This was my first BON event, I couldn't have made a better choice. Bob ,Nancy, and every one else who had a hand in this TY, TY, great time and great friends. Can't wait for next year.
Moe and Jane from HotShots Photography dropped me off a DVD with 200+ photos on it the other day.
I think he (they) got everybody pictured at least a few times!
They're GREAT pics!
I uploaded them into an album which is viewable on my profile page.
Have a look --- comment --- and lift those that you want into your own album! Thanks a lot Moe and Jane!
We all certainly appreciate a job well done!
I also want to give a "shout out" and major THANKYOU to whoever was the person(s) behind getting the group '22' pizzas late that Saturday night. BIGTIMEcoolidea for the munchies we all were suffering thru --- (<:) --- and a much appreciated kind gesture!
Finally ...
Thanks to Tom and Claire for passing out thecards.
Now that you know what that's about --- next year we'll ante up the difficulty level a bit by playing an innocent little game called NUT 'n SCREW.
Awwwww you peeps are just too kind!! Thank you all, and we couldn't have done it without you all showing up!! We DID have fun though! Can't wait til next year!! :) Hugs everyone!!
If you attended the BON Party USA in Lincoln please attach your 5 (MAX!) FAVORITE pictures as event images. (Thanks)
BikerOrNot.com is going to go thru each of the parties across the country and pull a few pics from each of the event images area --- and create a video.
PLEASE limit your postings to your '5' favorite pics.
Limiting everyone to '5' allows all of us to post our favorites.
PLEASE NOTE - I have zero, nothing, nada to do with what pictures will be chosen.
Thanks!
We had a coupla small issues ...mostly MY bike being a shit as usual!! Thank god for good friends!!! CHRISTINE I OWE YOU HUGE!!! ROBIN ROCKS!! Dave(..gotta keep that one private!!)HA-HA!... KAT Sorry you bailed so soon you missed alot.
Thanks to all who worked so hard to make it happen!!... TO the admins that picked the date: only suggestion is ...next year different time frame when the weather is better up here(June is so rainy)... and not a month stuffed with so much stuff!! ei: Laconia, Americade, etc. Maybe late JULY or AUGUST!!
It was GREAT to meet y'all and to put personalities to the pictures in my freinds list!!
Bob, Nancy, Gary, Dennis, Don et all that put together the weekend, the rides, and the music....Gotta tell ya - I had an absolute blast. Everyone was wicked cool, thanks to all for a great weekend, and it was a pleasure to meet and hang with all!!!!
Unspeakable acts were repeatedly performed during all phases of the BON Party Lincoln, NH - - sorry I missed some, will try harder to be at each and every one of them next year.
Thank you so much for a great weekend. A special thanks to Gary for putting together the Poker Run. I know there was a lot of hard work and effort in the planning and organizing. Was a great run with great peeps.
Funny how one of the most miserable rides I've ever been on Sat. morning (thanks to mother nature) led to one of the best rides I've ever had in my life. Excellent company, great weather, incredible scenery = perfect! :)
GREAT TIME - happy to be a part of such a good time by all. Kudos to the organizers and all the effort that was put into this weekend. Looking forward to next year already! Any idea of the final bike count? How bout next year all the bikes get together for a group shot if possible?
Met alot of terrific people - special shout out to "The Kids"!
I second Bob!!!... We, the 15 On bikes heading South on Sunday, will never forget the ride home! Thank you to our convoy leaders and followers and all who braved the storm! And Bob...Thank you and your staff, for putting together one hell of a party...#1 hopefully many more to follow!!!!
7 of HEARTS here (unmatched!) (<:) 1000 THANK YOU's to Nancy, Gary, Mark and Drew ... and everyone who made it to Lincoln for a weekend of partying.
Friday night was outstanding! MY Saturday ride was 150 miles best described as a 5Hour continuous Smile!
Saturday night was A+ A+ A+ A+ and A+
The spread was good! ... Don rocked! ... the BONBON-FIRE was simply OUTSTANDING! ... Drew and Big Daddy Doc came thru in 'the crunch' and got us wired up to broadcastlive (which was cool and a lot of fun) ... but most importantly! ---> There was absolutely zero -0- drama!
It was all good!
Topped off by Sunday!!
100+ miles in a constant steady HARD rain --- with LOTS of --- torrential downpours to make it 'interesting!
Now that we're all home again safe (lol) - That was an EXCELLENT ride 'south' that you had to be a part of to appreciate!
THANKS to the "convey protection" - (Bit / Flash / Zee and 2 or 3 other cars) - We '15' (?) on bikes will always remember today! (<:).
There's more but at the moment I'm just tootired to write much else.
One more note about the Poker Run, Gary and I went by each stop at the end of the day, they all commented on what great people you all were! They enjoyed meeting everyone of you and had a great day! You all rock!
It was great to meet so many new friends, hope to ride with you all soon!
Good times, peeps. I enjoyed myself. Great meeting so many people from my friend list. Good rides. Good fun. Plenty of partying and not a single confrontational incident. Great group of people. Attitudes were checked at the door for sure! If I met you, friend me! BTW, I had the Queen of Hearts.
MAKE A WISH FOUNDATION received the most votes for the from today's Breakfast proceeds. A check will be forwarded by either the Beacon, or Bob once the total is finalized. Thank you all.
Once again, thank you all who participated in the Poker Run and raffles to benefit New England Disables Sports Wounded Warrior Project, it is greatly appreciated!
Great to meet so many great folks! Ride Safe!
This was my first BON event, I never imagined I would meet so many people that were more like my family than a bunch of strangers I only talked with online. I'm so grateful for the experience and can't wait to do it again. Are you all free next weekend lol
oh and I had the 7 clubs, couldn't find my man, and began to think, I knew it.. HE JUST DOESN'T EXIST!! lol But then I found him and got my T-SHIRT...lol It was FUN trying to find him though!! lol
Sitting here reflecting on my time on BON and all the great peeps I've met so far.
It was great to finally many of you that I've talked to on here. I've never met such a really great group of people in my life....If people who stereotype bikers could only see what good hearts out there. From the HONEST, hard working, fun, crazy nuts to the guys who gave rides on their bikes to some of the kids from the Christian group that was there. If you could see their faces and the smiles from ear to ear!! How NICE was THAT!! NEED I SAY MORE...I DON'T THINK SO! :)
Actually Pammy we were supposed to do that but had a little mis-communication. So we did it at the end...AND see ZEE now you KNOW it was meant to be!! IT WAS "IN THE CARDS" LMAO...Thanks again every body...NOT BAD FOR THE FIRST TIME EH!!
