Wow...where to begin. I am extremely independent, and hope to meet someone equally so. I'm a very intelligent, adventurous, quixotic, spontaneous, honest, fairly conservative guy with a rather dry sense of humor. I should also add that I am brutally honest and say exactly what I mean...not always in the most diplomatic manner (comes from being a bar manager for almost 20 years). My mouth has gotten me in more trouble thoughout my life than anything I've ever actually done. My life right now is so busy that, quite honestly, I have no idea what I'm looking for...perhaps just someone to spend some time with or ride with...I don't believe in rushing into anything. That doesn't mean I'm opposed to it, just want to be up front about things. I have had several comments on my profile saying that I don't "look conservative", so I guess I should clarify. By conservative, I mean that I have some old fashioned values...patriotism, chivalry; I open doors and pull out chairs and I have NEVER hit a woman in my life (not even in second grade when Teresa Sitler pushed me down on my ass), I still believe in marriage, that's why I've never done it...I only want to do it once, if I ever do it...forever. I love to cook, but not for one. I ride every chance I get, and love to go for the day with the camera and no particular destination. I have collected wine for over 20 years (red please), I play golf occasionally, play pool, poker with friends, love to take my dogs out to the beach or wherever or, maybe, head out on the boat for the day. I love to entertain and I give a really mean massage. I am somewhat of a renaissance man, I can fix almost anything and I can converse, at least semi-intelligently, on most subjects. I love all kinds of music, from Guns 'N' Roses to Beethoven. Where do you find symphony in coastal South Carolina? I love STEELERS FOOTBALL!!! I'm comfortable in jeans, which is what you'll find me in 95% of the time, but also in my tux. I enjoy museums, camping, and romantic weekend getaways (the wine country is a favorite)and I love to try new things. I moved to Pawleys Island about 4 years ago. I'm looking for a person who doesn't need someone to make her complete. I'm extremely independent and you should be as well. Honesty and integrity will earn you a gold star, however jealousy and/or possessiveness may result in a fine and/or impound of your vehicle. A years supply of Rice A Roni and a dozen long-stemmed sweet potatoes for spontanaeity and a sense of adventure. Intelligent conversation is as important to me as sexual chemistry (perhaps even more). I want to find someone whose personality I compliment and who compliments mine. My philosophy of relationships at this point in life is: We all have baggage, the trick is finding someone whose baggage matches yours. I am not perfect, and don't expect perfection in a mate however, I do feel that certain commonalities are important, values being one such commonality and a love of animals is a must... LOVE ME, LOVE MY DOGS!!! A love of sushi, thai and pizza is also a plus....I love trying new restaurants!!. I'm active in the PGR (feel free to ask), so I often get called up last minute to go riding off somewhere. I also went back to school this past semester, so my schedule doesn't allow me all that much free time, so I'd like to make the most of it!!
