For attractive lips, speak words of kindness. For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people. For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry. For beautiful hair, let a child run their fingers through it once a day. For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone. People, even more than things have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone. Loud pipes save lives, Jesus Christ saves souls
Our lives begin to end the day that we become silent about the things that matter. – Martin Luther King, Jr.
When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not shouting "I'm clean livin." I'm whispering "I was lost," Now I'm found and forgiven. When I say..."I am a Christian" I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need CHRIST to be my guide. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need HIS strength to carry on. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not claiming to be perfect, My flaws are far too visible but, God believes I am worth it. When I say... "I am a Christian" I still feel the sting of pain, I have my share of heartaches So I call upon His name. When I say... "I am a Christian" I'm not holier than thou, I'm just a simple sinner who received God's good grace, somehow. ~Maya Angelou

About Me:
I have the most wonderful man in my life. Funny how we can have known the same people, hung with the same bands and been to the same places for the past 15+ years and never met until last year. He's certainly no prince charming, he's a roughneck rigger on a Harley (my knight in black leather) who makes me feel like I'm the only one in the room when he looks at me and he looks at me with his heart in his eyes. He's better than a prince charming b/c he's GENUINE and prince charmings are too high maintenance anyway. He's given me a reason to smile when I think of a relationship and I get big time butterflies when I think of him. He GETS me and understands me and is patient with me. LOL!
We are stepping into the future together with a new little one on the way. He’s concerned, of course, b/c of my age, but I’m doing great so far! We also are getting married this summer and moving into a house on 5 acres just outside of the city (God willing) with plenty of room for ourselves, our kids and this new little one. He's a good man with a heart of gold, my true soulmate and the one making all of my dreams come true! There’s not a day of my future that I can picture without him in it. I want him in my life for the rest of my life and, thankfully, he feels the same. LOL!
I'm passionate about my daughter and my man and OUR baby to be, good family relationships, friends, slow dances with long, hot kisses, anything country or Celtic, good live music, our military, my Country, good food and lots of laughter. I'm a country girl at heart living in the city and I know simple pleasures are the best. Some of mine: easy-going conversations, comfortable silences, holding hands, good live music, the sizzling chemistry and heat that comes from flirting with the one I’m in a relationship with, watching stars come out, camping in the fall with big bonfires and roasting marshmallows, watching football and cheering on the home team, barefoot backyard BBQ's with good friends, cold beer and watching children chase fireflies. I believe in God, my country, warm hugs, good old fashioned values, that belly laughs are beautiful and having a warm home and healthy respect for others.
I work for a defense contractor so you better believe that I support our military, though even if I didn't work for one I'd still support them wholeheartedly. Word of warning...if you don't support them then you better keep your mouth shut around me or be prepared for a major whoopin' from me. They and their families have and continue to sacrifice so much for our safety and freedom over here and deserve NOTHING less than our absolute and utmost respect and support for their service, sacrifice and the decisions they've made to do what they do.
I just turned 35 last year, but I don't feel (or look) anything close to that and I'm enjoying all of it. I’m having the time of my life living life to the fullest. I'm sometimes classy, usually sassy, at times naughty and always sweet. I'm full of mischief and have a big smile on my face. You can find me making new friends everywhere I go. I love making people feel at home and I love to laugh so you can bet that I'm probably trying to make others laugh right along with me. I firmly believe that friends are the family we make for ourselves. We can't choose the family we were born in to, but we can choose those we call our friends and make them part of our family.
I'm a cuddler and a snuggler, I believe it is better to build someone up than to tear them down but don't mistake my niceness for naivety, I have no problem taking care of what needs to be taken care of for myself or those close to my heart. And you can take that to the bank. I'm good at finding the BS and the games and I don't put up with either. I'm straightforward (maybe sometimes too much so), honest (to a fault at times), intelligent and trustworthy. I know who I am, what I want out of life and I know what I deserve and I refuse to settle for less than that.
I've been a passenger on bikes since I was 7 or 8 and, for me, there's nothing like it! I got my daughter started on motorcycles when she was 6 and she's just as addicted to them as I am!