BIG HUGE CONGRATS TO MAGIC MAN FOR A GREAT SUCCESS!! AND A BIG THANK YOU AND HUGS BOB FROM ME!!!
A great time! Good to see my old friends, meet some new peeps too and an awesome ride Saturday! Bless all of you that had to ride home in the storm today...I'm glad everyone made it home safe...Many thanks to Bob and Nancy, Gary, Mark and everyone else who worked so hard to put this party together! I had the 10 of spades, who had that? LOL!
Majic Man said we needed 105 players for the cards..yes BOB..I remember that! ;)But..he never said how it was going to be played out...what do you guys think?
What a great time!!! Great ride on Saturday and a crazy ride home today in the rain. I actually loved the ride home. It made the ride a challenge and was great test of my new rain gear. Thanks to all who made this weekend and absolute blast!!
It was great to see the turn out that made it to the party, considering the weather treat for this past week end. See you all die hard,s soon, Maybe at the Harley Rendezvous June 25-27, Let me know if your going, lets ride.
Looked to me that the sistas and bruthas who did make the trek, had the best of times... good friends, good times. I'm glad we were all a part of the FIRST together. so happy everyone made it home safely. wheres the pic of the badass mumma riding a little pink trike?

A couple of us are going up Sat morning. Is anyone else? would like to meet up with group and ride up together. Please let me know. Also anyone know if we can preorder the event T-shirt?
For those that are interested in meeting up in Concord: (some of us had made already made plans before the above suggestions were posted) we are meeting up at the Red Apple Chinese Buffet @ 11:00. Grabbing a bite to eat then KSU @ 11:30. The Red Apple is located on Loudon Rd-Exit 14 off 93
I'm thinkin' ...
Leave Nashua (Dennys) mid afternoon ...
Roll into the Hooksett Liquor Store - (north bound I 93) - and see who's there.
Probably stop for a coffee at the Dunkin' Donuts in Tilton. (just off 93) ... (sounds about right to me) (lol)
Check out that BK in Ashland - off 93 - and see if anybody stopped there.
Roll on north from there into Lincoln. It'd be cool to see some people along the way --- and ride into town together.
From the looks of the 10day forecast for Lincoln, NH. It looks like I'll be taking the jeep instead of the bike. Somebody do the rain dance in reverse.
Leaving the Hooksett Area around 6pm on Friday to head up, (riding) whoever is going to be in that area at or around 6pm please hit me up (thinking the liquor store on 93N) staging area for an evening ride up...Please let me know...thanks! Julz
for those of you meeting at Dunkin Donuts....on Friday, Dunks is giving away free donuts with purchase of a coffee or tea, both hot and iced! I think they heard about the party and wanted to make the ride up enjoyable with free donuts!
If anyone needs a place to stay last minute http://franconianotch.com/index.html has rooms $60 a night and cabins $70 a night. right across from the beacon

Anyone want to meet at the Leominster D/D around 4:30-5pm on friday to ride up. I have to work that day so can't leave until then. I realllllly don't want to ride alone especially on the highway.
We would like to meet at either the hooksett or tilton staging area but would like to know what the times are going to be for each of them for we are getting out of work at noon.
I'll be leaving out of Denny's in Nashua ... Just not sure yet what time.
Will stop at the Liquor Store on '93' ... the Tilton Diner ' Dunkin' Donuts - and the Ashland BK to see if anyone's there.
is there anyway to put up times of meeting at the staging areas. I'd like to meet up at the leominster one but can't make it til around 4:30 (after work).
PLEASE NOTE ... Meet Up / Staging Areas have now been listed. (near the top of this page)
Please post in comment area if you'd like to 'Meet Up' with others and/or ride up with others.
Thanks Gary! ... if you RSVP'd the Beacon, ThankYou ... it makes everything we're planning to do - a lot easier.

SaturdayBreakfast - SaturdayBar-B-Que and SundayBreakfast The Beacon is only ordering enough food to feed those of us that RSVP.
If you haven't yet --- Please call them now and RSVP ---> 800-258-8934 - or - 603-745-8118
Everyone, Please spread the word about the RSVP for the events. I found a lot of people at the diabetes ride yesterday had no idea they needed to RSVP. Please spread the word.
Carol, if there is no staging area near you, I live in Jaffrey near Winchendon, as does Mary Quite Contrary. You're welcome to ride up with me, but I will be leaving here about 9:30 am
Carol
A Staging (Meet Up) Area type E-Mail will be sent out this week - and - it will be posted on this page as well.
I'm sure there will be a StagingArea fairly close to you in Mass.
I called two weeks ago to RSVP for the Saturday buffet and Sunday breakfast - only got an answering machine. No one from Beacon called to confirm my info.
Is there anyone out there leaving Friday evening from the western part of mass along rt 2. I really don't want to make that long trek on the bike by myself. I don't do highways well.
It's looking more and more every day my roommate isn't going to be able to attend. If anyone is looking to share a room e-mail me. Not totally 100% sure yet but !
is this my fathers house? Life Saver Ministries is a local independent, non-profit Christian Ministry that offers an alternative to abortion by providing housing, counseling and other support services, enabling young women and teens in a crisis pregnancy to become self-sufficient responsible adults, through the loving example of caring Christians and the life changing power of Jesus Christ
BONPartyUSA is 'VERY' pleased to announce that the combined estimated total of all '57' parties nationwide, surpassed 20,000 attendees tonight.
THANK YOU Nancy - and the 'TEAM' and all the the 'Good Folks' heading to The 'White Mountains' June 4th 5th and 6th! Lincoln New Hampshire is gonna ROCK THE HOUSE!!
Cottage confirmed with the Beacon...RSVP'd for all 3 events for 4 people. Will be heading out about 1:00 Friday if you want to meet and ride up. Hoping for beautiful weather!! If not:( will haul the bike....
Also still plenty of time to pass out flyers..Just copy the above flyer and pass them out to EVERYBODY and ANYBODY you can!!! Thanks to all those helping to do so!! It is truly appreciated!! Hugs!!
