Introduction:
I live in CO. I am a MOM of a CU Boulder Graduate, a U.S. Marine, and a U.S. Sailor as well as an "adopted" MOM of a another Marine and a Soldier who is playing in the sand. When my son joined the Marines, I was drafted. When my "adopted" boy-my son's friend growing up-lost his mother I told him he was MINE now. THEN my baby daughter joined the Navy. AND just recently I "adopted" a soldier who needed family. I always wanted a big family. FOREVER afterward, I suspect, I will be directly involved in the Military and helping to champion causes for our VETs. I work - A LOT - in accounting and accounting type fields. BUT my passion is only slowly coming around. I am trying to find a way to buy a ranch in eastern Colorado to become a haven for our Veterans esp in helping to transition back into civilian life, helping to get jobs, being there for support and counciling, help guide them toward an education as well as giving them real work experience to put on their resume. AND I do not want to stop there, I want to eventually expand to be able to help some of our veterans of past wars ESP our Vietnam Vets to be as proud of themselves as Americans should be of them. I know I certainly am proud of each and every member of the military that has given of themselves in one way or another. THANK YOU!