The following are the "Rules of the Road" for motorcycles (rewritten from Rules of the Air).
1. Every ride off is optional. Every parking job is mandatory. 2. If you push the left bar, the bike goes right. If you push the right bar, the bike goes left. That is, unless you push either bar too far, in which case the bike goes down. 3. Riding isn't dangerous. Crashing is dangerous. 4. It's always better to be on the sidelines wishing you were on the track than on the track wishing you were on the sidelines. 5. The ONLY time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. 6. When in doubt, slow down. No one has ever hit something too slow. 7. A 'good' ride is one from which you can walk away. A 'great' ride is one after which you can use the bike again. 8. Learn from the mistakes of others. You won't live long enough to make all of them yourself. 9. You know you've left the side-stand down when all left turn are Bat-turns. You know you've left the center-stand down when your in 1st gear at 4000 rpm going nowhere. 10. Never let an motorcycle take you somewhere your brain didn't get to three seconds earlier. 11. Stay out of fog, The taillights you are following may be a Winnebago parked in the middle of the road. Reliable sources also report that eighteen wheel trucks, large SUV's and deer have been known to hide out in fog. 12. Always try to keep the number of times you put your parking stand down equal to the number of times you put the parking stand up. 13. There are two simple rules for riding smoothly and fast in snow and on ice. Unfortunately no one knows what they are. 14. You start with a bag full of luck and an empty bag of experience. The trick is to fill the bag of experience before you empty the bag of luck. 15. If all you can see in your mirrors is sparks and all you can hear is screaming from your passenger, things may not be as they should be. 16. In the ongoing battle between objects made of metal, rubber and fiberglass going 50+ miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose. Same holds for cars, large trucks, and animals taller than you. Draws don't count. 17. Good judgment comes from experience. Unfortunately, the experience usually comes from bad judgment. 18. It's always a good idea to keep the headlight end going forward and the tires below you as much as possible. 19. Keep looking around. There's always something you've missed. 20. Remember, gravity and centrifugal force are not just a good ideas. They're laws and are not subject to repeal. 21. The two most useless things to a rider are the braking distance behind you and nine-tenths of a second ago.
“BIKER'S ALPHABET”
I came home from work one bright, sunny day, And looked out the window, saw the rugrats at play. I glanced at the table, upon which a book, Lay open. I grabbed it and gave it a look.
The bright colored pictures, my son had, you could tell, Looked at it, and wondered, in his way, what the hell, Are all these strange symbols and letters about? This is not like the magazines my old man leaves out.
I looked at it closely and it went down the list. "A is for apples", the other letters like this. I started to thinking about the best chuckle yet. It's time to write down The Biker's Alphabet.
A is for Assholes, you dodge on the street. B is for Bitches, they're looking so sweet. C is for Chrome, the Biker's sunshine of life. D is for Dancers, your M/C bro's wife. J is for Jerk Offs, you give them your boot. K is for K Model, bike of yesteryear. L is for Liquor, the booze and the beer. M is for Money, to go party in town. N is for (K)'Nuckles, used to (k)'nock assholes down. O is for Old Lady, who sweetens your bed. P is for Pussy, no more need be said. Q is for Quick, it's how you getaway. R is for Roadrash, let's hope none today. S is for Softail, the bike slung so low. T is for Tires, they make your bike go. U is for Up Yours, you say to some jerk. It's life's greatest classroom, have you guessed it yet? It's your dreams, as they're spelled out, The Biker's Alphabet.
Cancer: June 21 - July 22
Your element: Water Your ruling planets: The Moon Symbol: The Crab Your stone: Moonstone, Opal and Pearl Your lucky flower: Daisies Life Pursuit: Constant reassurance and intimacy Vibration: Moody Cancer's Secret Desire: To feel safe (emotionally, spiritually, romantically and financially)
Cancer THE CRAB is the sign of the protector, the parent
The symbol for Cancer is the Crab, with its protective shell. People with this Sun sign are sometimes also called "Moon Children," because the Moon is the ruler of the sign. Emotions are a very important part in the life of a Cancerian. Although naturally defensive and very afraid of being hurt, they put their hearts and soul in to relationships and are faithful, loving and loyal partners. Love and romance matter more than anything else to this sign. No other sign romances better, though, no sign takes it so badly when romance turns sour either. But with their changeable natures Cancerians are fascinating, mysterious, stimulating and extremely alluring.