Hi Everyone, again here is the list for the charities for the Sun breakfast donation. Please keep one in mind as I will be sending an e-mail for your vote in the next few days! Please watch for it!! Thanks!
Me and my wife still have a full bed in our room if anyone is still in need of a bed for the weekend. If so please let us know if you are interested in sharing the room and its cost or we may not be able to go.
confirmed reservationas as of last night! cant wait!!!! . wont be there till sat after work but am looking forward to a great and very needed weekend of Bon partying!!!
Mike ... Thanks for calling in and RSVP'ing
I just got off the phone - (yet again) - with the Beacon.
Mike - Will you please post as to whether or not they do - in fact - call you back asking for names.
Fromhereonout, if anyone speaks with anyone at the Beacon --- and the person at the Beacon does not ask for names --- PLEASE (GENTLY) INSIST that they take your name(s) - and log them in never-the-less!
... SIMPLYBECAUSE the owner of the Beacon and the EventManager of the Beacon set it up that way with us!
Thank You.
I just called and gave them my name and asked if they wanted the rest of the names in my group that will also be attending and she said no just needed or name and how many people.
Yes Zee, if you read above it's by per NAME, not by how many in a room. In other words each persons name should be on the list for tickets to whatever event they will be attending. :)
Do we have to tell them our names for the food, the person we are splitting the room with called and she just gave them the amount of people that are eating...
I have RSVP'D for meals at the Beacon. If you want to eat there, please make sure to put your name on the list. Thanks!! Don't forget a portion of the breakfasts are going to charity. Will be sending a vote out within the next few days to vote for charity of your choice from the list for the 2nd one.
Thanks for sending out the RSVP note Nance.
I'd like to eat while I'm there - so, I RSVP'd the Beacon ...
It might have taken me all of a whole minute!
sorry, don't see how I can attend this one when I am planning on attending the big Laconia one, Junw 12-20...NOT enough dough to spread it out THAT much! Thanks!
Me and my wife will be there and are bringing to other people with us and all 4 of us will be doing the breakfast on sat and sun and the bbq on sat night
i nearly forgot about this.......reading through it looks like so much fun!! course i don't have a bike...or anyone to ride with so my question is are cars OK?
Any one from Cape Cod or SE Mass going to this event? Looking to ride up with someone. I still need to get a room too. Just got the time off. Sounds like a whole lot of fun. Can't wait
I have had to remove myself from this event, they are having a fundraiser for my friend that just passed away (harleylicious) on June 5th. Maybe I will try and take a ride up after weather permitting...sorry all
Hey the coordinators team rocks! DJDon? Great! he always keeps the dance floor full and plays what people request. This whole weekend is about getting together, meeting new peeps, seeing old and having one hell of a time. I am so psyched......can't wait to see all of you there...........
I am not saying that you folks havent done an excellent job because we all know you have and so has the beacon. I am just saying I may not be interested anymore now.
The Schedule of events was tentative and based on certain circumstances and numbers. The Beacon has bent over backwards to accommodate us as much as possible to provide for all our events. We've made every effort to do what we could to have all events happen. We're still gonna ROCK THE HOUSE!!
I want to THANK all involved who put this together. Everyone's wishes cannot be met, but you have made every effort to do so. Just remember that no good deal goes unpunished, but some of us appreciate what you have done THANK YOU
Hi mS Nancy & BON PEEPS....I think DJ DON is a good choice instead of a live band for a few reasons. DJ DON has always gone above and beyond the call of being accommodating to our group with all OUR DANCES that we have had! Anything you would like played JUST ASK AND HE WILL PLAY IT....YOU JUST NAME IT !!! Great idea so that this way we can have the opportunity to have all types of music played and that will ensure EVERYONE HAS A GREAT TIME!!! THANK YOU TO FANCY NANCY, MAGIC BOB AND ALL THE PEEPS RESPONSIBLE FOR PUTTING THIS AWESOME EVENT TOGETHER....DJ DON WELCOME ABOARD AND "THANKS FOR ALWAYS ROCKIN OUR HOUSE" !!! :)
Getting psyched about Bon Party USA weekend!!! Only a few weeks left till WE ROCK THE HOUSE! DJ Don will keep the hits coming for a great time!! Let's pull together to make this a GREAT WEEKEND for ALL!!
our room is booked and we will be attending all events...thanks to all who have worked so hard to put this all together...anyone riding up from southeastern ma area hit me up..maybe we can ride together...we'll be happy to help out with anything you need...
Scooter and I are planning on being there Saturday through Sunday, but are staying elsewhere. Doubt we'll make it up for the Saturday AM breakfast, but for the rest of the events, count us in!
Maybe we could utilize the BoN NE Breakfast website for updates, comments, etc....its getting hard to get through this page. Again, thanks to the planners :)
Hey Party goers; I spend a lot of time in the Lincoln/Woodstock area, just a heads up, the police are VERY aggressive in controlling drinking and driving in the area. If you think you will be drinking, and are on the fence about staying at the Beacon, I strongly suggest you book a room. Most people in town don't drive if they have had more than one drink. And I suspect the police will be watching the bikers pretty closely.
On another note...if you are planning to come to the party, let the organizers know. The Beacon needs a head count!
And Lastly....thank you to the organizers who have been working hard on pulling this together. You guys rock!
We have our room booked and will be there and will be attending all of the events. Thanks to all who done an awesome job putting all of this together. I am sure it will be a great time
We have our room booked and will be attending all events except for Sunday breakfast. Nance and the rest of the team definitely rock. We must not forget all the hard work this team done to make this a one of a kind success!
Ms Fancy Nancy - as you know, me and some others will be staying at another location in Lincoln but will all be there! Thanks to all who are working on this event!
Yes Digga, it doesn't matter where you're staying. We just need a count of how many will be attending each event so they can plan accordingly for breakfast, bbq, etc.
I am SO there! Booked the best jacuzzi suite in the house, baby! Even has a little kitchen and stuff. Par-TAY! Looking forward to meeting a bunch of BON peeps!
UPDATE ... The discounted rate of $99 per night now includes a '1' night --- SaturdayOnly stay.
