An Blackfoot Medicine Man was walking along the plains one day, when he noticed a sole flower growing. He was taken by the beauty of this sole flower growing in such harsh conditions, he knelt to touch the flower. The Medicine Man was surprised to touch the flower and feel such softness and delicatness, amazed that such a fragile flower could survive on the plains. It was then that he noticed the under side of the flower was strong and the stalk unwilling to be bent by the plain winds. He looked across the plain to see another but could not, he stood and looked to the flower and said 'Galalla'...beautiful flower.
