What is next? Fishing poles and golf club
http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h45/show Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House. This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009. We just learned yesterday about this on the Peter Boyles radio program. Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because it is flying under the radar.
To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of
2009. You will get all the information.
Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:
*It is registered.
*You are fingerprinted.
*You supply a current Driver's License.
*You supply your Social Security #.
*You will submit to a physical & mental evaluation at any time of their choosing.
*Each update - change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25 - Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail.
*There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a child-access provision. Gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18. They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 yrs. in prison.
If you think this is a joke - go to the website and take yourpick of many options to read this. It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this. Pass the word along. Any hunters in your family - pass this along. Peter Boyles is on this and having guests. Listen to him on KHOW 630 a.m.. in the morning. He suggests the best way to fight this is to tell all your friends about it and "spring into action". Also he suggests we all join a pro-gun group like the Colorado Rifle Association, hunting associations, gun clubs and especially the NRA.
This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it. This is one to act on whether you own a gun or not. If you take my gun, only the criminal will have one to use against me. HR 45 only makes me/us less safe. After working with convicts for 26 years I know this bill, if passed, would make them happy and in less danger from their victims.

This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine. My rifle is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I master my life. My rifle, without me, is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless. I must fire my rifle true. I must shoot straighter than any enemy who is trying to kill me. I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will....
My rifle and myself know that what counts in this war is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the smoke we make. We know that it is the hits that count. We will hit...
My rifle is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weakness, its strength, its parts, its accessories, its sights and its barrel. I will keep my rifle clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will...
Before God I swear this creed. My rifle and myself are the defenders of my country. We are the masters of our enemy. We are the saviors of my life. So be it, until victory is America's and there is no enemy, but Peace.
Going to DC next week to visit my son who is in the Army. We will do some shooting and perhaps some gun shopping while there. Of course the beers, JD, and cigars in the evening. Proud dad here.

Sorry pushed the wrong button before I finished.
What can you do in your states?
The first thing to do is google The Gun Owners of America learn about them and join them. They are the only nationall organization dedicated to getting Vermont carry in all the other states. If you think it cant be done you are wrong. We did it in Alaska(thank you Sara Palin). Find out from them which state organization they work with and join and get involved whith them. Never crompromise or give up any of your rights.
If anyone wants to discus this issue contact me here.

Ok people let's talk about gun control. To begin let me giv you a little of my background. From 1995 til 2009 I was the president of the Gun Owners Of Vermont and it's head lobbyist. I'm the second most expert person on firearms laws in the state. The first is Cindy Hill our attorney. I'm gona talk about different gun laws in this state and on a federall level and i'm gona cover differend issues at different times. I'm going to piss off some people make others envious and make others wish it was like that where they live. I will start with handguns. In this state you can carry a loaded handgun opeanly or concealed without permits or govt. permission anywhere you want except in a court house, prison, or a school. We are working on schools. The reason for this is not because the government gives us permission its because there is no law prohibiting it and there never will be. We also have a very strong constitutionall provision which states. Chapter 1 article 12. That the people(YES PEOPLE) have a right to bear arms for the defence of themselves and the state. In 1903 there was a Vermont Supreem court decision regarding the carying of handguns. The city of Rutland passed an ordanance requiring permits to carry a handgun. The very first person to get arrested for it brought it all the way to the Surpreem court and they found it Quote Repugnant to the Constitution. What about modern times. If anyone here thinks the current legislature actually believes in the constitution they are mistaken. The reason we have no guncontroll is because we have a strong grass roots organization that will not tolerate it in any form. As a matter of fact the bigest hearing in the history of this state was on gun control.
I'm here in full support......there is no way I will give up my firearms!! It's getting so they will try to tax air as well or pay to take a breath. The mountains are sounding better and better.
I'm Thinking here in Mass and the Northeast I should ask everyone to join GOAL & NRA with me if your not a memeber... Good thing to belong to so you are up to date at all times and not fighting this alone..Anyone needs applications or information feel free to email me anytime.. this is near and dear to my heart as a BOD for our local Sportsman's club. Hugz & Licks for a good day! Kim
Right on Harley. Fred is a friend of mine also. Tonight i'm going to write up something about Vermont that will have the rest of the bon gun people eating there harts out.

Now this guy actually makes sense if you think about it.
Sounds a bit far fetched until you re read it and consider it.
Vermont State Rep. Fred Maslack has read the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, as well as Vermont's own Constitution very carefully, and his strict interpretation of these documents is popping some eyeballs in New England and elsewhere.