In order for the Beacon to go forth and develop their final plans - understandably - they need to have a fairly accurate headcount for the following activities. (1) - Friday Night Meet Greet and Party (2) - Saturday Morning Breakfast. (3) - Saturday afternoon Bar-B-Q (4) - Saturday Night Meet Greet and Party (yet again) (5) - Sunday Morning Breakfast.
All attendees will be receiving a note from Fancy Nancy asking which activities (specifically) you plan on attending.
PLEASE be kind enough to reply to her note so that everybody involved can plan accordingly.
Thank You.
I just booked a room at The Beacon Resort and was able to get it for our rate even tho I am a couple of days later than our deadline. If anyone would like to share our room with us please let me know. Thanks
Look how hard this team of coordinators is working! Come one everyone, let's work with them, volunteer to do something, book your rooms and let's get ready to PARTY!
So looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones!........The Coordinator's Team ROCKS!
This note is being sent out to all who have signed on to attend 'BON Party USA' in Lincoln New Hampshire.
THANKYOU.
Your enthusiasm and support of this 1stANNUAL is sincerely appreciated.
It has the potential to be a memorable and GREATWEEKEND! ...
The word POTENTIAL is used in-as-much-as there is a VERYREALPOTENTIAL that we could lose it all!
Below is a list of activities and events the BEACON has agreed to prepare for and play host to: (1) - Friday night Meet and Greet (2) - Friday Night Dance (with our choice of music and DJ) (3) - Saturday Morning Breakfast (proceeds to charity) (4) - Act as a 'Staging Area' for our Saturday rides. (5) - Saturday (early evening) Bar-B-Q with FREE BEER and WINE. (6) - Saturday Night BON (bon) Fire (7) - Saturday Night (simultaneously with the BON Fire) Rock & Roll Band - (our choice of bands) (8) - Sunday Morning Breakfast (proceeds to charity) (9) - Help us 'Stage' our 'Blessing Of The Bikes'
... AND ... they ... (10)discountedalltheirroomsforus. ... (Everybody seemed to agree that $25 per night - per person in a shared room - is quite reasonable)
The events and activities listed above are predicated on the BON group booking rooms and staying at the BEACON.
There are '225++' folks signed on to attend.
As of Friday morning (April 9th) exactly (and only) 17 rooms have been booked.
A Sincere 'Thank You' to those 17 people.
Over '200' folks notyet booking a room --- from an attendee list of more than 225 is discouraging to the folks at the BEACON.
This note is being passed along as ...
(A) - a reminder to book your room ...
and (B) to convey a crystalclearmessage if the 'BON GROUP' rooms are not booked. Very simply put ... if we don't booktheroomsby April 15th we run the risk of the BEACON releasing the rooms to the general public and releasing themselves from ANYandALL activity obligations they committed to our BON group.
NOBODY enjoys sending out reminder notices. ... (myself included) ... but this is real folks! ...
Please call 603-745-8118 - or - 800-258-8934 by the 15th and reserve a room.
All of us need to count on each other to "BookARoom" ... and ... make this happen ... so that, we have the entire place to ourselves, and - the activities that have been planned - actually take place. PLEASE do your part. ... Donot simply "leave it up to the other person"
Will distribute and pass out alot of flyers if someone will get them to me and my wife. We are also looking to share a room if anyone is looking to share their room or need to share with someone as long as they let us know before the 15th so we can book one.
Oh yes forgot. Hey everyone if you are going and have NOT reserved your room yet make sure you do NOW. The Beacon has guaranteed the all the activities if we have enough rooms booked. We certainly would not want to lose everything after all the hard work the committee has done to put this together.......PLEASE RESERVE YOUR ROOM NOW!
I can help with Friday's meet up, pass out flyers and what ever needs to be done. Still don't have a back seat for the ride, hopefully someone wouldn't mind giving me a ride. I am a good passenger..........have references. LOL
Willing to ride Block for the the Sat. Rides and also take care of some of some of the Live webcast as well. Flyer deployment in Manchester as well. Talking with GF about flyer design - graphic designer - let me know the details there...
If anyone is in need of a couple to share a room with to make life a little easier than let me and my wife know before the 15th so I can make reservations unless you already have them and just want someone to share the cost with. Me and my wife dont drink very much but do have a few. Thanks

ReliableSources (this evening) confirmed an early estimation!
The collective total of all the attendees *NATIONWIDE* to the BONPARTYUSA's has now surpassed 13,000.
THANKYOU 'Nancy' - 'Mark' - 'Al' - 'Gary' - 'Karen' and of course *THANK YOU* to the GREAT folks from Maine / Massachusetts / New Hampshire (and elsewhere) who have signed on to attend BONPARTYUSA in the 'Beautiful' *WHITE MOUNTAINS* of New Hampshire! ...
WE are definitely gonna *ROCK* THEHOUSE!
...
... if you believe - (and when you believe) - in the power of an idea - incredible things can (and do) happen!
I'll most likely be attending as that's my old stomping grounds and I would love to meet others in and around the area.
Here's the link to a kick-ass local White Mountain Blue grass band that very well may be interested in playing for the folks. Their called the Crunchy Western Boys and they're smoking players. Here's the link:

OK, folks, I know ya like bikes 'cause I've seen ya ridin them with after market stuff on 'em and u're not nakkid when ya ride 'em (the bikes, I mean). SO, where's your fav place to place to get bike stuff and biker clothes? Come on, I know ya do it!
Got a friend with biker products or services, send 'em to me - bonpartymamenh@gmail.com for BON Party USA-MA/ME/NH FREE booth info! Looking for vendors of: motorcycles, leathers, patch sewing, graphics for bike & helmet, tattoo artist . . .

A suggestion to others for a band to play at this event=How about Charlie Dee and the Boogie Men? He has played @ biker events in the past. Bluesy, Rock and Good Dancing Music plus he is an Excellent Showman!!! Please give comments if you have seen him or would like to see him-thanks!!
Hey guys! ... Just finished up doing our 1st PRACTICE simulcast! ... '3' locations. (Texas / Florida and New England) ... We have the 'easy to learn' technology to put every party streaming at the same time! ... This is gonna be fun!! (watch for updates!) ...
