Introduction:
My name is Krackers, "real" name Maria, and I'm married to Big Ben who's also registered on this site.
Since joining this site at the tail end of last year, I've made a good selection of dear and wonderful friends who have thoroughly enriched my life, even if most are thousands of miles away.
In May, I've exchanged my Sportster 883 custom with a BMW F650 GS. It's simply better for my health and my spine with all the potholes around here. But the most important thing is that it gets me reliable from A to B and back, sometimes the long way round, sometimes a bit more direct.
As you can see from my nickname, people think I don't quite fit in - which doesn't bother me.
My passions in life are my hubby, music, my bike and my knitting as well as my friends. Without these friends (you know who you are) my life would be a far less colourful and sadder place.

You're never too old to learn new things. Passed my bike test just before my 40th birthday on a Friday the 13th when 2 decades ago I wouldn't have been found dead on a bike!

anything that sounds and is "natural"; nothing you need a can opener for to hear it; jazz, classical, blues, musicals, rock, pop, ballads, folk, jazz, salsa, country - it all depends what mood I'm in (no, I'm not a moody cow, situations and moods change for everybody).
For me, life is music and music is life. There's a tune or melody for every situation.

MASH, Home Improvement, The Dinosaurs, American Chopper, Animal Planet, Discovery, The Seeker, Warehouse 13, ... see a pattern here?

Wide range. Most loved ones include Broken Bridges, Hatari, Avanti, Police Academy, Blues Brothers, Sleepless in Seattle, Whilst you were sleeping, all Walt Disney movies, Sabrina (the original), High Society, Men's Favourite Sport, Grizzly Adams, Wild Hogs, ....
Generally, anything that's rated U - I'm prohibited from watching vampire movies, more out of self defence (not mine) cause vampires bite... and I have vivid dreams...

anything that's not fast enough to run up a tree before it's caught - come to think of it, sounds much like my food choices

2005 Harley-Davidson Sportster
My full time mode of transport until 12May09. Sold her and got a "new" (used) BMW F650 GS.

2000 BMW Funduro
This is what she looks like as at 15Sep09. If you want to see details of her before and during the paint job, go into my pictures.
It's a GS model, not the road model. The colour is a metallic one (hey, I'm a redneck). She's about 2/3 of the weight if my Sportster and so much better to handle. The Sporty was a little sluggish in comparison, even with the Mikuni carb.
But this one shouldn't be allowed on the road. She's WAY too much fun!
