Introduction: 8-11-08: I just got a letter from my son Dalton. He is doing great in Army Boot Camp... can see a huge change in him just in his letters. Left a boy, coming home a man. He put a quote in his letter I thought all of you need to hear... He has probably heard it up there in Boot Camp, maybe not... He was trying (is doing) to help good ol' Dad handle some of life's adversity. It goes like this... "THE GLASS IS NEVER HALF FULL OR HALF EMPTY, THERE IS ALWAYS AIR WHERE THERE IS NO LIQUID SO IT IS ALWAYS FULL!"
WOW! This will really touch your heart! Click on the link below to see a very moving tribute song and slide presentation to our troops. There are two versions: One for our WWII and Korean War Vets and one for our Vietnam Vets. Read the story behind it all while you are there too.
The following video is a Memorial Tribute to Navy Seal Mike Monsoor. WATCH IT. PAY ATTENTION TO THE COMMENTARY.
Watch this and if you have the BALLS to do what our fighting men and women are doing everyday, go see a recruiter!

June 18th is the first anniversary of the tragic Sofa Super Store Fire in Charleston, SC. 9 men sacrificed their lives that day for their community and left families behind. The following two video's combined are the story of just one of those men. They ALL had a story behind their lives...

"LIFE IS NOT A JOURNEY TO THE GRAVE WITH THE INTENTION OF ARRIVING SAFELY IN A PRETTY AND WELL PRESERVED BODY, BUT RATHER TO SKID IN SIDE-WAYS, THOROUGHLY USED UP, TOTALLY WORN OUT, AND LOUDLY PROCLAIMING: WOW....WHAT A FUCKING RIDE !!!"
About Me: UPDATE: On October 9th, 2007 Jarrad Tracy, a good friend and fellow firefighter was diagnosed with cancer. We held a Chicken Dinner and a Poker Run for Jarrad and received wonderful support from the community, from firefighters and from bikers. Jarrad has received an answered prayer... yesterday (4/28/08) I received an email from Jarrad saying his doctors have declared him cancer free!!! He thanked many of us for our support of him and his family and I want to extend that thank you to all of you who contributed in whatever way you could! Jarrad should be back riding fire trucks and serving his community with passion in just a couple weeks. Thank you all... Thank you GOD!
Originally from PA so I am a damned yankee... Bullheaded, stubborn, good lover and will fight if the reason is right. I don't smoke, well, I'll have the occasional cigar. I drink socially, I like ice cold beer and I like Wild Turkey. I love good looking women, ones with confidence, especially on bikes. But I like women who have respect for themselves too. You wanna shag your titties at a rally, that's cool. But there are limits to what you should be showing... Men too! I did 10.5 years in the USAF, 84-94. Should have stayed in but my boy was 2 and I had a remote tour coming so I got out. Now he is 17, a Major in the USAF JROTC and has enlisted in the Army, North Carolina National Guard. He will be a Structural Engineer on the Blackhawk Helicopter. He left for Boot Camp at Fort Knox on 6-20-08. I have an 12 year old Daughter who is my ROCK. She holds me steady. She knows when Daddy hurts and she is always there. She held my hand every day for a month after 9/11. And she knows every time a firefighter is killed in the line of duty that I feel like I lost a brother. She is always there. She is a gymnast (level 4 competitor) and is always on the podium at the end of an event. I like ice hockey... I still play it at 46. It is almost as stress relieving as riding and you still don't have to worry about being charged with assualt for fighting. I am a career firefighter / instructor. It's in the family... nearly 130 years of it between my grandfather, my uncle, my dad, my late brother and myself. I love my job, I get to make a difference everday!