I've also made a suggestion to Bob to post anyone that may have an open back seat for the rides let one of us know and we will make a list of some sort so those like "MOI" may be able to enjoy a ride on Sat. Thanks ahead of time you GUYS!!!! :) :) :)
I guess we'd better keep our ta-ta's tucked in then huh? Nice idea Claire. I vote yes on newspaper or radio coverage, and let's wait and see how the first year goes before bringing in televised coverage. That might be asking too much of us to behave that long...lol
I know Fancy Nancy is putting an add in a Biker Newletter about this event and I think that is terrific. Magic Man asked me to see what every one thinks about seeing if we can get some local TV and/or radio stations to give us a little publicity. Let the coordinators know your thoughts. If anyone has any contacts that would be great.
For those who never heard of BON will definitely know us or of us after this event. Maybe we should contact local radio and TV to let them know.......hey we could be on TV. ... Hope someone has a seat for me that weekend.
Just a reminder, if the Beacon sells out, the Indian Head resort is right up the road and has also offered discount rates. (they also have an outdoor heated pool) sweeeeeet! Please mention the "BON" party to get the special rate.
I hope Ray/Winterbiker will have a booth set up so i can pre pay for next years Daytona bike week and maybe i can still get in on this years Biketober fest also in Daytona i will bring cash.OHHH im so excited i can hardly contain my emotions.....
Digga, check with nhrider..he his handling the vendors..but as far as I know there is no charge for a spot, they just neet to bring their own set up, tables etc, and will be inside along the outside of the banquet room. Mark will have more information regarding that so shoot him an email..
Hi all!! Thank you for all the wonderful charity suggestions...keep them coming!! We have some GREAT causes and ALL suggestions will be listed and you all will be able to vote on the charity of your choice...we will announce it later toward the end!! GET READY TO ROCK THE HOUSE IN LINCOLN!!!!!!!!!!!
New England Disabled Sports is my choice for a charity too, I've been a volunteer ski instructor there for 11 years. We are based at Loon Mountain and the Lincoln area is our playground. There are over 200 volunteers and only 3 paid staff. We provide adaptive sports for children and adults with disabilities. We are a Wounded Warrior Partner and every year we bring a group of soldiers to the White Mountains to ski in the winter and hike, bike, biathalon, and kayak in the summer. We are also a Paralympic Training Center. It is a great program made up of an amazing group of people and every dollar donated to the program goes directly to those with disabilities. Just my two cents on a program I am very passionate about.
The New England Disabled Sports Program at Loon Mountain is my choice for the charity. This is a great program that is affiliated with the Wounded Warriors program. It is run solely on donations. They take the warriors out skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer. They also work with the disabled from all of the New England States Skiing, Hiking, biking and other summer sports. My Fiance Claudster Is a Volunteer for the last 15 years and I help out when I can. Thanks
Since the first Charity is already for children..I'm looking into something for OUR TROOPS who serve us so well...Bear Home for our Troops is great as well as WOUNDED WARRIORS is another for those disabled and
losing limbs etc...But all suggestions will be considered...thanks all!!
Draft itinerary is looking goooooood! You planners rawk out loud! I'd like to get a USA BoN party shirt... are there any tank tops or feminine tops offered?
We will be posting hotels and campgrounds in the Woodstock/Lincoln area in the near future. The organizers are calling ahead to negotiate special rates for this event. Stay tuned....
This is a good thing..4,5,and 6th...awesome I am going with where we all will be the happiest, which is ,"lincoln"..I believe I'll have an open back seat in exchange for team work.....yeeeeehaaaaa
Majority rules ...
I believe Bob indicated they will announce the majority vote on the location at the BON breakfast this Sunday March 7th. Then we s/start to see the ball rolling to make it happen :-)
I think (and its only an opinion) that someone on that long line of team members needs to take the bull or event by the balls and make a decision... Just a thought.. Hey remember the old sayings.. 1) Can't please all the people all the time 2) Build it and they will come... Hugz.. Play nice today in the snow.. and lets get this party started before it's over...
B-Lincoln (we will all be in The Weirs for bike week) the following two weekends, Lincoln/Woodstock area is beautiful and offer a very wide range of accomodations from Camping to lodging.
Pam, a few hundred peeps are projected for this event so one lodging for all is no possible. That being said & all things relatively equal Weirs and Lincoln offer an equal range of accommodations - motels & camping. So vote for your fav!
I vote for which ever has the most places to ride. I mean it's only 1200 miles to get there, so I'll be wanting to see countryside. And a place to tent with showers (still poor).
Peeps need info Mark to make an informed decision. Things to consider... type of accomodations available, are we lodging as a group, and if so, where? Are the costs doable for everyone?
oh I change my vote... Lincoln. but you guys might want to get going on plans, huh? sounds like other states might be a little ahead of us on plans? if you got stuff going on already, tell tell! inquiring minds wanna know. we are the region of origin after all. can't be shown up.
I would prefer Lincoln.why? I believe Weirs Beach is too small for the combination of BON and beach goers. Lincoln has alot more area to expand into.
My vote Lincoln
lol Zan... I'm still waiting on answers too! If arrangements haven't been checked into, want to know so I can reserve my fave get-a-way spot in Lincoln.
I love the Lincoln idea and there are lots of campgrounds/hotels....twisty mountain roads...the Kancamangus....Rt 118....oh I am getting excited!!! lol
I like the Lincoln area myself. I've been known to stay there for bike week so as not to be too close to the Weirs. It makes it necessary for me to ride more, GO FIGURE!! Anyway I vote for Lincoln for this pahty!!
PEACE
... the rolling party idea was NOT well received ... so, we're going to do a LET'SGATHERALLINONEPLACE (for the weekend) gig.
Each place --- The 'Weirs' --- and --- 'Lincoln' --- has it's own set of pro's and cons.
Majority rules ...
We'll announce which place is preferred at the BON breakfast this upcoming Sunday March 7th.
