There should be room for improvement. Keeping your profile private should be a choice but there should also be filters for hiding headers, pictures and your wall separately. Other that it's a great site socially for bikers who share a common interest in riding or for just getting together and a great escape from those daily challenges life has been throwing us all.

This is a great site! the only i reason i keep coming back is because IT IS FREE! I haven"t found mr.right,but i've met alot of cool people and rode with a few of them too. KEEP IT FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With Hen Peckers (two Finger Typer) like me Bon Need to give us MORT TIME BERORE THEY KICK US OFF. IF I TYPE 25-30 WORDS A MIN. THATS A FAST DAY FOR ME. SO PLEASE EXTEND OUR TIME ALOTTED!!!! and your ads... If it keeps BON FERR THEN KEEP THEM they don't interfear with viewing our pages or profiles. SO MAKE THE MONEY AND KEEP BON FREE!!!!!!

Geez People BON is a free site and I think you all need to stop this winning crap and just enjoy what you have, cause most things in life aren't free~!

BON will show all your friends online but it won't show all the status updates from the day...what about all the status' we miss while working?? lol

... BON sent out an E-mail today indicating that each of us can set up our individual profiles so that ONLY FRIENDS can view it ... WHAT's that all about?? ... I don't understand why anyone would have ONLY FRIENDS be able to view their profile ...

I agree with sonusmcsgt! As a combat veteran that served with the U.S. Marine Corps a page should be dedicated to all our fallen servicemen & women that have given EVERYTHING to let us ride free. Semper Fidelis

think all men killed over sea -should go to the top of the photo page-stay on for one wk--better yet why not have a page that is just for them(THEY GAVE ALL)

My only Pet Peeve is when people sign up to do a ride or go to an event and then do not show up.

BUT PLEASE FIX THE STATUS BAR...AND THE FACT THAT WHEN U GO TO REPLY TO A MESSAGE UR FIRST MESSAGE OF THE DAY APPEARS AT THE TOP, INSTEAD OF THE LAST, THEN U HAVE TO SCROLL DOWN TO THE BOTTOM TO SEE WHAT U LAST SAID TO THAT PERSON. Hey We Need a radio button to select all messages on a page with one click. it's a royal Pain in the A** to select each and every message to flag for delete. so guess what? 75 pages of old messages are going to just sit on your server. I get frustrated with the status bar because the chat and status are the same. I hate that my profile says the last thing I answered to a freind on it and ppl are like, huh?. Should be seperate. :) I also agree with the loading the pics, can only load about 10 at a time and takes a while. I also would like to be able to organize the pics by moving them around. I always have to remember to load last to first to keep them in order. (kinda like you we can with our top friends. :)) I think a built in calender on your edit page would be cool so you could keep track of all the stuff you signed up for at a glance and see what your doing. (like on your phone. :) All in all still a good site and has good features about it. :)

I like the new status bar, but the pictures drive me nuts. I dont like that you have to choose one picture at a time to upload and once uploaded you cant arrange albums or pics, plus the pics look distorted sometimes when the pic is not. Would also be nice to click on the pic to get to the next picture, instead of the next buttons.

Im liking it now, didn't at first. Don't do well with change! Does get confusing when people are chatting back & forth and they are not on your friends list. But I don't want to see them ALL... Oh hell no! Maybe make it so we can scan down farther to see our friend's comments. What about the wall? Alerting us just as you do with emails would be nice. I delete my wall down to under 50 because can't see past that anyways. Thanks!!

What IS annoying is people's comments to someone on THEIR friend list... which can't be connected to anything. So much is taken outta context. I think the whole fookin' BoN community should see everyone's. Yah, no, never mind. lmao

stlthm0de.. just use the little X near the person's comments and you will hide them. If you wanna unhide them, click 'edit hidden' on the bottom of your page. xoxoxO!

ok!well i did send bon a comment on the new status stuff,& they said alotta people requested it,although i didnt really like it,it's not all that bad now,lol....well,it lets u know what ur friends here on bon r up to and about the events and all,...i do like seeing who had signed up for my events when i post them & it gives me that option,only thing i think is it should not be used to pass essages or like a im,well thats my opinion....cuz we all have a right to out privacy!but its been okay for me,& ty for letting me in on this,magicman,....peace sistas & brothers...muahh

I haven't been on here long enough to be mad that the old whatever way was better than now, but i do have a couple suggestions (of course) the friends update status...should only be the last update (as Magic Man mentioned) If we had a template for Biker friendly bars, it would be easy to sort by location, just like searching for events or friends Adding a couple more tags on the profile page would be nice too, such as; willing and able to take a passenger or knowledgeable or bike service and willing to teach Anyways, it is a great site, already met a lot of great local people!

