As the old saying goes, changes are not permanent, change is.

My daughter managed to survive a few years with dad. She graduated high school and decided to sprout her wings and leave the nest. She returned to live in San Antonio with grandpa and be near family and friends.

My son, who idolizes his big sister, really wanted to be with her. Grandpa was elated and cleared out the extra bedroom. Now they are both waiting for me to return to San Antonio myself. I will return in Nov 2010, as soon as my time is finished here in Wichita Falls. I am in the Air Force and they like to tell me where I can live. My house is empty and very peaceful. It’s not right. I have to turn the TV and the radio on just to feel normal.

Long term plans are to go back to my home town, New Braunfels, it’s just a few miles from San Antonio, right at the base of the Texas hill country. To tell the truth, I may retire and see if I can get a civilian job in Bagdad, the pay is great. Let’s see how that all works out.

I left the original profile from a couple of years ago in place. Except for a the above changes, it’s all the same.

I am a single dad doing my best to raise my two kids and instill a few good old fashion values in them; you know the ones I am talking about, a distrust of authority, well developed skepticism etc. My daughter is doing fine but my son may turn out to be normal despite my efforts. I have my kids 24/7, so at least I have plenty of time to work with them.

Obviously I love to ride. I love muscle cars also. If I had enough money I would collect them. I do my best to keep fit and can still pass my pt test with flying colors. I am an active duty Air Force medic, so it’s all part of my job.

Once, in another life time I was a musician, or at least a bass player. I spent the 80’s in a band, put out some material, toured etc. It was great. I try to keep my creative side alive. I still write poetry and short stories and am even starting to play the bass again. I am going to post one or two poems from time to time.

I enjoy traveling. I have been across most of Europe and still plan on returning. I love history and watch almost every epic movie they make. Mongol just came out and you can bet I will go and see it soon.

I also love psychology. I have my Allied Health degree in Mental Health. If you want to know a little about your personality click here:

Yea, I need to put up some better picture. I know, it’s just that I am a bit lazy.

Confident, outgoing, laid back women. I still enjoy the occasional night on the town; however, I am a strong believer that anything can be fun with the right person. I am all about chemistry. I am fiercely loyal to family and friends and expect the sam
Turn offs:
If you want to be chased, I am the wrong guy for you. If you are impressed by material possessions, again, I am the wrong guy. I’ll take quality over quantity any time.

I don't watch that much TV.

Historical/Epic and psychological thrillers.

About Me:
An original poem posted 25 April. I am always interested in feedback.

I am going deaf
I hope you’ll understand
If I no longer turn
To face you when you speak

What’s that you say?
No need to apologize
I am sure it’s not your fault

It may be
The angry shouts
Of defiant youth
Still ringing in my head

It may be
The amplifiers and soundboards
Of my glory
Refusing to dissipate

It may be
The hundred goodbye and keep in touch
I’ve uttered
Or, the longing to hear those words
I never said
That lingers in my ears

It may be
I am still hearing
The whispered
I love you and I’ll never leave
Before waking and finding myself alone

I am going deaf
I hope you’ll understand
If I no longer turn
To face you when you speak