ALL are *WELCOME* --- for ALL of the weekend --- or any PART of the weekend they choose to participate in. (other plans - (Bentley's as an example) family / work commitments etc)
I agree with Triumphtuner.......if we have to fight traffic and crowds will be difficult to plan any events other than riding. Bentleys can park lots of bikes and I love Bentleys, but not sure the campground can handle all the campers and host any activities we would like to have. I believe the committe said we were going to have some fun events, activities, runs etc. If we get the crowd we expect we need a place that can host campers, bikes and have hotels close by for the non campers. I also think we really need a head count on how many would be staying in hotels and how many would be camping. That could make a difference where we go. Just a suggestion........lol
I'm with Pammy on this.. My group that is staying at Bentley's would love to meet up with you to ride, but we need some info... again.. Bentley' does have some availability left and as for waiting to get in or standing in line.. anyone camping at Bentley's always can get inside by going through the gift shop doors there never is a line for campers to get in that I have seen.. and they do have two bars.. the one in the back and the one in the front of the house.. I saw over 1,000 bikes on labor day and I didn't wait in any line to get in or for a drink.. just throwing it out there... food for thought as they say....
wherever, somewhere, anywhere! Only 3 months to find a place that can hold a crowd this size? Lot's of good suggestions from peeps, and this event is a great concept; but thus far very little input from the MA/NH/ME planning committee on what's going on to make this happen. Inquiring minds wanna know!
I am game no matter where we go, I just may have to skip my weekend stay for bike week and hang with BoN instead :) Geez looks like I'll need to buy a traveling bag to strap on my bike lol.
We are RoCkIn DoWn ThE HwY,BON Party USA...Lets get the party started...(95) days and counting...Excellent Nance..L&R Tx Diva Texas Rocks BON world coordintor..
Oh and another thought. Have some separate "stay in 1 place" and have them spaced out. Then rides from 1 location to the next with BBQ's and activities at those.
I vote for stay in 1 place. Then all we have to do is plan rides from that location, have back up activities for the inevitable rain. Or even have activities for those that want to just hang out for the day.
I would have to vote for a rolling party,it may be easier
for some people due to where they may live. They could attend all or some of the days.Possibly day three could be at a central location.
GOOD MORNING TO MY BON FRIENDS ALL ACROSS THE STATES!!!!
Its a gorgeous cold day in Raleigh NC....but that's not going to stop us from ROCKIN DOWN the HIGHWAY TO the BiG WeeKeNd!!! Have a wonderful day...!!!
Waterville valley has many camping areas and a large group camping area. There are hotels close that may give us a deal...and bars as well in Plymouth Campton and Franconia.....Just a thought
My on thought would be that where ever is picked, be it a stationary or rolling party, there needs to be both ample area for camping as well as ample hotel/motel rooms available for those that don't camp.
Vermont is 'VERY WELCOME' ... but just as an FYI ... there is 'TALK' about putting a "BON Party USA" together in 'LAKE GEORGE' (definitely a Biker Friendly' town) ...
Deb makes a good point. as word gets out about this 'thing' there's a real good chance we will be in need of a place with several (many?) bars ...
Bentley's is usually the "go to" place most of the summer. I for one would like to keep it a special destination that I go to with my peeps. And, depending on how big this gets, the bar itself may not be able to accomodate all of us. One of the time I went last year I had to wait in line to get in.
Bentley's would probably be able to accommodate both the campers and those who want a hotel. They have the bus that also goes to other hotels...It also seems to be one of the premier places everyone enjoys going to and nice rides...Just a suggestion...I haven't caught up on all the threads yet, so someone else has most likely already suggested that...
I like the idea of having it in the Laconia area.It wouldn't be the same as bike week anyway.Thee are so many different rides that could be done and alot less hassle (cops) than bike week.
Spending a weekend in the Lakes with BON folks would be exactlythat - spending a weekend in the Lakes Region with BON folks ---> and not with 100,000 other bikers I believe it would be a completely unique and different type of experience for most. We would (pretty much) have the area to ourselves.
I also agree and am aware that 2 weeks later is 'BIKE WEEK' ... but againI suggest that it would be a completely different experience than sharing the area with 100,000 other bikes.
PLEASE SHARE - What are 'just a few' of the many other areas that you're thinking of that are conducive to having folks travel to after work on Friday and/or Saturday morning? ... 'Thanks'
I live up here and think we should do something away from Laconia. Some will not come up twice in two weeks. In addition, Laconia will be starting to gear up with vendors setting up... We have many places to choose from between three states and we should do something out of the ordinary and extraordinary...
Hey Bob, Laconia sounds like a great spot, I'm just not sure I would want to go, bike week is less then 7 days later running June 12th - 20th, and if anyone is planning on going back up the following weekend it just might be a little too much "Laconia" for some... just a thought...But def. 1 location to be positioned out of is a great idea it has my vote as well as many others I'm sure.. Hugz.. Kim
... while at the 'BON DANCE' last night, a number of people mentioned that if we stay in '1' place --- an ideal place to 'set up' for the weekend would be Laconia (near the Weirs)
It has a lot to offer in respects to what we're looking for.
(A) - Plenty of reasonably priced lodging and/or campgrounds.
(B) - NIGHTLIFE! ... Plenty of bars and pubs in the area.
(C) - It'd be like having the entire Laconia and Lakes region area to ourselves (so to speak) without 150,000 other bikes clogging the same roads.
(D) - we could plan and lay out 4 or 5 different 'day trips' - each leaving FROM the area on Saturday - all of which - could/would be excellent roads / rides and destinations. MOST IMPORTANTLY - it's fairly centrally located for most of those who would consider attending from maine - mass or New hampshire.
Just tell me where my cake is and I will be there...lol. Would be nice to know by mid-March so we can get our reservations in.....happy to help in any way if needed too!
Staying anywhere in NH in early June..yikes! Cold and rainy for sure. Staying in one place is best(PLAN B). Southern Mass. or Northern CT is the best bet for early June.
Wakeda Campground in Hampton Falls, NH? They have tent sites and cabins. From the map it looks like they might even be able to set aside a whole area for us with both tent sites and cabins. Pretty much central to everyone, too.
Laconia is a central location and lots of peeps already know how to get there. Plus you won't have the bike week crowd so we'll be able to do a lot from there.
Went to a NH/VT HOG Rally and stayed in Conway...forget the campground name but can look it up on credit card receipts. It was fairly reasonable...but GD COLD at night especially when it rained. Thank God for the Green Machine/electricity/and an RV site for that. Used the propane cook top to warm up the inside when it got cold. Kids were walking by in the rain watching me watch TV and their poor Dad had been trying to set up a tent the night before in the dark. Then it started raining !! Tenters were jealous of the smell of bacon in the morning rain coming from my rig...they had granola bars and coffee from the camp store...LOL.