I like some of the new and prefer some of the old. I like having a home page better than an edit page. I don't mind ads or banners if it will keep this site "FREE". Right now I wish BON would get their act together and straighten out the issue with emails.

Having troubles with E-Mail ? ... Other than to give your friends an FYI - it does no good to mention it on your status updates --- (BON team won't read YOUR status) ... Take a moment and write 'em a note ...

I like it fine.. makes more sense to have it called the home page instead of "edit". Do wish there were a direct link to my rides and events tho..instead of a couple clicks but that's just me.

In BON'S best interest, keep it free!! The ad's are no big deal. BON will just be a nothing website if you want us to pay. Most will delete profiles and not come back. Honestly!! Please keep the old look, it allows us to see friends rides and events, not all the other comments. Which they are all to each his own. The new way takes up to much room and seems to repeat. I prefer the old way and look. Thanks and have a good day..

IF I wanted blogging (status line chatting), I can go join Twitter. I have deleted people on my friends list that blog on all the events, too. Takes up too much space on the edit page. I, also have notice, people not using the site so much, now; BUT that could be because the riding season here in Colorado is apond us. The banners are NO problem because I know that they pay to keep this site free, which by the way I am Thankful. It's your site. Ride safe, bro!

Oh....and the ads don't bother me....

PS....I wrote the administrators a few days ago and let them know how I feel.

I agree with Beemo...and is there any way to go back and read previous statuses that are no longer on the page after people post 15 messages and that's all you can read? Create a chat back and forth like Facebook page if that's what people want, and go back to the old page format! As for free....if it becomes a pay to join thing I'm out!

I really hate that people are using the status line for chatting!! Maddening, like having someone talking on a cell phone at the table next to you in a restaurant!

Keep BON free... I've clicked on a few that imterest me, so I kinda like the ads. Please don't start the "popups" UGH... they drive everyone crazy. I would like to see an increase in the view number of status posts. If one friend posts continually, then you can't see other friends posts. Am I explaining that correctly??

It's fine, I'm used to it now. But agree with showing a high number of top friends.

I am learning to like the new page but I didn't like the way it was thrown at us. In the beginning it was missing a few things that made me dislike it some. I dont mind the ads, hell I even use them for some things. What I think is needed is more choices in the search engines. Such as if we have put in married or complicated a single person should be able to chose single. Or if we are looking for someone who just wants riding partner then a choice there should be possible. I agree with others about the changes in status also. I dont need more than 5 changes. If they are my friends I will find out sooner or later. The status change helps but if if I didnt find out before 10 changes later Im not much of a friend.

If a single individual continually posts a new status message OVER-and-OVER-and-OVER-and-OVER again ... it eliminates the possiblility of seeing what our OTHER friends may have posted regarding THEIR status. Only a certain NUMBER of status updates are shown ... Consider changing the NUMBER shown --- as an example ... maybe the most recent 50? ... 75?

I'm getting used to it. I do like that I see me friends' status when they change it. Keeps me more in touch with them. The ad-free option I chose to use, as I have an autistic son who is, shall we say, titillated by some of the more "provocative" ads. But, I think it should be an OPTION . . . not a requirement. Let's keep it free! I can now sign on and not have to worry about some woman's (or man's, seen a few shots of those too) parts popping up. I agree with Sleepless. You should have a separate area (separate from top photos) for those that wish to view those kinda things. And yeah, the Snatch Patch would be a great name for it!

