Surgery was a GREAT SUCESS! Stint in artery is making it stronger than ever before, the coiling of the anuerism went well, Krista will be in NICU for 2 days then back to rehabilitation at St. Joe's in Ann Arbor. All your prayers are much appreciated! YAHOOOOOO!!!! :)

K...getting ready for work now..and then day shift Thursday..have Friday off..will call u Friday sometime..in between all this..Krista is possibly scheduled for her stint operation tomorrow or Friday...but I will contact u sometime in the next few days.

That sucks Marie. I believe because it is a motorcycle, in the state of Michigan, No Fault does not apply. If he did not own the bike, whoever owned it is responsible. I just went through that with my son, he was on one of my bikes. Still in my name and insured by me. We need to talk...

According to MI Statute a injured passenger on a motorcycle must seek Personal Injury Protection in the following order: insurer of the owner or registrant of motor vehicle, insurer of the operator of motor vehicle, the motor vehicle insurer of the operator of the motorcycle, the motor vehicle insurer of the owner or registrant of the motorcycle. Its a difficult situation, the bike was not the operators but a friends. The hospitals are dealing with claims, I am dealing with making sure the insurance companies have the claims mailed to me that incured outside of the hospitals. PLUS the BF(grrrr) is saying he has no motor vehicle insurance..but I have PROOF he does have business auto insurance...:) He claims they were forced off the road, but has had 5 different stories. So therefore, we cannot find a vehicle owner, nor is there any impact of any contact with another vehicle involved.

Not yet Dianna~going to the hospital tomorrow to see if I can catch up with the doctors, they dont do rounds on the weekends, so I missed them yesterday. Trying to deal with the insurance companies(yeah, like 5 of them)SUCKS! They need to figure out who pays first and in what order. Thought I left that stuff behind when I left the medical field but guess not..lol. Will let you know more when I find out.

Thanks everyone~I am holding up thats it Dianna~working, raising a 7yr old, trying to get custody of the 14yr old, and dealing with going to the hospital as much as I can is wearing me out~BUT I can and will be OK! Deb I am trying to be strong but sometimes its hard~as you already know~I could use a different job~but am grateful just for a job~LOL. I appreciate all the prayers and good wishes...prayers are what is keeping my daughter with us and making her strong through all of this!

The balloon occlusal test went well, waiting to hear from her neuro surgeon when the actual operation will be to deal with the anuerism. Thanks to all for your prayers, they are indeed helping!

oh how sad i will pray for her and your family in this need how did the boyfriend end up? hope he is ok to and the gods will not let her go yet she has a long life ahead of her for her kids they need there mother god will let her heal my prayers and blessing are with you all..

UPDATE:Krista is having surgery on Wednesday, another angiogram to the right side of the brain. Doctor needs to find out if there is damage on this side before he coils out the anuerism on the left side. If there isnt damage the right side should be able to take over for the lost part of the left side after surgery. If there is damage then he will have to rebuild another bridge to the brain using a vein from some other part of her body.(this will be major brain surgery) Hopefully the right side has no damage...will post more after the surgery! I have FAITH in God that everything will work out ok.

OMG Marie, I just seen this! I will keep Krista in my prayers and pray for a good outcome! My son was also in a bike wreck in Sep up in MI...Luckily he came out ok...bruised most of his innards and a couple of Hematomas and some road rash but he was lucky. Gd Bless and keep her with us! update: Surgery is cancelled for tomorrow...the surgeon is attending a Vascular seminar on wednesday to take Krista's unique case with him to confer with surgeons as to what is the best way to handle the situation, will keep you all updated when I find out more news.

We have a major sit back...she got transfered to U of M for surgery last Friday. She developed an anuerism in her neck cutting off the supply to the brain, her left eye does not open now. Surgery is sit for tomorrow~to coil out the area effected and to rebridge a new blood supply to the brain. Have been at the hospital with her since late Thursday nite...please keep up the prayers.they are the source that keeps her with us..I believe and have faith in the Lord to help her get through this sit back. God Bless all of you for your prayers and wishes!