Maslack recently proposed a bill to register "non-gun-owners" and require them to pay a $500 fee to the state. Thus Vermont would become the first state to require a permit for the luxury of going about unarmed and assess a fee of $500 for the privilege of not owning a gun.
Maslack read the "militia" phrase of the Second Amendment as not only affirming the right of the individual citizen to bear arms, but as a clear mandate to do so. He believes that universal gun ownership was advocated by the Framers of the Constitution as an antidote to a "monopoly of force" by the government as well as criminals.
Vermont 's constitution states explicitly that "the people have a right to bear arms for the defense of themselves and the State" and those persons who are "conscientiously scrupulous of bearing arms" shall be required to "pay such equivalent." Clearly, says Maslack, Vermonters have a constitutional obligation to arm themselves, so that they are capable of responding to "any situation that may arise." Under the bill, adults who choose not to own a firearm would be required to register their name, address, Social Security Number, and driver's license number with the state. "There is a legitimate government interest in knowing who is not prepared to defend the state should they be asked to do so," Maslack says.Vermont already boasts a high rate of gun ownership along with the least restrictive laws of any state ... it's currently the only state that allows a citizen to carry a concealed firearm without a permit. This combination of plenty of guns and few laws regulating them has resulted in a crime rate that is the third lowest in the nation.
"America is at that awkward stage. It's too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards."
This makes sense! There is no reason why gun owners should have to pay
taxes to support police protection for people not wanting to own guns.
Let them contribute their fair share and pay their own way.
Became an "Oath Keeper" Although I'm not military or in law enforcement, I have since a child pledged allegiance to the flag, therefore all it stands for, including the "Constitution of these United States" Check it out. JOIN as a Patriot!
I'm proud to be a Son of Liberty Rider. Get involved in a grassroots organization somewhere and add your voice to the silent majority... Just get involved!!!
Thanks gusher if more of us that want what the forefathers did would get behind this party it would change things!!!
BTW Beautiful, sexy and smart you are the total package arn't you!!!
Yes Lioness, Slayer is right, it's the Libertarian party ... they're not just about making weed legal (like everyone thinks) they're also about keeping the government out of our business and doing only what they're supposed to do according to the Constitution.
I got this in an email last March, so its very important that you let people know, apparently its been 6 months and the majority of Americans are still unaware of the political maneuverings of this administration.
check out an interesting video that John Stossel, an ABC journalist and perhaps one of the only unbiased reporters on network television, prepared during his investigation of gun control and its effects on a society.

God Guts and Guns made us free and these are the only things that will keep us that way!!! Don't just check the bill call and let the reps know you oppose this!!!
You can find the numbers on the net at the congressonal web sites. If you can't find yours message me I will get them for you!!!
Shoot them outside them drag them inside is what I was always told. Don't I remember seeing something years ago about "RIGHT TO BARE ARMS".
If we let them take our guns away...whats next?
Think ahead folks, add to you collection with a muzzle loader or two, as well as black powder pistols, not a "common" weapon and generally paper free. Get lots of powder and some lead to cast your own balls and then when the shit hits the fan, and your cant get ammo for your other arms you ARE preepared for everything from hunting to defense. I may be paranoid, but you can bet your ass you'll want to be around my neck of the woods (if your my friend) if the worst happens.
Take my guns? C'mon and try!
I am one of those old fools, clinging to my guns and religion...only the 1st two articles of the bill of rights..... Yep, mess with my people and the rule is = kill em all and let god sort it out.
I have guns they are mine and I wouldn't have a problem shooting anyone who trys to take them from me and was always taught shoot 1st then ask question my home my guns don't cross that line
I am all for Gun Control.............I have a Gun so I'm in control...........and actually to tell you the honest truth about it....i don't own a gun and can't own a gun because I lost that right years ago but i do support every individuals right to bear arms if they so choose to do so
Individuals should definitely know how their elected representatives stand on the right to bear arms issues and let them know where you stand. The NRA does a good job and is the biggest united voice we have out there.
People use you voices and your heads! That seems to be the problem. People not using their heads. Vote these people out of office. Liberal gun control is contrary to our constitution!
i think we should be like my home state Texas....why our state motto is: DONT MESS WITH TEXAS! right to carry and buy as many as you want everyday as long as you have the money to buy! we have to take American back people! you have a voice.....USE IT !
A liberal friend just sent me this email: I agree Obama is starting to get pretty scarey. I don't see where he has been in office long enough or did anything long enough to deserve a Nobel Peace Prize. I think its ludacris. I got an email the other day saying that on 2010 tax forms he is going to try to make you identify yourself as a gun owner and list what kind of guns you have. I think then he would pass size limitations on handguns or something then come confiscate anything you had bigger. WSe are losing so many of our civil liberties everyday and parental legislation is getting out of control. Yes, I am scared. The fact that we are white is not going to make it any better for us either, it gets worse everyday.
