Ok, I'm casting my vote for the Lake Pleasant location....it's close, facilities are right there, and plenty of room, there are 2 good locations where we probably won't get hassled about noise.....maybe.....lol the image up there shows the possible camp sites.

There's a great camping place just North of Strawberry on highway 87. Go past hwy 260 (to about milepost 187) and there is a turnoff (on the right) for NF147. It is a dirt road, but you can camp not too far in. There are mutliple camping areas. For a large group take NF612 (left turn about 2 miles in after the cattle guard) and then make your first left. There are no facilities. It is an awesme spot. YOYO

Kirkland Bar and SteakHouse but remember he was the one that pissed off the Sheriff and we cannot drink and ride after..He waits for bikers coming out of there...So if you plan on going to see Greg at Burro Inn after a few..Don't..Otherwise good place to to and get a room party etc., showers, food....cheap..

Yea Tony there is, but personally I've had about enough of the bar/camping thing, lol. I have to talk to my friend, we have a place that has very inexpensive cabins for rent and a clubhouse to party in, plus camping and rv spots as well. More to follow on that in the next few days as soon as I talk with her about it. Easy run for the Vegas crew as well

Yes, you heard correctly..the owner talked to Vegas.., maybe Teri , yes teri because she has the business cards he gave her.. They have a couple rooms for rent..and an the area in the back for camping etc..owner was really wanting to work something out.. he's had some biker overniter events there...

TONY the place is amazing and would be perfect for thi camping trip. They have a few rooms showers - great bar and amazing food. Only downfall is do not ride after drinking there- the owner pissed off the sherriff and they sit and wait. If you guys need info I can get it for you!

TAC and I found a campground that doesnt have certain rules, in the desert, has showers and toilets and has a group area. Right outside Hesperia and about 7 miles from the Hesperia Mud Pond for those that fish

Without reading ALL of the posts below...ABATE holds their events at Mormon Lake and the American Legion Riders are holding their annual campouts there too. If you've been there, you know it has everything you're looking for. Camping, tents, trailers, cabins, showers, water, food, gas and yes...even the bikers can be bikers!

It's a pretty tough call as to where to have it at because the time frame envelopes all of the big game hunting seasons and I don't think anyone wants to be too close to stray bullets or ricocheted arrows.

Yea Kat, Mingus has some good spots also, there's a large group area right on top of the mtn that has a small lake. And a natl. forest camp also. I'm not sure the group area would be able to handle us tho, lol Not much around Cottonwood really, except rattlesnakes, lol

Oh...LOL and camped by the river...LOL...it's on Apache reservation...so it's pretty peaceful. I did not notice any 10pm rules or enforcements of any kind...and this was over 4th of July weekend! :)

Lets check out Whiteriver, AZ - South of Pinetop...absolutely beautiful. Dirt road going into the place but not too bad. Rode in/out once before myself. River near by...just awesome, peaceful and quiet and a GREAT ride!

Yea it is Sunshiney, Pleasant is just a suggestion, I don't know of any place we can get the bikes in AND have real TREES for shade. The verde river has trees, but it's not much cooler and there are 10 times as many rattlesnakes....I don't like those things very much.

The only problem with Lake Pleasant is the constant sheriff's helicopter flights. They fly over several times each day. And any boobie-boxing would certainly cause a raid on our camp! LOL

Ok, here's a suggestion. I've camped there twice this year. North end of Lake Pleasant on the Castle Hot Springs rd. Easy access, out of the way, parking for bikes. The prime spot would be right at the parking lot/boat ramp. Paved rd in, paved parking, camps can be set up right at the waters edge on a long narrow beach or to the east in a small cove. Bikes will be visible from camp and only a few yards away. Restrooms close, drinking water there also. The other one is only about 300 yards away, but would entail a little dirt road riding, but it's not bad. No facilites other than porta johns, or a walk to the first place I mentioned. Here's a link to the map of that area. #2 on the map is the area I'm suggesting. #3 is a hill top camp with tables but away from the water.

A brass dance pole on a trailer pulled by a custom golf cart. With my Toyhauler and generator I don't need electricty and can play anywhere. The Burro Saloon in Wilhoit in late September to mid October shouldn't be too cold. And they love me and "Fools Life" so there ain't no sound or time limits. And for a Band I would suggest "Fools Life". I've played with them at a lot of biker events and they are the bomb. Just don't give "Tequila John" any tequila unless you really want to party. A BON camp out would be real cool. Some ideas: Our band played the Ugly's (UMF) overnighter in Wilhoit AZ. It was at the Burro Saloon. The owner let bikers be bikers and we all had a grand old time. Also Played the Riot on The River in Winkleman AZ. There is a large park there where they let bikers be bikers. Both were a blast! At both event's we had music playing 24/7 DJ and live band. www.foolslife.com

Here's another option. The Colorado river. I have a friend that lives there and she knows all the good spots for camping/water fun. She's sending me info so we can check it out. Remember, this won't even be happening until mid Sept at the earliest, temps will be changing drastically in some areas.

I'm in! We could go up on the rim and take the Young exit. It only goes South. It is a dirt road, but not very far, less than a mile, there is a huge pull out/campsite on the right or West side. It is a really nice area, plus we have a lot of good riding on up the rim toward Heber and such.

If we are NOT riding, then I know a million places to go where there's swimmin' holes, fishin' whatever.If we're riding, that narrows it down considerably, but there are still places to go. No, road up thru Bumble bee is good, by car or truck, (no bikes, sorry) Crown King had a close call with fire last year but the bar (& the town) is standing and the Mill Restraunt is a party, big time patio for large parties & dances...Mike (owner) is my neighbor, so he could hook us up....No electric to my property but plenty of moonlight camping on the hill overlooking CK...primitive setting if thats the deal were looking for.
