My name is Shauna and I am originally from New Albany, IN. When I was growing up all I could ever think about was leaving Smalltown, USA. I started recreationally using alcohol and cigarettes in high school, thinking it was glamorous and made me "cooler". This progressed when I went to Virginia Beach one summer with a friend and was introduced to cocaine while also working in my first bar. This was the same summer I turned 21. I have lived all over the United States. I traveled a lot because in my job I could go just about anywhere and find a good job. I used to work in the service industry, bartending mostly. I usually worked in clubs/resorts.I was lost. I am now a reformed drug addict and believer in Jesus Christ. I am a Christian and know that had Jesus not stepped in and saved my life I would be dead right now. I just graduated from Life Challenge Bible Institute in Detroit, MI with a certificate in Biblical Theology. I am now enrolled in school in Missouri and am really trying to start my life over again. I never thought I would be 35 years old and "starting" my life over. I hope and pray nightly that the Lord uses me in some way to help prevent teens/ early twenty somethings from making the same horrible mistakes I did. All I ever wanted to do was fit in, or fill a void in my life/heart and 15 years later here I am. That void is finally filled to capacity with the ONLY thing that could fill it- Jesus Christ. My prayer is that anyone entertaining thoughts of hurting themselves with drugs, alcohol, pills or any bad choices would not hesitate to contact me if they need to talk to someone that has been there and done it. I will not judge you, but I will try and talk you out of making any of the same mistakes I did. I will also pray for/ with you if you want. I have to tell you that right now is the absolute happiest I have EVER been!! All glory to my Savior, Jesus Christ. I also have started a group for people that have overcome life debilitating issues through the power of our Savior- Jesus Christ! It's on Godtube and it's called "FREE". Please visit! When I say... 'I am a Christian' I still feel the sting of pain.. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name.
When I say... 'I am a Christian' I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner Who received God's good grace, somehow!
