Introduction: I have many blogs, the ones with GREEN text in the title are all about riding filled with just about any topic you can imagine. They have good comments from the members here as well to view. This is all good things for newer riders to go through if you have the time. A group effort from many of us here to help fellow bikers out. Enjoy. ....................................................... Every 4-5000 miles I spend about 8 hours starting at the front working my way to the back checking every single nut, bolt, screw, hose clamp, wires, and connections for signs of wear, looseness or any other visible potential problems that may happen and leave you stranded or possibly injured. This does not require alot of special tools to do on most bikes. It does get you familiar with what your bike should look like, this helps when you are doing a quick visual inspection before each ride. Something out of place will stand right out at you. ....................................................... Doing this makes the difference between a great ride and a disappointing venture from home. Learn your bike from top to bottom and listen to it when it says something, you will become one with it. ....................................................... I'm 165 miles south of Daytona, 35 miles north of West Palm Bch. and five minutes from the Turnpike and 95 in case someone wants to stop by for a beer, steak, whatever or has mechanical problems. I got tools. Been riding since 1966 at 14 yr.s old with a restricted license. Enjoy helping others and have some good info here for newer riders to see. ....................................................... Have been a carpenter all my adult life since high school and have my own company, an army of one. .............Have Saw ~ Will Travel...............

Remember, 1. you are invisable, no one can see you on your bike, expect for every car and truck to pull out in front of you, never let your guard down. 2. you must learn how to ride slow before you can ride fast, practice, balance, coordination, become one with your bike. 3. go on some backroads away from traffic to get comfortable.
