Introduction:
I was talking to a new friend the other day and realized that my newer friends don't really know the history of Brother Bear and why I am the way I am. After a lot of debating back and forth I decided to write this for a couple of reasons. 1. What you see is what you get with me. I have no hidden agenda, no sneaky plots. This is who I am. 2. I wear my heart on my sleeve 24/7 and always will.
Brother Bear was actually born Bradley Bear. A nickname given to him by his best friend at the time. The year was 1990 and I was in a dark place in my life with no where to turn. She stood beside me and helped me to find my way back into the light. It was then that Bradley Bear became Brother Bear. To help those who were also lost in the dark, with the same pain and hurt that had left a scar across his own heart.
I started with my closest friends and simple things….oil changes, moving, an ear to bend when no one else would listen. Soon it turned into more…a soft place to land when times were tough, a guardian in the night to chase away the nightmares and watch over them, the voice of reason when they had none of their own, and an anchor and starting point to always be grounded to so that when they were lost they could always find their way back home.
The best way I know how to describe it actually came from a movie…"A man draws a circle around himself and places within it all the people he cares about." My circle just kept growing. Soon I could just look into someone's eyes and know if they needed me or not. Perfect strangers would just open up to me with their life stories without even really knowing me. Bear has struggled with this gift in the past.
Having my emotions and heart so close to the surface sometimes confuses caring with loving. Putting the needs of the many over the needs of the one that needed me most. Which is why the Bear is still single and probably always will be. He was meant to help and protect those around him not the other way around, and certainly not being in anyone else's circle.
That's why I'm Brother Bear. Its less complicated that way. I am friend, counselor, soft shoulder, strength, a safe place to rest. I am compassion, an ear to bend, someone to vent on and not take it personal, and at the end of the day I can still make you see that life is too serious as it is and we can go sniff shoes together and just have fun like when we were young.

Im into photography, tattoo's, bikes, and any combination of the above. Ive been a freelance photographer for the last 10 years. Clicking my way through hundreds of photos of people and their pride and joy....Their bikes and their ink. I especially love the soft lines of a womans body blended in their ink.
