Introduction:
READ MY PROFILE BEFORE YOU SEND ME A FRIEND REQUEST!

I'm a free spirit with a strong sense of home and family. My friends and other relationships are everything to me. I'm not here for dating.

I love the coast, dogs, my bike, good books, loyalty, cool ideas, new adventures, and anything that makes me laugh. I love weekends with my girlfriends, lazy mornings with a lover, late-night hot-tubbing, and riding side-by-side with the people I love.

I'm not too mature or proud to stop in the middle of nowhere to dance to a favorite song. If you're a true friend, you'll stop and dance with me. Some girlfriends reminded me how much fun that can be the other night, and it's a reminder I intend to take with me from here on out.

I've always got a ton of irons in the fire, and I am constantly learning new things and taking on new adventures. From what I hear, it can be exhausting to try to keep up, but it's gotta be pretty fun to watch sometimes.

DISCLAIMER: I don't typically accept friend requests from folks who haven't contacted me first, especially if you don't live in my area, and we're not likely to ride together. If I reject your request, don't be offended, just send me a note. If we might actually be friends one day, or if we have something to talk about, I'll add you.

Turn ons:
Honesty, humor, tattoos (only good ones!), intelligence, physical fitness (MUSCLES!), strength of body and of character (MUSCLES!), heart, determination...and a nice ass! I love a southern gentleman with a great sense of adventure and a bit of a wild side.
Turn offs:
Whiners, lazy people, quitters, drama-addicts, and negative people in general. Life's too short to surround yourself with folks who haven't figured out that life's 90% attitude.
Ideal:
I'll tell you when I know.
Activities:
Riding my bike, two-stepping, cooking, camping, sailing, fishing, hanging out with my friends, exploring, traveling, trying new things, and generally making the most out of every single day.

Favorite Quotes:
"If you can't handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don't deserve me at my best."
- Marilyn Monroe

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
- Mark Twain

"Most people have (with the help of conventions) turned their solutions toward what is easy and toward the easiest side of the easy; but it is clear that we must trust in what is difficult; everything alive trusts in it, everything in Nature grows and defends itself any way it can and is spontaneously itself, tries to be itself at all costs and against all opposition. We know little, but that we must trust in what is difficult is a certainty that will never abandon us; it is good to be solitary, for solitude is difficult; that something is difficult must be one more reason for us to do it. It is also good to love: because love is difficult. For one human being to love another human being: that is perhaps the most difficult task that has been entrusted to us, the ultimate task, the final test and proof, the work for which all other work is merely preparation."
- Rainer Maria Rilke

"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
- Edmund Burke

"There may be no solution; seek it lovingly."
- Zen saying

"You may all go to Hell, and I will go to Texas."
- Davy Crockett

"Let your tongue speak what your heart thinks."
- Davy Crockett

"Sell crazy someplace else. We're all stocked up here."
- "As Good as it Gets"

"We have the right as individuals to give away as much of our own money as we please in charity; but as members of Congress we have no right to appropriate a dollar of the public money."
- Davy Crockett
About Me:
I'm a wanderer. I can't usually settle in one place very long before I get the urge to roam, but I've been back in Austin, TX, for a few years, and I'm not going anywhere just yet. Riding my bike as much as I can takes care of a lot of the wanderlust. Thankfully, I don't think there are many better places on the planet than the Texas Hill Country and Austin, so I'm making my home here now.

Also, I'm a honky-tonk gal. I love listening to and dancing to live, classic country music, and I love people who are real...honest, down-to-Earth, shoot-from-the-hip, real folks.

In the first 18 months that I had my bike, I rode well over 20,000 miles, including a trip down the California coast from San Francisco to San Diego; a trip to Sturgis, returning by way of Little Bighorn, Yellowstone, and Grand Tetons; and a trip to Daytona, Miami Beach, and Key West during Daytona Bike Week in March of 2008. For Labor Day 2008, I made a Colorado trip with a bunch of friends, including a stop in Durango on the way home.

I love trips like that...ride, ride, ride...stop for some pictures, a meal, or a beer...and keep riding until we lay down our bed rolls as the sun goes down or even long after. On the Florida trip, we did about 3,000 miles in 10 days, through heat and serious storms. The best part was that it combined some of my favorite things: the ocean, friends, and some great riding!

My favorite part of the Sturgis trip was when my boyfriend (at the time...) would tell the story of our back-to-back, 650-mile days on the way up there. He always closed the story with "And she didn't bitch even once!" That pretty much sums me up. I do stuff instead of talking about it, and I fix things instead of bitching about them. I prefer to be around folks who do the same.

I can throw down a bed roll in the middle of a field after riding hard all day and eat a dinner of trail mix and Lone Star, and I can fit right into the fanciest five-star resort or high-end restaurant. Mostly, I just like enjoying life, wherever that takes me.
