On July 27, 2009 Bill was heading on to the ramp at 287 and Lone Star Road and lost control, was then ejected and landing in the left lane of the highway.
Bill suffered a serious brain injury referred to as cerbal hematoma (bleeding of the brain) along with broken ribs and road rash on 50% of his body. Bill spent 38 days in ICU at John Peter Smith Hospital in Forth Worth.
The doctors are not sure what is long term prognosis is as they beleive he has lost all of his short term memory. He could very well need long term care for the rest of his life or in a nursing home.
On September 1th Bill was moved to a nursing home/rehabilitation center for an undetermined amount of time. We remain positive that he could recover to at least 75% but nothing is promised at this moment. Bill has no medical insurance and any help would be greatly appreciated.
so obviously after reading this i had to do something to help, so the red lion will be having a benefit for bill on sept 12th starting at 3 pm please come out and join us!!!!!!!!
