I have 32 years experience in the construction business and have mastered many of the trades in and around the business over the years with emphasis on carpentry. I was raised on job sites following my dad, a local General Contractor and I'm a third generation carpenter. At 21 I was given charge of my first residential framing crew on a large apartment complex, I found I enjoyed the responsibility. My experience includes but is not limited to: Form carpentry, 32 yrs. Wood framing, 32 yrs. Metal framing, 19 yrs. Insulation. Drywall, hanging & finishing, both residential and commercial, 19 yrs. Acoustical ceilings, 24 yrs. Trim carpentry both residential & commercial, 32 yrs. In the 90's I worked for G.W.Ivey Construction Co. During this time we sub-contracted from Bob Matthews Construction Co., building schools and Post Offices in north east FL, and south east GA, among other things. In the late 90's G.W.Ivey was the contractor that built the Jacksonville Public Defender's Office along with Bob Matthews. I was one of three foreman on that job, overseeing the metal framing and drywall and later the acoustical ceilings. I live in Southern NH and I'm an Office Administrator. Competition is brutal out there and unfortunately, salaries aren't what they used to be. Due to economic reasons, my company cut hours of several of the office staff, including me. So, I was a full-time employee there, and now I'm part-time. I desparately need a full-time position again to survive and pay the bills. I will work in southern NH or in MA up to Burlington, Woburn, Beford area.