Long time Anti-Gun Advocate State Senator R.C. Soles, 74, shot one of two intruders at his home just outside Tabor City, N.C. about 5 p.m. Sunday, the prosecutor for the politician's home county said.
The victim, Kyle Blackburn, was taken to a South Carolina hospital, but the injuries were not reported to be life-threatening, according to Rex Gore, district attorney for Columbus, Bladen and Brunswick counties.
The State Bureau of Investigation and Columbus County Sheriff's Department are investigating the shooting, Gore said. Soles, who was not arrested, declined to discuss the incident Sunday evening.
"I am not in a position to talk to you," Soles said by telephone. "I'm right in the middle of an investigation."
Soles, a top-ranking Democrat and the longest-serving member of the legislature, already was the subject of an SBI investigation over sexual misconduct allegations with former male clients.
The Senator, who has made a career of being against gun ownership for the general public, didn't hesitate to defend himself with his own gun when he believed he was in immediate danger and he was the victim.
In typical hypocritical liberal fashion, the "Do As I Say And Not As I Do" Anti-Gun Activist Lawmaker picked up his gun and took action in what apparently was a self-defense shooting. Why hypocritical you may ask? It is because his long legistlative record shows that the actions that he took to protect his family, his own response to a dangerous life threatening situation, are actions that he feels ordinary citizens should not have if they were faced with an identical situation.
It has prompted some to ask if the Senator believes his life and personal safety is far more valuable than yours or mine. But, this is to be expected from those who believe they can run our lives, raise our kids, and protect our families better than we can.
The NRA employs a multi facted approach to protecting our second amendment rights. They work tirelessly not only to challenge guns laws through our judicial system but they fund canidates,in key areas of the country, who will represent gun owners. They are also on the forefront of protecting hunters rights.Hunters are under assault by wacko-eco-terroists,who attempt to shut down millions of acres of hunting land, and the NRA has a hand in fighting those battles as well.So it's not as simple as just fighting for our second amendment through the courts, but much more. When a law is put into place it takes much more effort, time and money to overturn it that what it took originally to pass it.After the general election of 2000 Al Gore admitted that it was the efforts of the NRA that helped ensure his defeat.
if Americans continue to ban together and stand up for our rights...this will be a non-issue. the republicans and the democrats are a mirror image of each othert...form a new party the AMERICAN party
Raymond I don't know you but I most certainly have every respect for you as a person, and for your right to your opinion, however my opinion stands. It will continue to stand untill I actually see the NRA responsible for having the existing laws struck down as unconstitutional.
guns arent the problem....dan im hangin behind you. haha bambi makes good sandwiches...hitting your target is gun control...those are my thoughts on this...lol
Tool Man you coulnd't be more profoudly wrong. The NRA has been the single most effective organization advocating for our second amendment rights. It's not possible see all the work this organization takes on,but it does require a great deal of money in order to battle the gun grabbers. They're well funded so we need to be as well.Your suggestions are worthy but don't so readily dismiss the NRA and the valuable services they provide..
Basically what is proposed by this bill is currently law in the Peoples Republic of New Jersey. What has the NRA done to protect the constitutional right of residents of New Jersey to keep and bear arms? Not a damn thing. They send me their little appeals for mony, attached to their latest scare story. I tell them to kiss my ass, and as long as I am required to hold one firearms permit to purchase long guns, and one permit each for every handgun I will continue to do so. You want this proposal shelved? Then each of you must individually pester the shit out of your state senaters and congressmen. Let them know in no uncertain terms how you feel, and make sure they know you vote. Don't put your rights as Amenrican citizens in the hands of the NRA. All they want is your money.
Guess we can blame all the naive American idiots who voted for Obama when an if he and the Palosi possi try to take our guns away from law abiding citizens. More than likely he'll just take'em away from the ppl who didn't vote for him?! Just another Hitler carbon copy in the making.
if you are gona try to take my guns BETTER HOPE I DO NOT SEE YOU FIRST I AM FOR SELF AND OTHERS PROTECTION
ALWAYS KEEP AND BARE ARMS note: if you gota go get it it's too late
As the past president of the Gun Owners Of Vermont I and my organization have oposed HR45 since its inception. CALL YOUR CONGRASMEN AND TELL THEM TO OPOSE HR45. Its real and can happen.
