Introduction:
"AMERICAN GHOST RIDERS"

A.G.R. and our family of members are dedicated to the education and study of the paranormal and supernatural in all it's forms. Through member participation in our investigations and in cooperation with other associations we will accomplish our mission. Our mission is to provide answers for those who are seeking guidance, understanding, and help with the unexplained. For those who are intimidated, confused, or tormented, A.G.R. will be there.
A.G.R. invites anyone interested in the Paranormal, Supernatural, UFO's or Crypto Zoology to join our group and visit the official A.G.R. website www.freaky-links.com
The GYPSY: Founder of A.G.R.
Years Experience: Forty Seven Team Duties: Lead Investigator, Clairvoyant, Photographer, Public Relations
Special Skills: Recording & Sound Engineering, Photography, Video Surveillance, Precognition, Organization, Sensitive, Counseling, Computer Skills, Discerning of Spirits, Investigative Tactics.
The GYPSY was born in Topeka, Kansas in 1956. He is an Artist by trade and owns Skin Art Creations Tattoo Emporium of Independence, Kansas. One of only 27 people world wide certified as a Master Tattoo Artist by the Alliance of Professional Tattooists he also serves on the Kansas Board of Cosmetology as the representative for the Body Art industry in Kansas. In October 1963 The GYPSY moved with his Mother and Sister into his Grandmothers home in Topeka, Kansas. The home was built in 1858 and has a long history of Paranormal activity. Shortly after moving into his Grandmothers home he had his first encounter and so was born his life long love of the strange, unusual and unexplained. Over the years The GYPSY has had numerous Paranormal and Supernatural experiences. He has had close encounters with UFO's and several Sasquatch. He found himself, in 1979, being able to combine Cryptozoology with Zoology when he became a Zookeeper at Abilene Zoological Gardens in Abilene, Texas. After a brief stint in the U.S. Army The GYPSY returned to Zoo keeping becoming a Senior Keeper at El Paso Zoological Park in El Paso, Texas. The desert provided the perfect environment for his continued Cryptozoology studies and also increased his research into Ufology. The GYPSY is a "Sensitive" which gives him the ability to discern spirits. He also has the ability to "feel" the mood of spirits. This is a type of Clairvoyance and should not be confused with those that can communicate with spirits. The most interesting ability that The GYPSY has is "Presentiment", this is a form of Precognition where in future events are perceived emotionally. This ability has saved The GYPSY, his family and friends on several occasions. The GYPSY has won World wide recognition and numerous awards for his artwork as well as being involved in community affairs and civic organizations. The GYPSY is the first tattoo artist to ever run for a Political office campaigning for a City Council seat in Baxter Springs, Kansas and is now the Democratic Candidate for the District 12 Representative seat for the Kansas House. The GYPSY has 2 Daughters, 4 Sons and 3 Granddaughters. He Married Debbie George on July 4th, 1998 whom he met online in 1997. Debbie is also a Founder of A.G.R. and one of the teams most valuable assets.
THE ART OF WORLD RENOWN AWARD WINNING ARTIST J. A. GEORGE AKA; THE GYPSY
NEWEST OIL PAINTING BY: J. A. George
"SPIRITS IN THE SKY" By: J. A. George
I had posed a challenge to people on the BikerOrNot Blogs. The challenge was, Who can give me the best inspiration for a painting. There were so many good ideas that I decided to incorporate the best of several of the suggestions into one painting.
I welcome your critique.
ALL PAINTINGS ARE ORIGINAL BY THE ARTIST
Most of J. A. George's oil paintings are 16" x 20" on Canvas Board or 18" x 24" on gallery finished stretched canvas.