Thanks for the prayer~went to the hospital today with both kids, Krista said "stop" to her daughter when she was trying to brush her mom's teeth..then she said "oh God" a little while later. The nurses said she has been saying that when they come into fix her bed and lift her up straight...:) a very good day for her today! Have a family meeting with doctors and rehab personell tomorrow, will post more then. Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers...much appreciated!

Krista said her first two words yesterday according to her nurses she whispered OK and HI...:) wish I had heard her voice. She took a step on her own without help also. Today is my grandaughters birthday~hope Mom talks for her on her visit this weekend, that would be a nice bd gift.

EVERYDAY IS A GOOD DAY.GOD IS WATCHING OVER KRISTA!

thanks! all the prayers and wishes are much appreciated! The nurses got her sitting on edge of bed yesterday..and helped her to stand up on the scale..she did a great job!..her head is wobbly and she has a hard time holding it up..from all the laying in bed and injuries..she has a metal traech that they are going to plug today to see if she can handle it on her own. Her eyes were more reacting..put the kids pics right next to her on the bed and she kept staring at them...day by day ..inch by ince...GOD IS GOOD!

Krista was moved to rehab on tuesday. Still have a long haul ahead of her. Guardianship was sucess for two..still fighting to get my grandaughter..lots of legal issues on this one. Dad is being an #*# he needs to understand what is best for his child and not his selfish self! They had Krista up in a chair for a few minutes yesterday..and had her standing up for first time..going up tonight with the little guy to visit..will update later! THANKS to all for prayers..please pray for continued recovery! God Bless all of you!!

Thanks everyone, the wishes and comments are much appreciated!...she is still in a coma..got prognosis from the doctor yesterday...not looking good..the brain is not reacting to the stimulus medicine...she will be transfered to rehab soon....eyes are moving around but dont really think they are focusing yet. Her prognosis is poor according to the med statement. I filed guardianship for her and the kids today! My ex refused too do it with me...what a MAN he is eh?

Krista is out of ICU. She is being given brain stimulation meds to wake her up from slight coma she is still in. She moves arms, legs, head alot now. The speech therapist wants to start therapy, but until the traech collar is deflated she cant. Within the next few days we should know if the brain medication is going to work or not. And yes~we are trusting in God and the doctors both. All your prayers have helped tremendously and are still needed and appreciated!

the realy quistion to this are we still willing to trust in God thought it all no matter what healed or not . and to lean on his ever lasting love.

We lift you both up in the Name of Christ and speak healing and miraculous works be done for this family ....... amen

The progress is probably slow for you but it will take time. I am still saying the prayers for her and your family.

They have Krista in a tent now, she is moving around more and breathing on her own, eyes are still not focused, doctors said she is still in a slight coma, they even have her in a pink helmet to protect her head from getting hurt, day by day with God's help and all your prayers, which are much appreciated!

Traech procedure and feeding tube went well..just got home from seeing her~eyes more open..yawning now..but just left side of mouth, beginning to think right side is effected from brain surgery~ moving legs more too..will keep all updated..continuing prayers everyday!

Thanks for the prayers and thoughts from everyone~yesterday brought her slightly opening her eyes, and reacting to voices by moving legs, and body some, she squeezed our hands, she had a good day with the therapist breathing some on her own. My grandaughter Kelsey wiped a tear from her Mom's eye when she told her she was there~I believe she knows but cant respond much yet. With all your good thoughts and prayers God will guide us through each day.

I don't know you or your daughter, but lost a good friend this summer and had a few others go down, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

i know it's hard, but be patient... her brain needs the time to heal. my grandson's mom lost blood flow to half her brain for more than an hour, and then had brain surgery a few days later... we'll all keep praying for you and her...

Thanks Dianna,much appreciated!..today was a good day..Krista opened her eyes slightly and when we talked she moved her arms and legs and her heartbeat rose...she knew us..I know she did..she just needs to open her eyes more..I only hope that she will be able to see us..and that the brain damage didnt effect her sight.
