Extremely independent and successful business woman with all her bones connected properly and original parts! Absolutely believe my two girls are the most gorgeous human beings I have ever met and I not only LOVE them but am IN LOVE with them. Originally from Colorado but have lived in Florida for almost 6 years now and love it! UPDATE 5/20 On this beautiful child of mine and her head injury. Small hiccup here, adjusting medication and hope to be hearing her sweet laughter again real soon.
UPDATE 6/23 Can only keep my fingers crossed that things keep going as smoothly as they have been. Her smile and laughter is incredible and contagious!!
UPDATE 7/16 It's been a month and it's fantastic to see her smiling again!! August is filled with final testing for permanent motor skill function and maybe final determination on prognosis. The emotional factors still need to be tamed but we're working on putting out that fire!! It will be a life long effort.
UPDATE 8/16 It's interesting what medication can do for someone who really needs it. It doesn't prevent the seizures from happening, it only blocks the physical symptoms from manifesting. At this point we are thankful for that. She will be a junior this year and have switched her to a charter school with hopefully more individual attention. She continues to improve on a daily basis and is actually doing most activities a normal teenager does (except riding in a car without a seatbelt!). Life continues to be a challenge in certain aspects but learning to live with it. Her weight is hovering around 88 lbs but trying to keep it from falling any further. Current pictures of her can be seen in my latest album and you will see she is a pretty happy girl once again!
UPDATE 8/26 I look back on my words and wish with every breath I take that everything could still be as wonderful as they have been. I said it would be a long road but why does it have to be so curvy and bumpy? Slight relapse as of yesterday. Today 3 new medications and a supplement for weight gain. As usual, crossing my fingers but crossing my toes as well.
