| Looking for: |
Friends, riding partners

|
Religion: |
Ordained minister - Universal Life Church |
|
Introduction:
I don't list 'friends' to boost my numbers. I include people close to home, those who make an impression, or people that I genuinely LIKE. If you want me to post your business name on here, the usual advertising rates apply.
I 'm a compassionate guy who cares deeply about my friends and family. I'm not afraid to be the first to take an unpopular stance against what I feel is wrong. I'm the life of the party, but I'm also a shoulder to cry on. |
Turn ons:
Trust. Quiet confidence. Long, curly hair, a spontaneous smile, and flashing eyes. Great sense of humor. Cuddling. Spur of the minute plans. Thunderstorms! |
Turn offs:
"One bike brand" women, druggies, drunks, bullies, know-it-alls, attitudes, people with no respect for others, control freaks, arrogance, jealousy, drama. |
Ideal:
A happy woman who is beautiful inside and out. Someone who respects herself enough to maintain a great body and mind. Great sense of humor, sultry, and sensuous. A mellow personality with a laid-back style who doesn't sweat the petty crap. | |

Activities:
Reading, riding when I can, (short season in MinneSNOWta), and working on/customizing my bike. The best time spent is playing with my granddaughters, though.
I really enjoy seeing 'retro' artists in small venues (Bob Newhart, Frankie Valli, Emmylou Harris (what a phenomenal woman!), REO Speedwagon, Moody Blues, Neil Young).
|
Interests:
The Minnesota Wild, nature, current events, and I like to listen to music at home (see below).
|
Favorite Music:
Late-60's to early 80's rock, I like some heavy metal bands (AC/DC) and "Arena Oriented Rock" bands, Southern rock, Skynrd, Bob Seger, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Joe Cocker, Van Halen, Jimmy Buffett, Liz Phair, ZZ Top. But the Eagles RULE! They are the BEST!
|
Favorite TV Shows:
'Two and a Half Men' is the funniest show on TV. I also like 'Big Bang Theory', and 'Private Practice'.
|
Favorite Movies:
"Tombstone", "Slaughterhouse-Five"(not a hacker/slasher film), "The Game", "My Cousin Vinny", "Stripes", "Caddyshack", "Slap Shot", "Dirty Harry", "Bedazzled" (with Elizabeth Hurley; HAVE MERCY!!!), "A League of Their Own", "Mr. Mom", "Bullitt", "The Long Kiss Goodnight".
|
Favorite Books:
Any of Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.'s early work.
'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' by Dr. Hunter S. Thompson. A Las Vegas road trip, a Vincent Black Shadow, and Gonzo journalism at it's finest.
"The Threat" by Andrew Cockburn. An older book taking a critical look at the farce of Cold-War defense spending and how the American people were screwed out of millions of dollars supporting it. Again.

"Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one's definition of your life; define yourself." -- Harvey Fierstein
"We don't beat the reaper by living longer, we beat the reaper by living well and living fully" -- Randy Pausch, "The Final Lecture"
"Why don't we at least look? We can always step away from it if it's crap." -- Dr. Paul Goering, Allina Medical's executive director for mental health on the use of non-prescription alternatives.
"Don't let the bastards grind you down" -- Latin phrase

About Me:
I'm married, but the wife has no interest in bikers or riding. I have had numerous lady passengers who accompany me on rides, which makes the ride more enjoyable for both of us. "Kari" is my current passenger.
I love hot coffee, long warm hugs, and single malt Scotch on ice. I can have more fun sober than you can drunk, and I have a VERY funny sense of humor. I'm very choosy about my booze, my ladies, and my friends, but if you're one of them it's probably for life. I'm a sincere, genuine person who tries to find the 'good' in people right up front and as a result I get my feelings stepped on a lot. Working on changing that, though.
I'm an ordained minister of the Universal Life Church, and can legally perform all duties of the ministry in the states of Minnesota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin (at least), including marriages and baptisms. Got a problem with mainstream religions or bickering families? Look me up. I'm performing ceremonies at Sturgis, too.
