Introduction:
I was June Cleaver personified for 23 years...yes I've heard all the "Beaver" jokes. But my kids are great people, I learned alot and I contributed to the future of other kids............I consider that part of my life as a definite "uh huh"
I've been riding since 2007 and it has become my sanity. And yes, I can change my own oil. I own my bike, my car, my home and I have my own job. I have my own "stuff" - I don't need yours.
I LIKE: Riding as much as possible; a baby's belly laugh; All-U-Can eat Maine lobster with lemon; a well turned phrase; holding hands in public, the sun on my face and the wind messing up my hair; the rumble of a Harley; Spring; old houses; the voices of violins; my dreams; long hair and goatees; tall; the wonderful people my kids have become; decorating wedding cakes; ice cream with caramel swirls; going home; Max chasing his tail; making a stranger smile; bubble baths; new sheets; candles; hitting a home run; Christmas Spirit; kissing a stranger at midnight on New Year's Eve; reading a book I can't put down; dressing up; trying new things; seeing new places; The Village in NYC; scenery that makes you say "Wow"; nice people

Turn ons:
Laughing eyes, empathy, imagination, ability to laugh at one's self and the drama in everyday life, the ability to see that if you like the "person", everything else is a package waiting to be opened, that the grass isn't always greener.............. |
Turn offs:
If you talk and never listen, if you always think of you first (self preservation is honorable, but there is always someone hurting more than you), bigots, self-centered, stodgy, thinking because people know who you are - that that makes you somehow better |
Ideal:
All I want is your down-to-earth, no games guy with a sense of humor, a sense of decency and a sense of adventure | |
|

People watching, finding something good in every situation, cake decorating, cooking, motorcycles, making someone's face light up just by noticing they are there. Ren Faires - I so want to go to one in costume

Favorite Quotes:
"You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot lift the wage earner up by pulling the wage payer down. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred. You cannot build character and courage by taking away people's initiative and independence. You cannot help people permanently by doing for them, what they could and should do for themselves."
Abraham Lincoln

About Me:
I've been unemployed at 51 - we didn't expect this when we were younger - heck i thought - 50? I'll be all set - on the front porch rocking and knitting. heh heh heh. the great part? At 47 I learned to ride a motorcycle. At 51 it is my serenity. No matter what mood I am in when I throw my leg over that seat...it improves tenfold. It is truly a time machine...........
