i wasnt at bentlys when you guys discussed this but i definatly want to go...i have been trying for 2 tears but people always back out. i am a teacher and have the whole summer off. can i do anything to help with plans? deb

Would like to know a bit more about the Chip though.. they have been really good with me so far and don't they have the pool/lake something with a rope swing? I've been looking at the Legions Ride and the Pitch Fork Fondue as a couple things to bring the N.E. BON Group Together.. and Yup ~ Have a few surprised planned...LOL

I was there when Tyler fell. He was just being Stevie Tyler doing his dance thing...it was pretty wild watching him float right off the stage.

DO NOT stay at the Chip....the owner sucks and everyone should boycott his ass...been there the last two years and will be going again next year. Attendence has been declining over the last few years. Check out the Days End Camp Ground or the new Broken Spoke. The Spoke has a pool. You can find all kinds of info on sturgis.com This is the site I have met a great bunch of people (look for the borrachos) and we have several parties throughout the year at different locations. Dont worry about booking so late because the camp grounds can accomodate you at anytime and they are always first come gets the best spots so plan on arriving early like the Thursday or the Friday before the rally starts. The ride out is always a great adventure. I have lots more to add but will reserve it for later.

Yes, Steven Tyler was there. He fell off the stage, hurt his arm/sholder(?) and then went back on a drinking binge, after many years of on the wagon. I've heard that it has caused such a riff with the rest of the band, that is why they had to cancel the summer tour and the rest of the band is soo pissed off at him, that they haven't spoken since then. That said, sounds like a good time can be had at the Chip, aka Buffalo Chip camping. Sounds like a place NE/Bon'ers can have a good time. (LOL) Zen

Talked to a bunch yesterday and keeping a log of all suggestions so when we decide to meet I have all the info... I am working on a route, and ideas on everyone getting there together safely.. one idea couple Motor homes, trailer for bikes and switch off drivers.. so if you want to ride you can and if you want to load your bike on the trailer at some point you can... just an idea.. this would also be a safety net for rain etc.. just throwing it out there.. also working on some things to do while there..Pitch Fork Fondue, Legions Ride.. Last year Steven Tyler was on it.. good times.. so keep the ideas coming I will post more as I gather info.. Hugs & Godspeed ~ Kim

Hello All, Kim, Just a thought. I would be interested in having a planning session, with as many BON'ers, that have made the trip before. Even, if the are not planning on going in 2010. The more info from those that have done it before, can only help. Maybe even at the first NE/BON breakfast, 10/18?? Let me know if there is anything I can do to help?!?! Count me in! When I get a job, I'm just gonna have to tell them I need the 2 weeks off to make this trip...any thoughts around a chase vehicle, perhaps taking turns driving for those that are bike-less?

I wasn't in on the Bentleys crew, and I'm from Michigan - but Hell Yea I wanna go! I've always wanted to go, and haven't made it yet! Don't have a bike - but I'll figure something out!

I would gladly hook up with you for the ride out but will probably continue on to the west coast...I'd like to see the Grand Canyon on the way back...ride rte 66 and rte 50......who knows what else?

Was planning on going anyway..I have been there 3 times and have all kinds of info about Sturgis..We will have to get together and go over all the material i have..Anyone else that is really going is invited to get together also..I have been to every bilke rally and event across the US of A and Sturgis was my favorite..Anyone going will have a ball and a good time too!!!lol..
