Introduction:
I'm an Old Rock and Roller from way back....Lucky enough to have played and become friends with some the best...In Atanta in 70's and 80's, Jammed out with many bandsbands, Lynard Skynard, 38 special, Mothers Finest, Wild Country {who became Alabama} Hughy Lewis, Elvin Bishop, Suzy Quadtro, and many more...l was back stage with Lynard Skynard in Greenville,S.C. my home town, at their very last show. That night the band was very tight and sounded great and did 3 encores. Then the next day Free Bird fell to the ground 10/20/77. What a terrible loss to everyone and music itself. Ronnie Van Zant, Steve and Cassy Gaines were all 28....So l try to carry on their memories in the music l sing and play, and try to do it right, to show honor to the guys and gals, that made this all happen... |