Have to agree with Sleepless..and it will take some getting used to...but I like that I can see who's online and what they're doing or who they are shouting out to...
For those that don't know....when this site was getting started the profile was all one page...they put the wall page up and nobody liked it at the time. But folks have gotten used to it and ... keep it free. Which is what they are trying to do... ;)

The new format takes some getting used to BUT at least it doesn't automatically open up to a page with spread eagle genitalia shots! (y'all can have a separate area for that and call it the "sn*tch patch"...okay?:):) :) Someone on here said the opening page is hard to follow. I agree...that is my only difficulty with it. It is almost like a running "chat" where a person joins a conversation of sorts, and has no idea who is responding to whom. As far as the ads: keep 'em, some folks use them and if it keeps us FREE....all the better :)!!!

I'm not liking that the Edit page is not showing who is online. It shows some of my friends, but not all of them. Can that get fixed please????

I've gotten used to the new format - its really no big deal to me but like w/some of the others - I don't understand the purpose of the IM if it doesn't work. From what i can tell - a person using it on the other end has to tell u they are sending it in order for u to know lol - so if someone doesn't tell me - i have no idea & 9 out 10 times - it won't connect anyway so again - whats the purpose if it doesn't work ?? :)

I signed up with this site because it was free. Keep it free. As for the new format, not really sure I love it. It's not bad in a facebook kind of way, but I agree with others that I'm feeling like I'm reading a book from the middle and reading every few pages. "...woo hoo, you're a nut" doesn't really tell me what my friend is talking about even though he or she and his or her other friend know what's going on. I'm not necessarily friends with all my friend's friends. I think that made sense.

It took awhile but now I like the edit page. Keep up the good work BON. Because of BON hundreds of people make friends every day. Hundreds more set up charity rides for great causes. It wouldn't be possible without the help of BON. Cheers BON! Your the best!

I like the new layout actually, but now if you could do something about the Im..(mine or anyone I knows has never worked).it would be great! As far as the ads..I dont mind em...have found alot of cool stuff/info on here:-)

I want to be able to read my status comments that I post like others as they are changed - IF it's gunna be like a newsfeed. . . I wish you could have more "Top Friends" or at least choose how many we can have - like myspace does it. . I'd like to be able to send ONE message to others within a group I'm a part of - not just the "group owner" have that ability. .

Why the hell would I want to start paying to use this site when there are others that are free?? Change to some things are fine, some arent, but Im damn sure not paying to use this thing.

I liked it the way it was!!! Showing every time someone changes their status drastically distracts from the benefit of seeing what rides and events are currently popular with friends. I DO want to be able to send 1 message to ALL my friends, AND send ride/event invites to friends list!

Banner pages are OK; Just so long as it keeps the site free. I've written to Admin about my thoughts on the new page- Too "Facebook" like...Nobody better Poke me! :-)

I say keep BON free after all most of us here love it so much that we buy the BON patches ,Banners and so on so we are putting money in the site just doing as we can and as we want ..and as for the edit page i didnt not like it at all to start with but i guess its ok ...just keep the site free ....

if keeping the ads means it stays free, i dont care i never look at the ads anyways, but i joined this site becuz it was free and offered so much. and the old format for signing in was much better, its too busy now, change it back and leave it all the way it was, if its broke dont fix it!

It sucks, if they would just put back the status bar the way it was and leave that thing so we can chat and not have to individually email it would be cool. but it's to dam confusing the way it is now.

I don't like the new format at all! I hate seeing what everyone has been doing, and when. It is no one's business but our own. It reminds me of Facebook, and if we wanted something like Facebook, we would all be on Facebook. Don't like it at all. I don't read the ads because I don't like them. I tune out of commercials on TV and I've just trained myself never to pay attention to the peripheral crap. But, if I had a choice, it would be NO ADS, obviously.

The old 'sign in' page allowed for us to be made aware of RIDES, EVENTS etc. by VIEWING what those on our friends list 'clicked on' to attend. That was a GREAT feature, in that, it 'spread the word' quickly regarding an interesting ride or event. ... Thus far, I haven't seen that - I've only noticed if someone on my friends list 'MAKES A COMMENT' about a ride / event etc. ... Any chance that BON ADMIN can include BOTH messaging features? ... (attending and comments?) ... That'd be the BEST of both! (The old and the new!)

Keep it free..Let the advertisers pay. Once we start paying the fee might increase over time and members might decrease.

