ABOUT OPEN ARMS 4 BREVARD

Open Arms 4 Brevard is an organization composed of volunteers, dedicated to offering support to the community at large. We offer a variety of services to include the collection of food for the unemployed and needy residents of Brevard County, Florida.

Since the inception of Open Arms 4 Brevard, we have been presented with various circumstances from Brevard County residents to include domestic violence, health related issues and foreclosure. As such, we have made it a point to address each need to the best of our abilities and provided the appropriate resources located within our county.

We also promote senior citizen health care, by the formation of FREE health fairs presented to individual communities. With the help of organizations such as Health First, Senior Resource Alliance, CVS Pharmacy, Veterans Administration, The Florida Blood Bank and many others, we are able to provide our senior citizens with the help that they need to ensure that they are not doing without their medications and other necessities.

Open Arms 4 Brevard has now implemented a program that provides used medical equipment such as wheel chairs, walkers and other items to residents that could otherwise not afford them. If you have items such as this that you would like to donate, please contact us. Keep in mind that all equipment MUST be in good, working condition.

Our organization is based on caring. The volunteers are aware of and can feel the same financial pressures that most everyone across the country is experiencing today. Most of the individuals that now find themselves out of work are not familiar with, nor have they ever had the need to turn to an outside source for help. Some are prideful or embarrassed by their current circumstances. We recognize the many emotions that these people are experiencing. With great heart and determination we are sincerely dedicated in letting the community know that we are here, we do care, there is no judgment and we are here to help.

A great number of individuals are experiencing major financial hardship and need our help. Our goal is to supplement the residents with additional food and other services, until such time as they become eligible for further relief.

Please review our link and sponsor pages on the website www.openarms4brevard.org; there you will find additional resources to include mortgage assistance. We will always be happy to assist you via telephone as well, don't hesitate to call us.
Should you or your organization have food, clothing or medical equipment that you would like to donate, please contact us.