Anybody see RED DAWN??? That's how they found out who to round up .. As long as my guns are used for my protection, it's only my business that I have them.. This government is gettin way too big for it's own good!!
well if they take the guns away from the good guys the bad guys will still steal them and shoot the unprotected good guys WAKE UP AMERICA!!! I have heard the cities with the most guns in them have the least amount of violence in them because the criminals are AFRAID if they screw up they WILL be shot!!!
phukkin ammo is costing as much as the guns if you wanna go shoot....lol, they will find a way to try to get us, but there is always a way to improvise.
Guy's...our Guns are safe. If you have done ANY research on HR45 you would know: 1) Introduced by Bobby Rush (D-IL). He was the Co-Founder of the Illinois Black Panther Party. He did 2 years himself - in prison for illegal gun possession. 2) THERE IS NO CO-SPONSORS – NONE. 3 The bill is in DIRECT violation of the second amendment.
I have been tracking it for months. No change since March...would surprise me if it goes anywhere and isn't the first time this has been tried. Updates on the bill can be found here.
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=h111-45
phuk them! I "lost" all my guns in a canoing accident... yep, the canoe tipped over and bloop they all sank to the bottom of some lake.... now what lake was that??? Or, did I sell them all at a yardsale?? hummmm.... no, wait.... I think I sold them to the Daytona PD on one of those moronic buyback programs. Got me a $50 pair of "kicks" for it, LOL.... stoopid assholes!
We are within our rights to defend ourselves in a life or death situation. This is a dangerous world and is not to be taken lightly. This world has gotten worse in dealing with troubles, strife...and crime. When it comes to protecting ourselves...We must do what we must do.
Damn I hate liberals. Would like to see how one of them would act if a violent crime was being committed against a family member and they were defenseless.
one of the only regrets i have in life is not going into military, my father fought in korea,he also died at 46 yrs, when i was young,im sure he would have guided me in that direction ..ive used and been around guns my whole life .im a member of kel tech university ./'/,' why doesnt anybody ever rob a courthouse theres thousands there///oh yea and gun ride safe be free bigal
ive been around guns my whole life,,either hunting, target practice or protecting my family rights.Lets not become another country that has given in and turned their guns in,,to only be fooled by the government and have no way to protect ourselves.Stand tall brothers and sisters,,its our right to Keep and Bear Arms!!!!
this has been a subject of contreversy for a long long time and I am sure all of you will agree with me the right to bare arms means just that.If they really force this issue it will be the beginning of a new revolutionary war for sure not that that is what I want but it will happen.take care my friends
They try and take the 2nd Amendment rights away saying they didn't know about automatic weapons. Their understanding of the 2nd Amendment was you could have ANY weapon. The Militia, which the Webster 2nd edition unabridged says "in the United States; all able bodied male citizens between 18 nnd 45 years old who are not already members of the regular armed forces", originally picked their officers by what weapons you could bring one cannon you're a captain, two cannon you're a colonel. They also knew if you were hit in the torso you were dead that day, if you were hit in the leg you probably had a couple of days and if you were hit in the arm you may have a couple of weeks. There were very few disable vets of the revolutionary times and most of those were sabre or bayonet wounds. Medical help was not much help.
When I was a kid, the had GUN CLUBS in the Jr and Sr High School. Kids brought guns to school and they were taken out to a firing range to shoot and to LEARN how to shoot. No one shot anybody at school in those days. Now you can't be within the school grounds with a gun and now there are shootings on a regular basis. If more women carried there would be fewer rapes.
They can have my Weapons when they PRY THEM FROM MY COLD DEAD FINGERS! They claim to worry about the Criminal element.. Just think about how many Criminals they will create if they OUTLAW GUNS! 'cause I'll be one of them!
If you don't stand for something, you will surely fall for anything. We are being distracted by the economy, 2 wars, and a host of other things while very important basic rights are being threatened. We are told foreign enemies are our biggest threat, and they are. However our own government with the likes of Obama, Biden, Polocy and the others are far more dangerous. If we do not stand together we will surely fall.
I remember being 14 years old, getting my first gun for Christmas.. My brother and I would walk through the neighborhood and across a field to shoot the guns into an irrigation canal.. NO ONE EVER felt threatened, called the police or got offended in any way.. Try that now and your whole family would pay for the rest of their lives..
The war against basic rights and the USA people, us, is well underway. If the guns (the rest of them) are taken we are no longer citizens...we become subjects (even worse than we are now)...for the most part we already are but that just means it's time to take back the country we gave our blood for from those sellouts who own it now...If we believe in being free again!
Got my first 22 child size at the age of 4. Strict rules from daddy. ( year military, 2 year law enforcement. When you see the raw, bare bones of my arm and hand, fingers still wrapped around the grip.... Then you can have it!!!