I would like to meet anyone who has an interest in Art, Motorcycles, Tattooing, Body Piercing, The Theatre, Politics, Religion, Nature, The Supernatural, Philosophy, History, etc. I'm pretty open for conversations and discussions of all sorts. I don't like to play games or have people play games with me. I am on BikerOrNot to make friends and promote my websites. Friendship and business are two things that I take very seriously. I have no time for "Name Collectors" so if that is what you are about please move on.
I am a member of the Alliance Of Professional Tattooists. Through education, knowledge and activism, APT and its members promote the understanding that professional tattooing is a safe expression of art.
I am one of only 27 People World Wide who have passed the Tattoo Mastery Test given by the Alliance of Professional Tattooists.
I recently retired after 35 years in the Body Art Industry and I was the Representative for the Body Art Industry in Kansas as a member of the Kansas State Board of Cosmetology.
EVERYTHING YOU EVER WONDERED ABOUT The GYPSY BUT WERE AFRAID TO ASK!
The GYPSY was born in Topeka, Kansas in 1956. He exhibited his artistic talent at 18 months old when he drew a picture of a cow on the inside cover of a coloring book. He never had another color book after that time. His Mother, recognizing his natural talent, kept him well supplied in crayons and newsprint paper. The GYPSY'S Grandmother also recognized his early artistic abilities and at 6 years of age enrolled him in art classes at Washburn University where he soon out surpassed the other students in his class. His instructors moved him quickly from beginner to intermediate classes and soon into an advanced adult class where he was discovered by famed portrait artist Harry Roth. Mr. Roth took The GYPSY under his wing and gave him private lessons for the next 3 years. In 1964 The GYPSY won a City wide art contest with a crayon and water color drawing of a space walk. This picture went on to win first place for his age group in State competition and later in National. It remained on display at the Smithsonian Institution from 1964 - 1965. It resides in the museum archives.
In 1974, while still in High School, The GYPSY started doing freelance art for the Nazarene publishing House in KCMO. That same year he started college courses for Forestry & Wildlife Management. The GYPSY graduated from High School at Mid-Term in 1976 and immediately was called for an interview from a major greeting card company (at the time he was taking college classes for Technical Illustration & Mechanical drafting). Turning down the contract that the company offered The GYPSY stopped by a tattoo studio on his way back home and he was hooked. He started his 18 month apprenticeship the next day and the rest is history.
The GYPSY had the first professional Tattoo Studio in St. Joseph, Missouri which opened in 1977. He has also had studios in San Angelo, Midland, El Paso and Abilene, Texas. All except El Paso being the first of their kind in those cities. The GYPSY has had several careers in his life including Army Enlistment, Psychiatric Nurse, Senior Zoo Keeper and Truck Driver all while still maintaining numerous studios all under the Skin Art Creations name. In 1990 The GYPSY opened the first tattoo studio in the 4 State region of Southeast Kansas, Southwest Missouri, Northeast Oklahoma & Northwest Arkansas. In 1992 The GYPSY received formal training for advanced piercing procedures and became the first professional piercer in the region.
In 1995 The GYPSY opened a second studio in Independence, Kansas which he closed a year later due to lack of competent help. The Baxter Springs Studio operated until Christmas Eve of 2002 when, due to lack of community support and the overly liberal tattoo and piercing laws in Joplin, Missouri ($50.00 and a blood test will get you a license), which has caused the market to become flooded, the Baxter Springs studio was closed. The GYPSY reopened the Independence, Kansas Studio in November of 2002 and now operates full time from there.
The GYPSY has won World wide recognition and numerous awards for his artwork as well as being involved in community affairs and civic organizations. The GYPSY is the first tattoo artist to ever run for a Political office campaigning for a City Council seat in Baxter Springs, Kansas and the Democratic Candidate for the District 12 Representative seat for the Kansas House.
The GYPSY is currently writing his autobiography which has an expected publish date of Spring 2011.
The GYPSY has 1 Daughter, 5 Sons and 2 Granddaughters. He Married Debbie George on July 4th, 1998 whom he met in 1997.

I am a founding member (retired) of the Missouri Reapers M/C. Our Parent Chapter was the Kansas Reapers M/C. The Kansas Reapers M/C was started by the late Larry "Prez" Patterson and Tom Mayfield. Located in Northeast Kansas and later expanded to a our Missouri chapter, the Missouri Reapers, with President Robert Hyatt and VP Gary McBride.
We lost Larry in 2009. We continue to ride and party together as friends, and have had a renewed interest in the club and it's history. We were a great group of friends, spending time with each other and getting away from the stress of work and mainstream America.
The club's motto, "It's The Brother, Not The Bike" still stands true today. Though the majority of us ride Harleys, there was a day there were only a small group that did. We based our membership on the rider. Not what he had the money to buy or not to buy. We rode hard. Traveled all over together. Spent a lot of time together. We were a true brotherhood and remain so today. We know if we need something, we are only a phone call away from each other. Little by little we keep finding members who have slipped out of touch with each other and our group is growing once again. RFFR

1970 BSA 650 Thunderbolt Me and my 1970 BSA A65T Thunderbolt. This photo was taken in Saint Joseph, Missouri in the spring of 1978. I threw two newspaper routes when I was 15 years old to earn this scooter. It was brand new and had 5 miles on it the day I picked it up. I still own the bike! |

1983 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide This was a Shriners Bike and was garage kept from day one. It was one of only 27 built for the Kansas City Area Shriners and may be the only one still in original condition. It had 23,500 miles on it when I bought it in April of 2007. I only paid $7,500.00 for it. The guy I got it from had owned it since 1989 and had only put 8,000 miles on it in 18 years time. I do that a year! Traded it for 2001 Road King Classic on August 6, 2010. |

1972 Harley-Davidson Sportster My first Harley which I purchased in 1974 for only $1,000.00. It had 500 miles on it and the guy I got it from was afraid of it because he had dropped it once. The only damage was a small dent in one of the pipes which I never repaired. I owned this bike until 2000 when I traded it for a 1998 Road King. The photo was taken in 1984 in Tom Mays Park off of Trans-Mountain road in El Paso, Texas. With me is my (then), seven year old daughter Dawn Renee. |

1998 Harley-Davidson Road King Me with my Road King, I only owned this bike a short time before me and my wife went threw a bankruptcy and I had to sell it. I had traded my 1972 XLH for it and it was a hard thing for me to have to get rid of this bike. This photo was taken the summer of 2003 in Independence, Kansas the day that I sold the bike. It would be 4 more years before I again owned a Harley. |

1985 Honda Sabre I traded one hours tattoo work (I got $100.00 per hour at that time), with a guy from Laconia, NH for this 750cc V45 Honda Sabre in 2005. New tires and a carb cleaning gave me a cheap, good ride while I recovered from my bankruptcy. I sold this bike for $950.00 (I used the money to help purchase a bike for my wife), through eBay in April of 2007 shortly after purchasing my 1983 FLHT. This photo was taken in Riverside Park Independence, Kansas in August 2005. |

My new (to me), 2001 HD Road King that I purchased from Cycle Connection in Joplin, Missouri on 08/06/2010 Harley Financial owns my soul for the next 72 months but that's OK because Harley-Davidson has owned me my entire life. If I have to explain that you wouldn't understand. |
