The Road To Rio (Vista)
I'm finally on my way to Rio!! Had a blast in concord, got too drunk....woke up in the back of Mimi's vehicle and then she hid me in the damn closet!! So i'm finally outta the closet (no not that one) and i posted a couple pics of the inside of Mimi's closet so i'm betting she'll be sweatin bullets over that incriminating evidence! And now I'm going to quietly find my way to the Rio run.
Was so excited being free again took the wrong way outta redding and ended up in Oregon...ohh well scenery is nice this time of year. Mimi set a trap at Michaels place but i was on to that one.
Made it to Humbolt county tonight, and now that i can finally stop running after stumbling onto Nina's place (sorry about that Nina...but ..also thanks!!) Found some nice acreage to sack out on, damn its cold tho, not much wood around, pretty dark out. So just started a fire with some of these tall "weeds" everywhere. Duuuude now thats a far out "smokin" fire Haaa cant quit laughing now Haaaa (wonder if there's a jack in the box open some where) Wait, i hear someone, they followed me, rustling in the "grass"...the sound is....amplified!!! Think i got a pic of them..
well gonna nap now. (Damn got cotton mouth somehow..whats up with that? ohhh well I'll load more pics...Haa...Far out Man)
I decided to just chill today along the roadside in humbolt area, a little washed out from the campfire thing last night. The boys in blue came along to politely move me along when they found my bag of campfire leftovers. They relieved me of the burden of carrying that around, and then said take your time its cool and to have a safe trip to Rio.
After resting all day after the "smokin" campfire last night got lucky and thumbed down a ride! The driver is cool and said he could take me at least half way to Rio, that works for me my feet were killing me in these damn sandles, (you otta try running like hell in sandles after peekin in a window and almost getting caught) I still have 14 days to get there so no worries yet....so i'm a truckin now!! (wow its even a white truck just like the rabbit...wierd isnt it?) Wow...that just sounded like Cliff on the CB!!!
I think my new found trucker buddy had had enough of my coverup girly perfume that i took from Nina's window cuz we stopped into a Pilot truck stop where i was ordered to shower up immediately!! Which was actually was good thing because right after that we pulled into Clear Lake so told my driver i knew hot chick in this town too. (He was so impressed) So we cruised on by to check on Maggie and upon arrival noticed all the damn windows were boarded up with fresh plywood. Could tell doors had to work cuz the dog went running in thru the doggie door. (another wierd thing, like she'd been warned there was a tornado or something heading into town) I looked around and didnt see any tornado magnet mobil home parks nearby. But i did get the last look in as we passed the school and saw Maggie out with the school girl drill team practicing the moves!! (Boy was i happy trucker joe actually had binoculars!!)
After enjoying the binocs had to say seeya to Joe he had deliveries to do. So i snuck into the gym where Maggie and the girls were and talked her into a quick photo with her and the girls (i can be so persuasive at times) Gave Maggie a hug and hot footed it outta there before the principle got on to me, and found a great swimming hole (thank goodness it was a nice day out as you can see, not to mention i happen to have the right attire for that going) I forgot...was it a rabbit or a duck i was supposed to follow?? (Guess the duck works for now!)
Caught a ride with a guy in a pickup, said he was heading to someplace called Cisco Grove, i figured cool sounded like a nice place to chill for a while so off i went in the bed of the truck.
Holly Crap!!! Didn't know that meant 10 feet of snow!! Thank goodness for the 2 pair of thongs i took outta Mimi's closet for insulation or the boys would be history!
I made it back to the warm valley, not a moment too soon for color puposes on the boys! Made it down to the sac river to hang out, even found a cool place to catch some shut eye. Then i got an email from perk that Marty was in town, and that heidi, gina he, and marty were doing dinner at the river, so i had to go!! (that heidi is a feisty one, easy to catch with that stub foot too!! but thats another story for later LOL) Dinner was great felt good to not have to find it or campfire it for a change...thanks Perk! Well i'm off to go see a guy about a bike...i cant wait!! (the site has bike in the garage thing...what if you have a bike but no garage?)
Man, that was a long ass ride, i'm beat. And as you can see i've gotten a little (alot) south of the border to get my bike. Havent hooked up with the bike guy yet ..just got here, but already met another cool guy who wants me to meet his seeeester. So may check that out and worry about the bike tomorrow...damn its hot down here!
Played on the beaches and got some swimming with the fishies in today. Picked up the bike tonight so should have some pics tomorrow sometime to share. It needs some work, and i wasnt crazy about the serial numbers being scratched off but what the heck I'll probably just cover that area with chrome anyway (needs some chrome big time) found another cool place to sack out, gets a little busy during the day but doesnt look like anyone has lived in it for hundreds of years, so doubt anyone will bug me. Plenty of rooms to check out with the bike guys "other" seeester too.
Wow what a weekend!! the whole bike thing blew up on me, seems there was a story behind the serial numbers being filed off, so spent 1st part of the weekend in a cozy mexican jail. Thank goodness Perk's daughter came down from Long Beach to get me the hell outta there. So am back in sunny so calif staying with her and her boyfriend Billy. She's a good kid (and i love it when she calls me uncle other) and should be back on the road to Rio here in a few.
Partying in long beach was great, still a little fuzzy from all that, but got to Rio a couple days early so i could chill a little. Crap, went down to check out the river and turned out to be the damn Pacific Ocean, ended up in pismo a week too damn early!! So now still gotta hot foot it to Rio before Sat...this could be challenging now. Got me a bike tho so should be allright for time. If i get short on time i'll just head straight to Murphy's...not missing that party!!
Couldnt get to Rio in time, but got to Murphy's in time to party! Rode my new bike in, which is why i was late, DT cycles was putting the custom upgrades on it.(thank you DT it was a fantastic job!) Good thing too without the horn i mighta hit somebody! Course it sounded a little froggy (damn i'm tired no one told me Murphy's was 2,000 ft elevation!!)
It was worth the trip to see Mimi head down on the breakfast table suffering from a wonderful hangover! (I think Cliff got some pics of that for the memory barn) And now luckily its a downhill trip all the way to Pismo for next weekend!
Got a ride outta Murphy's was kinda the wrong direction for pismo, but it was well worth it! Made a nice pit stop in Rancho for some R & R so now its back on the road Besides she had to go to work dammit (Naturally she's gonna say no way i was there...but if you look behind the Harley...the evidence is there!)
Now if you cant quite tell what the evidence is....here's another picture clue!! (more to follow)
Made it to Santa Cruz tonight, had a ton of energy after a great meal of Barb's cookin!! Thought i was going to have to have her kick the security guards ass tho, he kept eying my ride (course cant blame him it does look bad ass after the upgrades) So i'm hittin the rides on the boardwalk, and Pismo should be no prob getting there by Fri. Perk text'd me and said DK is bringing the blender...i'm ready for that action!!
