Just turn it on and watch it go (or don't watch, it still goes). It comes with a remote control so you can sit in your Lay-Z-Boy and CONTROL her/him :) It also has two "walls". These are lazers that keep the Roomba from going places you don't want it to go and, of course, the docking station. I paid about $300 with 20% off coupon from Bed Bath and Beyond back in 2006. I tried it out a couple of weeks ago because I hadn't used it in awhile. Yes, it still works. OK, it might not vacuum as good as Mom did, but your Mom isn't vacuuming for you anymore is she?
