendly are based on trust, and that doesn't happen overnight, it takes time to build. The foundation of trust is honesty, even when it hurts. Lies beget lies, honesty begets trust.

Height and weight proportionate.
Value honesty and trust.
Emotionally stable and available.
Able to hold your own in most conversations.
Not have drug and alcohol issues.
Be a non-smoker .
Have a positive outlook on life.
Enjoy the occasional motorcycle ride.
Understand that relationships involve compromise.
Like the outdoors (no, I am not a hunter).

Ok, now for a small bit of negativity:

please pass me by if:

you expect me to always see it your way - I won't.

You expect immediate commitment (I am looking for a long term relationship, but not committing to anyone on the first date - or even the second.). Relationships take time to develop, rushing the process isn't really doable.

You need rescued. My armor is a bit tarnished so I am out of the white knight business.

You have any drug or alcohol issues - don't need, want or tolerate that kind of drama.