One central location sounds the most logical...as Deb said, I sure don't want to keep breaking down camp, I just want to ride and have fun with friends. I would imagine we could find a central location and maybe do some circular rides touching all the states each day? I can deal with Tent camping, as long as I have a good mattress, he he...a place that has both types of facilities would work for those you can't though...
I have a campground in Lebanon Me, just outside of Rochester Nh. They have a large field that is available that weekend. The field have 30 campsite and can fit alot without electric or water. Which we can jsut tap off the 30 sites for others that need electric.
This place is kinda centrally located, a ride up rt 11 to winni or a ride to the maine coast. They have indoor and outdor pool.
What's everyones thoughts?
Bob, has anyone on the committee started researching large facilities that offer a group rate? Again, I offer my services but don't want to step on any toes. If you want my help, I'd be happy to at least put up some options at various locations, prices AND AVAILABILITY for Conway, Lakes Region or any other location. As much as I love Bentley's many peeps already frequent the place and it sounds like peeps want something new.
hmmm not sure it is what was listed for bike week camping.. the drive in number is 603-366-5777 603-366-4723..
wonder if someone leases it for bike week..
I hear ya there Bob... most do prefer rooms, but the cost isn't doable for many peeps in this economy, esp. with so many BoN events scheduled (and it's only Feb 1st). It's going to require creative budgeting for most peeps as it is. Finding a campground that offers cabins/motel might be the best fit, and makes it possible for everyone to stay at the same facility.
I wonder how the drive in would be, it is big enough and not your typical campground so you don't have seasonal's and regular campers to contend with. it is in the heart of great riding and will not turn into a mud puddle if it rains, there are plenty of hotels around and it is kinda private... hmmmm it does sound kinda cool, and like a place we could "take over" for the weekend....not sure what the committee has but I found the # to the place if they would like it. 210-258-4463....
North Conway is a good idea...I have lived up here all of my life and know most of the back roads, many great establishments and people. Although we have to keep in mind that NH in June can be very cold and wet...
Well it is the weekend before Laconia, so most of the campgrounds and places in that area will be set up and ready for the biker crowd. Tamworth Camping Area is between the lakes & mountains and it is biker friendly too, but you also have Weirs Beach Drive-In Camping , and there will be nothing there that weekend, and it can hold a LOT of people, and it is cheap and it has tents and RV sites. shower and laundry facilities.
Stay in 1 place, but RIDE A LOT when we are up there. ?(?????)? •*¨*•.¸¸¸¸.•*¨*•?? thank you everyone that is organizing this! btw Xtreme Riders leukemia run is Sunday 6/6 ...I may leave early...
Just a thought, but the ski slopes are closed, what do they do during the summer? could we actually get a ski lodge to host the party, there is always rooms and hotels around them and they are big enough to hold a lot of people, and if we could set up tents on the grounds we would then have covered both the campers, and the people who need hotels.. just kinda thinking out loud..
Bob, love your idea for reserving one campground in the Conways. However, lets keep in mind too that there are those who dislike tent camping or have disabilities that are not conducive to sleeping on the ground. A campground that has cabins or motel on site might be ideal.
The Sugar Shack is nice and prolly the least costly, but very rough camping... porta potties, no showers, no running water. W/have to go to the state park down the road to use showers which takes quarters and means standing in line.
One place would be better. Hey has anyone checked Sugar Shack Campground in Thornton, NH? Rough camping but large enough to accomodate a few hundred. There are a few hotels about6 miles from the campground. Pammy knows the place, she has been there as I have.
'North Conway' - (or 'The Conway's) came up in a several conversations as a 'Destination Point' in-as-much-as it has much of what we may be looking for.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL roads heading out in all directions --- making for several Saturday ride options.
Plenty of motels and hotels (in every price range) a TON of restaurants! (from the 'greasy' to the 'upscale') --- AND--- it has a NIGHT LIFE!! (lots of bars and pubs)
CAMPGROUNDS? - There's a BUNCH of them! We 'COULD' (actually) think about renting out an ENTIRE CAMPGROUND for the weekend --- or at least Saturday DAY - and - Saturday NIGHT! (it's a thought) With a little creativity we could have a GREAT TIME if we had a campground to ourselves.
SUNDAY MORNING... Find a place that would feed us all (very doable) and afterwards, we could all head 'home' on SCENICROADS or maybe make our way towards Bentley's or the 'Upper Deck' ...
... just a few thoughts that came up in conversations ...
I believe the 1 place is the most logical option. I for one do not want to be spending most of the weekend packing and repacking to go to the next location. I would rather hang and ride with my friends from "1" central location.
I think a "rolling party" would require many bodies working the logisitics to make it happen smoothly for all & that would definitely take away from their party. & I think a "Stay In One Place" party would allow for all of us to do what we came to do there & that's party. Easy-peasy, good clean fun 'till the mud wrestlin' begins! :)
'ALL' are certainly 'WELCOME ... however, a few from Connecticut have asked about having one there in CT. ... which would include INVITES being extended to RI and many from Western Mass
'ALL' also includes our friends from Vermont ... but (again) however there are folks thinking about having one of their own in 'Lake George' NY. which is DEFINITLY a 'Biker Friendly' town and a whole lot closer for many (most?) in Vermont.
Although this is a bikers forum and riding is what it's all about, I'm leaning towards the "one place" idea, we can always hop on the bikes and take a several hour cruise around the area.. go back and party without worrying about unpacking/packing for the next state...with many many bikes.
Red Jacket Inn could accomodate us. awesome mtn views, decent rooms and if they don't have a band, the Red Parka Pub a short ride to Glen does. That's a great place for food and music, although a bit small.
Anyone is welcome unless they choose to set up their own in their own area..Magic Man had a great idea for North Conway as it's in between, different than the norm, plus it's a great resort town with tons of shopping, for the ladies etc, restaurants from diners to upscale, great motels, camping and plenty of other things to do...also could map out different runs... just another idea..
Thanks for thinking of the vermont crowed Bear. Ill do what I can to get some of us there. As of now there are 2 of us me and rocket. If you want rockets band to play i'm sure he will. They rock
We must invite Vermont! Bentley's is good although we are going in July...but I never tire of Bentley's!!! There are also some big campgrounds in NH... Dolly Cop in Pinkham notch for one and hotels close that would probably work with us so early in the season....