I have no problem with the ads either. in fact i have checked some of them out and will do so in the future. if i have a vote in this,i vote KEEP THIS SITE FREE!!

The ads are no problem, some are helpful, and none are in the way. A very small price to pay to have a free site on which I have made so many friends and really enjoy the networking. Please keep it free...

that is why we are here because we can keep in contact, learn about rides and it doesn't cost us to do that. Take that away and your events and rides will become short on participation. Is that really what you are wanting. Face the facts this site brings many out to join in the good things, and we keep in contact with one and another. So keep it free and you won't burn the one that feeds you!

HELLOOOO?! We are in a recession! It's was bad enough a few years ago that our companies were going to other countries, but now they are just going and a lot of us have lost our jobs! The typical business models for a site such as this is that there will always be a free option offered. Currently BON has only the top page banner adds and they are very easily disregarded. But soon they will probably offer an add free membership option for a fee. As time goes by, the free users will probably lose some functionality (such as html posting maybe) and gradually the advertising will become more and more intrusive (Pop-up ads, advertising inserted in blog, forum, ride and event comment spaces, etc...) Those that can stand the reduced services and increased ads will remain free, those that want the cleaner experience will pay for it.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, CHANGE THIS WEBSITE! I DON'T EVEN PAY ATTENTION TO THE BANNERS AND IF I NEED SOMETHING, THEN I WOULD USE THE BANNERS AS I HAVE DONE BEFORE.

Personally, I really haven't given any notice to the ads anyways and doesn't bother me at all. Besides, I've mentioned to many friends about BON being like a "myspace" for bikers.... if BON becomes a payed site.... I will leave and we could always meet up on myspace..... though, maybe then myspace may need to get a more "adult" section for all our biker pics we keep posting lol

I think they are just trying to come up with different avenues to generate money to keep the site free and please their membership. For example, if you want to have your picture on the home page, pay and it will be there for a set amount of time. If the banners bother you, you can pay to get rid of them. They need their sponsors to keep the site free. We need to look at the banners so it does stay free. I believe that you have to have so many "hits"'

The "Pay Thing" was a OPTION for people, as i read it. If you don't like the banner ads, you pay to be ad free. Otherwise it is a free site and you see ads. ????????? I didn't see a deadline to sign up or you're off, did I miss that? I think the OPTION was more like BON looking for some $$$ from people who can help out keep the rest of the site free for most, like a donation thing. Solving a situation they have been seeing emails about, people not liking the ads. I have been invloved in too many sites where people bitch about banner ads all the time to Admins. LETS KEEP IT FREE!!! This is a great site for people to find new friends, rides and other great events. I have no problem with a little advertisement, the banners also help promote business and with the economy the way it is now they need all the help they can get.

This is a great networking site. I check in to find out what events are coming up so I can meet ya'll in the flesh. You know, the way we did it in the old days. I get lotsa "friend requests" from folks trying to sell me something. Maybe they need to snag and ad and help pay. I don't mind them soliciting, I don't pay to be here.Keep it free and we'll have that many more eyes on the ads. It's win/win to keep it free

The Banner Adds aren't a problem. They pay for the site, and as long as the site is free more people will join. As more people join, more companies will advertise, thus more $ for BoN. I think to charge for membership will eventually doom the site; it's a good site, keep it free, don't get greedy & ruin a good thing for everyone!

To be perfectly honest with ya. Ive been sent messages, friend requests and everything else from members who actually advertise there offerings. Concert promoters, parts dealers, insurance companies. All wanting to be your friend. Sounds like to me that commercialization started long ago of this site. Ads will help pay for site. But if you wanna grow and become more useful to the biking community, paid subs will take care of those costs. I utilize this site to find out about events/rides and speak with a couple friends. If I want to mingle and meet peeps, Ill jump on bike and do it the old fashioned way.

I've said it before, when they started making people pay to have their pic on the front page, that I thought BON was gonna make a move to a fee-for-service website just like all the others. How many people are gonna drop off of BON (just like all the other sites we all quit on account of having to pay?). That is part of the beauty of BON. If they make us pay, it becomes just another one of "those" sites.

I pay attention to the banner ads except for the one about the Herpes dating site YUCK, and the inter-racial dating site. Those I don't care to see but to each their own........