This sign is one of the most magic of all and once their magic has reached you, they are the most beguiling companions. After all, isn't the Moon the most talked about and romantic galactic identity? They are the most sensitive of partners offering a stable, secure relationship filled with love and care. Cancerians place much importance on the home and family. Their family or their "family of friends" is the center of their life. Cancer is the sign of motherhood. In both sexes, it produces a parenting instinct that is caring, protective, and indulging. They are strongly attracted to people who are confident. Cancerians have a very soft heart; they care about people and are quite helpful. Love and romance matter more than anything else to this sign. They are mentally a mixture of toughness and softness, often emotional and romantic to the point of sentimentality in their fantasies. Cancerian loves, rather reveres their home and loved ones. They tend to settle down very quickly and naturally after marriage. Their first loyalty remains to spouse and family; they are also loyal friends.
Cancerians are one of the zodiac's enigmas. It is fair to say that most Cancers are a bundle of contradictions. Compassionate and caring with friends, family and lovers, yet they can cut to the bone with their jealous remarks and ever-changing moods. They need to tell their deepest thoughts. When those around them are not receptive, they can become quite difficult to reach. The "crabby" part of Cancer shows up once in awhile, as well. When these moods are in control of their behavior, they can snap someone's head off for no reason at all. People they live around have to learn that the Cancerian is not really angry with them. This is just the way Moon children are sometimes. Endearingly caring on one hand, and on the other, insecure about how others see them. Like their astrological symbol - the Crab - Cancers can appear hard and insensitive on the outside, however, deep below lays a softness and sensitivity that makes Cancers so very special.
They are likely to be exceedingly protective of their feelings, as well as the feelings of those to whom they are close. They are acutely aware of the atmosphere of feelings surrounding them with an almost psychic’s intuition. It's not what the people say, but simply the way they say it and the way Cancerians interpret their meaning by listening to what is said versus the tone and inflection of the words, body language and facial expressions. There’s very little that can be hidden from a Cancer in a face to face situation. When they cry, it is because they are deeply hurt from inside. A harsh glance or a rough tone can easily break Cancer's vulnerable heart. They are attuned to the past. They tend to cling to reminders and memorabilia of their family and of earlier times. It's hard for them to part with something when there may be a chance need some rainy day, no matter how remote that chance may be. Cancers are the original "pack-rats." Hardworking and dedicated, Cancers make an excellent employee. They are loyal and respect authority. This makes them supportive and protective of the boss and rarely questioning company policy. They do find it very difficult to handle change and disruption. If they are the boss, they like their employees to be dedicated as they are.
Positive qualities: At best Cancerians are sensitive, kind and sympathetic, with an absolute urge to nurture and protect people around them. This is most apparent with home and family. So lies the soft side of Cancer, but there is a hard side too, they can be very enterprising, shrewd, and self-assured. When all is in tune Cancerians are intuitive, highly imaginative and resourceful, knowing instinctively when to reach others and when to withdraw into their protective shell. Kind, sensitive, sympathetic and empathetic, maternal/paternal, solicitous, extremely protective, cautious, patriotic, tenacious, thrifty, a good homemaker, patriotic, loyal, good memory, patient, idealistic, self-sacrificing, helpful.
Negative qualities: Cancer has a deep inferiority complex, any hurt (both real and imagined), is brooded upon at length. They can tend to jump in with both feet before thinking about the consequences of their actions when it involves defending those close to their hearts. Cancerians tend to look back at, and hold on to things from the past, they can be very possessive. They are inherently conservative in their outlook, but this does not get in the way of initiating change where they deem necessary. Over emotional, hypersensitive, moody, devious, changeable, self-pitying, unforgiving, vengeful on behalf of others, gullible, untidy, can be indecisive at times, inferiority complex, easily hurt.
