Just left Dori's. G, Goldielocks and I just got her bedroom situated so she can sleep on the bed instead of the couch and Goldielocks brought over some stuff to make her recovery go easier. It is going to be a long road for Dori. Her phone was ringing off the hook. She is in pain but in great spirits. Lets all pray for a speedy recovery for her......Luv Ya Dori !

Had a good visit with mom tonight. She was ecstatic to see her Rico and Playtime stopped in to surprise her too! So, she deff. had a good night. Surgery is still scheduled for next Friday so she won't be making it to Catches that weekend! She just wants to get things moving so she can go home. She sends her love. G'nite guys! Love ya's!

I stopped by moms apartment tonight to get some things that she needed and saw the flower arrangement that was sent from Fran, Denise, Playtime, Biking Banker, Yrbigdaddy, Kim, Offthecrossbars, Wanderer, Lisa, Whtbuflo and Hillbilly Deluxe. So I brought it with me and I'm taking it to her tomorrow. We don't know when she will be coming home so there's no sense in it sitting at her apartment. Thanks guys. It's beautiful. She's trying to keep a list of people that visit and call her since everything has been a blur for her the last week. Thanks to all who have been checking up on her. Rico and I are going to see her tomorrow, but not until around 7 so whoever can stop in before that, feel free. :) Love you guys! xo Stefanie

Mom called me around 10 tonight and said she was moved and all settled in. I'm going to find out what the visiting policies and whatnot are and post it on here and I will be going to see her tomorrow. She is at the Bel Air Health and Rehab Center and the address is 410 East Mcphail Road, Bel Air, MD 21014. <3

UPDATE They are moving dori tonight to a rehab center in belair MD the swelling is to bad to do the surgery they are putting it off for a week will post where and how to get ahold of her as soon as we know.

I just gave mom a call to let her know I was sorry for not being able to get up there today and she listed like 10 people that visited her today. I'm sooo happy you guys were able to make it to see her! I don't feel as bad now. I'm hoping to get there tomorrow and I know a few more people are planning to as well, so I will see you then. Hoping to go see her tomorrow. I was holidng out for her to come home but now se thats not going to happen this weekend. Don't worry Stef, We'll have to hot rod the wheel chair! Maybe some flames, a drink holder for her beer, a sissy bar, custom mirrors, and some LED's!!

Spoke to Dori about an hour ago and she still sound sleepy but in Good spirits. Going to see here tomorrow.

I just talked to mom on the phone. She said shes really sleepy today and she sounds really out of it. She told me that she will most likely be there until Monday and is probably going to be moved to a physical therapy rehab place for a while. She says her surgery for the left foot is scheduled for November 4th. They told her the right foot is going to heal on its own. I'm trying my hardest to find a sitter so I can go be with her. In the meantime, if anyone wants to go visit, feel free. She said to me "well if you wanna bring someone with you you can" lol That tells me she wants company. So please, if you can, head on down there. I posted the hospital and room info in my last update. Thanks guys. Love ya's.

OK I am posting this in here for all the people that have not been invited yet, please take a moment and sign up for this event so we can help Dori out.........As we all know Dorigirl was involved in a head on accident on 10/28/2009. She spent several days in Shock Trauma, with both her feet broken and cuts and bruises and just sore as hell. She will be in a wheel chair for some time. We wanted to give her enough time to get some of her pain away and give her an excuse to get back out on the dance floor, even if its in a wheel chair. Dori has had a tremendous outpouring of support from her friends and especially her daughter Stef (aka angeleyes). AS we all should realize this can happen to anyone of us at anytime. Sometimes our friends are the most important reason to heal quicker. So lets make sure Dori has a good time, that she doesnt pay for a single thing that night and we will also have a collection going on to help her out since she is unable to work, all donations will be given directly to Dori, There will be a donation bucket at the front door and one at the bar. So lets show Dori just how much we all care about her and help her out during this time of healing.