We kinda like PANMANS idea for this year,so thats a "B" for us.As stated already, makes it easier to set up some biker games for a little rodeo of our own. Also, would probably be easier if we have a band coming in for entertainment.Speaking of which,I saw Kansas city was having "jackal",and "The Kentucky Headhunters" playing for free,I'm hoping as a new hampshire premo motorcycle band, that someone thinks about shooting "erosmith",and Steven Tyler an e-mail about what we're trying to do here, and at least ask if they'de do the same.
Excellent points all! I'd like to throw up another idea, since this is the forum to do so. Has anyone been to a NH/VT H.O.G. rally? This is what they do: They alternate states each year... we should do the same since this is called ME, MA & NH BoN Party. Secondly, they host them in large cities @ a major hotel with a ball room (i.e. Ramada or Loon Mountain). No one has to drive if they choose to drink. Parking lot is big enough to park 100's of bikes and still have room for bike games, bike wash, even a few vendors if you chose to. They also organized 2 or 3 different riding routes & provided maps. They had large pads of paper on an easel in the lobby where you sign up which ride ur going on. They also had a different bands for each night. (If you can get Nobby Reed you're in for a heck of a blues night!) Not a whole lot of time now to organize something this big, but since it's new this year, scale it down, hire DJ's and make it doable if peeps really like this idea. I would be happy to help out.
as much as I like the "rolling" idea, I do think for the first one, it should be centrally located so people can come and go, we have no idea how this is going to turn out, and moving 3-4 hundred people to 3 different states in 3 days would be more of a nightmare then moving a camera and streaming internet shot. and I have a feeling 3-4 hundred is going to be a low figure, just look at what we pull together for a dance, and this will be a national, history making BON event. and it will be like woodstock, they never expected that big of a crowd either.
HEY JUST TO TROW MY TWO CENTS IN I WOULD THINK A ONE PLACE FOR THE WEEKEND WOULD WORK OUT BEST. EXSPECIALY BEING THE FIRST YEAR OF THIS HAPPENING IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO CO-ORDINATE THE UP AND MOVEING EVRY DAY WITHOUT A GREAT DEAL OF CONFUSSION AND PLANNING. HOW ABOUT THE ONE PLACE THIS YEAR AND THEN GET TOGETHER WITH THOSE THAT DID IT THE OTHER WAY AND SEE WHAT PROBLEMS THEY HAD AND IDEA'S ON HOW THEY IRONED THEM OUT AND NEXT YEAR DO THE ROLLING WEEKEND THING...JUST MY OPINION.
i agree pammy! and i will certainly come out for it...my only issue was the one mike brought up, of multi reservations/plans for sleeping arrangements...it adds lotsa complexity when already trying ti keep an itinerary straight....checkin/out--setup/breakdown--packin/unpackin---for me personally it's just easier to live out of a duffel bag for a few days from one location...just my opinion...no big to me either way
logistically speaking, making multi reservations in multi locations, and setting and resetting webcast is what i would call logistical nightmares but it's not my party...since you asked for opinions my vote would be: 1 place/woodstock style weekend long party...if it's rolling, i will probably do like mike said and come for one spot/day and then tap out
Mike does bring up a good point about picking up and moving each day plus having to make reservations at different locations..be it campground or motel..also runs and rides can be organized starting from one location but going to different points each day...really something to think about!!
Bentley's added more tent sites last year and I think they are finishing more up this year? Maybe the Kennebunk Motel will cut a deal for BoN members if peeps commit early early enough.
Its your show.It doesn't really matter to me I'm just giving my opinion.I think thee would be a bigger turnout if it was in one place for the weekend and we had rides out of there.I see there already a few of the organizers game for the rolling party. The way my work is I'm probably only good for saturday night anyway.
If we have even only 50 --- or 100 --- or say 200 --- or maybe 300 motorcycles there will certainly be enough bikes to 'stagger' both days KSU and departure times!
EXAMPLE Saturday and Sunday morning ride(s) leave at 10:00 / 11:00 and Noon for Points 'B' and 'C' ---> (pick one)
I just think a gathering that big wouldn't be very practical.People that don't camp would have to make reservations at different motels and people who are camping would have to pick up camp and go set up again at another place.Chances are alot of them will be pretty hung over too.I myself will probably just do what I always do and just pop in for a little while and take off.
DOC ... the online feed (webcast) wouldn't be during the 'ROLLING' part ... it'd be during the 'PARTY' part! (<:) ... although filming during the R~I~D~E would be kinda cool!
Point to ponder, if this is part of the nationwide BON party, which I am assuming it is, if we do the rolling option it may get a lil tricky to have a camera online. I'm going to contact Gonzo in Ohio this week to talk about that whole process with him. Just keep in mind that rolling party option may not be practical if we want party online on camera
Personally? ... I like the 'Rolling Party' for a number of different reasons ... it would allow people to join in as time, money and availability permits ... we would get more riding in ... and we could pre-arrange 'things to do' --- when we 'get to where we're going!
Bentley's would be awesome - Tom and I know Greg (the manager) and the staff know us (we take the 5th on that one!). Since we are local it would be easy for me to work with them. I can check out other accommodations in the area too - maybe another campground and we can get Bentley's to work with us on using the short bus to shuttle anyone who needs it.
Once again I agree with Bikermike (scarry....lol) One location does make sense. I can see it now - "where the F is my birthday cake...oh, that was in Maine? I thought it was in NH"...but wait...that could get me more birthday cakes.....hmmmmmm
Just a suggestion.I think it would be a good idea to have it at one location to avoid confusion.I think it might be just a little too much work for the volunteers to move everything everyday or night to a new location.
The "team" has been talking about something in that area (NH/Maine border) not sure if we want to stay in one spot for the weekend or hit 2-3 different locations. Updates will be posted periodically. Please keep the ideas coming.
BA
Hi ho people! I say Bentley's also, you can get anywhere from there. We could take a trip up to North in Maine and come back down through N.H.., etc. The campgrounds up there are the Balls., it is a good location!!
I'm still gettin my head screwed on after last week but I will help with this and help try to get up a network of video for each location. I'll try to get some info rollin on all that this week or next!!
