What else is there to say. I am employed at a job I truly do enjoy that most people just don't quite understand. It provides plenty of opportunities to ride. I absolutely can't stand riding in groups. Anything more than 4 bikes is just a pain in the ass. I prefer to ride alone or with one other bike, I'm not going to deny it. I also try to avoid the HD dealers at all costs whenever possible. I mean, seriously, when was the last time you went and hung out at a Chevy or Buick (or whatever) dealer just for shits and giggles.
Trendy "bikers" are not really welcome. If you are not aware what the letters BSA mean, or think that Triumph is the band that sang "Magic Power" then please move on. If "going for a good ride" doesn't consist of leaving with a full tank and stopping for gas at least once then again, please move on. If you are going to sit here and badmouth Hondas or Yamahas or other foreign makes then once again, I ask that you move on. I have never owned a Jap bike but can appreciate them for what they are. False patriotism is not welcome here. Harleys are not the best bike on the planet. I know it, you know it, we all know it. I have my own reasons for owning them that can be discussed at length if necessary.
I am a proud union member in good standing and a very Liberal registered Democrat and am not afraid to let it be known, so conservative points of view are not necessarily something I hold in high regard. I prefer someone with at least some college if not a degree. Again, not required, just preferences. Don't get me wrong, I am not some uptight, tree-hugging, stiff. I just like someone who can voice their opinions and back them up with knowledge instead of prejudices. Just the way I am, sorry. No drug freaks either. I don't give a shit about pot, but meth, coke, whatever, if that's your thing, move on. I have never allowed it into my life and don't want to.
I have worked hard to get to where I am and am content with my situation. If I can find someone to share my life with, great, but it is not a must, so if you are a clingy person, good luck. Independence is a virtue as I like my time alone.
I may come across as a bit cold and cynical, which is partially true, but I just don't want to get involved with head games and a bunch of other shit. If someone comes along who I happen to hit it off with that likes to ride as much as I do and for the same basic reasons, well, then maybe it'll go somewhere,
Did I mention that I really can't stand most conservatives.
There, that is about as straight-forward and honest as you can expect someone to get.
I ride motorcycles for fun, I run freight trains for a living and I love both. They both take up most of my time and are what I am most passionate about. If you think you can deal with that, well, let's find out.

Ideal:
A college professor that teaches either German or mechanical engineering and also owns a liqour store as a retirement investment. Oh yeah, I repeat myself, she should own and ride her own bike. And like the Chicago Cubs. How could I forget that? | |
