God we were so young , 18 and full of ideals on how i was going to stop communism , how what we were doing was right and for a just cause. By the end of my tour , I was so disillusioned and angry. Fought the war for and with my brothers not the government , and for that I will always be grateful.

... near the end of Clip #6 the soundtrack is silent for nearly 2 minutes. The song that is missing is 'Once I Was' performed by Tim Buckley. The full, original and uncut version of this beautiful piece can be found on my BON home page. It's listed as the #1 track on my 'GREEN' Playlist. Give it a listen if you have a moment.

In the mid 80's HBO ran this documentary. ... "Dear America - Letters Home From Viet Nam" ... The film is actual 'Broadcast News' footage, combined with the reading(s) of actual letters that soldiers wrote home during their tour. ... The contents of the documentary speak for itself. ...