**UPDATE** 10/30/2009 - Well, I have some new details for you guys...can't say that its great news tho. I'm sure most of you read Bobbys post from today...yes BOTH legs are in casts. After attempting to wiggle from her bed to the chair using a walker she noticed a sharp pain shooting up her leg, so she requested an x-ray on her right foot. Sure enough, a broken Tallus bone. So, they casted it and we should know tomorrow if it will require surgery too. (It most likely will) If it does and they don't have to wait for the swelling to go down, then I'm guessing it'll be done tomorrow which probably means she will be there a couple more days. The surgery for her left foot is still going to be in a couple weeks. Also, she asked them to x-ray her left arm (elbow) which is very swollen and painful to move. They decided to x-ray both arms since we found a big bruise on her right arm as well. We should know the results of those in the morning. So, since she doesn't even have her left leg to hobble on...she had to have a walker and wheelchair delivered to her room, which is going to come home with us. Fun fun. She HATES the thought of the wheelchair. But I'm not sure how much I can help her do without it. It's actually going to be 8-12 weeks that's she's going to be off her feet. Don't hesitate to visit. You all know mom NEEDS interaction with people. A few more things before I go to bed...she did have a fever this morning but it didn't last long and hasn't been a problem since. She had a sore throat all day and the nurse said her tonsils were swollen, so they've been keeping an eye on that and also did a throat swab. She will have all those results tomorrow along with the ones from the blood tests and uninalysis. Poor thing is so tired of being poked on and moved around. She can't wait to get home. I asked about the meds she's been getting and they said she was getting morphine through the IV, but they've taken that out. So, they were giving her percocet by mouth. It didn't ease the pain so they up'ed her to oxycontin today. (I hate the idea of that, but I know that she needs it right now.) She's also taking something to control the acids in her stomach and an antibotic. As for the little bit of info we've been able to gather about the actual accident...no one was informed of any details...no cops talked to mom about anything...we didn't know who hit her, what kind of car...nothing! My younger sister Amy was very bothered by that, so she took it upon herself to go to the police and get the information herself. She got the officers name and phone number, a case number and found out that 2 other people were also flown to shock trauma. She's tried to contact the officer and he has returned her calls but it's turned into phone tag so they haven't actually spoken yet. We're going to keep working on that. Before I left tonight, my mom's cousin (that works in the office with her) called and said that one of her friends knew the people in the other car. It was a male and a female (they're a couple) and they we're driving a Cadillac. We still don't know names or where these people are now. We will figure out everything though and hopefully soon. I have to see my mom suffering everyday without knowing how and why this happened to her. It's a horrible feeling. Ok, I think that's about everything. Keep up the texts and phone calls. She absolutley loves hearing from you all. I will be going back down tomorrow, but I'm not sure what time I can be there yet because I need to find a sitter. (No one under the age of 12 is allowed in shock trauma) If any of you are free tomorrow and feel like making a trip to UMMC in Baltimore tomorrow, she would love some visitors. I would love for someone to be there if I can't be because I hate the thought of her being alone. It's easy to find the hospital. It's right off 95, follow Martin Luther King Blvd. and make a right on Greene St. She's under Doris Smith (not Dori) and she's 4th floor shock trauma room 6B. Ok, that was a nice long update. lol Time for me to get ready for bed. Again, you all are wonderful.

OK here is another update on Dori, Stef asked me to let everyone know that Dori is ok, she is in good spirits HOWEVER her other ankle is broken so now she has both feet casted and she will be in a wheelchair for about 6 to 8 weeks so she said she better get plenty of lap dances when she gets home. She will be in Shock Trauma for another day or two. Stef will update everyone when she gets home tonight..

I'm getting ready to head back to the hospital. Hopefully mom will be coming home with me today. We will see how the "physical therapy" goes today. She wasn't able to keep anything down yesterday, which I'm guessing is because of all the pain meds she...'s on. It's going to be another long day. Anyone who wants to call its 4th floor Shock Trauma, room 6B. This isn't as much as I would like to have posted today, but I couldn't get up as early as I would have liked. Stef, I just read what you wrote, we all need to thank your mom for the wonderful friendship she has shown us all. There is never a time where she doesn't smile or bring any negativity to anywhere or nothing bad to say about anyone, she always finds the good in EVERYONE, we are all so glad she is here because she shows us all the right way to be, she may not know she shows us, but she does!! The first time I met her I said WOW she is the sweetest nicest person I have met and nothing is a front with her, she is all genuine and god will keep her here to keep showing us that there are good people like your mom!! Wow, I just read every comment and I'm in tears. I can't thank you all enough for your wonderful friendships with my mom. I guess that's why she's so happy all the time...with a group of friends like you guys, how could she not be? I just got home from spending 10 hrs with mom at the hospital. I can't say much has changed since the update Bobby posted for me earlier (By the way, thank you Bobby! We can always count on you!) I wish I had some great news, but I don't. I can say though, that even with a mouth full of stitches she's still smilin'! Hopefully she will be going home tomorrow...she will be more comfortable but it's NOT going to be easy. Once, they decide when and how to operate on her foot there will be some physical therapy of some sort involved. I've already committed myself to being her "live in nurse" lol Well, more of an assistant really. Cooking, cleaning, helping her walk around and whatnot. I'm there for her for as long as it takes! I told her "Well, you've been taking care of me for 26 years...it's my turn damnit!" LOL I would write more...but I haven't slept in 2 days and haven't even taken the time to eat! I need some rest before I head back to my momma in the morning. Anyone who wants her address or needs any other info please send me a message...it's hard to keep track of who I've answered and all that good stuff with all these comments! Oh, Dori has her phone now and there is a direct number to her room as well...but I'm drawing a complete blank as to what it is right now even tho I probably texted it 20 times today. Either way, she talked to quite a few people today and it made her day. So feel free to call. Ok, I'm finished for now. I'm delerious and my bloodshot eyes are stingin'! Stef asked me to give everyone an update on Dori. She was not able to have surgery today due to the swelling she is in good spirits but she is banged up. Broken ribs bruises all over her body, G and Franny are there now along with Stef and Dori will be in the hospital a couple more days. Stef said she is letting her Mom know all the warm thoughts and prayers that everyone has sent as soon as Stef gets home tonight she will update this for everyone
