Mike had much better days on the 13th and 14th. Most all issues that were plaguing him were under reasonable control. The chemo ended yesterday. He is well rested and ready for the transplant. Kim's WBC Counts are marvelous. Normal average is about 8000. After injections to stimulate production she went to 36k, 44k and today is at 47K with 50k being the target. The harvest starts in 7hrs at 8am on the 15th. By early evening Mike will have received his transplant. After that we will just have to wait and see! Mike has tolerated this past week as well as he has due to excellent health care here at the Hershey Medical Center and the thousands of prayers being said by so many people from all over the world that we don't even know. Yes, all over the world! There is a United States Flag coming here that was flown over an air base in IRAQ in Mike's honor. How cool is that? The cards, some of them hand made, have been monumental in his level of tolerance of what has been going on this week. Please keep them coming... he has at least 6-8 weeks to go here! And the Challenge Coins... he didn't know what they were at first... but he learned about them and he is very honored to receive them. I have sat by his bedside for at least 18hrs everyday. His wife does not leave the room. We all are overwhelmed by the response, the prayers and the love that has been flowing in. Words are not enough but all I have... Thank you all so, so much! Love, peace and respect to all of you... Please be safe!

First five days went pretty well... some minor issues but today was a hell day. The chemo changed today and within 2hrs of the change he was down and sick. Bad vomiting, migraine headache, aches, pains, dizziness, etc... Kim is getting her shots now too so she will mass produce marrow. She is starting to hurt in her big bones and has a headache too. One more big super dose of chemo tomorrow, day of rest on Wednesday and they will harvest from Kim at 8am on Thursday. That will take five hours. Later that day after getting a cell count they will do the transplant. The room gets set up like a small ER and they start the infusion. Anything at that point can happen. Last night we had a head shaving party. I did Mike's head and when I was done and thought I was going to clean up... Kim sat down and said to take hers off too! So I cut off her long brown hair and she is now bald too! Will post some pics when I get a chance! lol Oh, I tried to get the next three nurses that came in too but they ran like hell!

I will keep Mike in my prayers. We all have gone thru such trying times with relatives and friends.It is good to know that we reach out and comfort one another. May the great spirits keep you all strong for each other and positive energies greatly heal Mike. With great hope I send this...

Come Holy Spirit, anoint us with healing so deep it reaches back into our blood line; with healing so wide it impacts our friends and relatives; with healing so high it draws us into Your holiness

The power of prayer is amazing. I pray for you, Mike. Miracles do happen!
