If ever there was a time for a prayer to be heard.
And now is the time, to hear every word.
Now that our boys called soldiers have gone,
Please march with them and keep them strong.
Stand beside them if they have to fight,
And in the darkness be their light.
Don’t desert them, march in their faith,
So they’ll be here when the morning breaks.
Bring them home safe and sound,
Across the waters to peaceful ground.
Home to loved ones, mother’s wives, daughters, sons,
Bless them all, each and every one.
They stand for freedom and make our flag true,
These boys called soldiers for the red, white and blue.
A prayer for a soldier, please let it be heard,
And please Lord, hear every word.
A prayer for a soldier, with the job to be done,
Please bring them home, these soldiers your sons.
Please bring them home, the soldiers, your sons.
AMEN.

God Bless the USA and our Troops!!!

I was at the Atlanta airport waiting for my kid's plane to land. Everytime soldirs came off the escalator..people applauded....It really made me smile...Then when one lone soldier came up, a woman walked up to him...shook his hand and said "thank you for protecting us"...I almost cried...I was touched...We can never forget our soldiers...
On another website (in a UK group), I found raving and ranting about soldiers and why they're doing what they're doing. Bottomline was quite nasty and completely out of line. No difference made between politics and their choice to serve their country. I keep seeing a stark contrast between the support the troops have in the US and here in the UK. A group like the Patriot Riders would be treated quite suspicious here, or that's my take on it at least. Sad. We're not even British. But I wouldn't even dream to THINK some of the comments I saw this morning.
So THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for what each and everyone of you brave men and women are doing, wherever you are in the world, protecting the freedom so many take for granted. YOU WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN. EVER. THANK YOU.
Day in and day out our military is on duty for you and I. Our young men and women have to be dipolmatic, professional, and in control at all times and sometimes under intense pressure. Yet these men and women do it faithfully day in and day out. Does dumb shit go on? Sometimes. Does Joe complain from time to time? Only when its legitimate. God bless you for what you do and keep up the great work. Special prayers for the men and women of the 3rd Infantry Division, (Rock of the Marne), 4th Brigade Combat Team (Vanguard). Vashovelhead, where ever you are brother, my prayers are with you in your missions. Lead well my friend. CH(MAJ)USA, Retired
We are volunteer to fight for our country and make we sacrifices of all kinds, to which Im glad I did 22 yrs. Why is it that after you serve your time, whatever that is that the '2nd war' is with the VA. I understand BAM-BAM. God Bless our military!AMEN In GOD WE TRUST
Much thanks for all of your support. I served in 06-07. And I am still fighting with the VA. I call it my 2nd tour. I have all my brother and sisters in my prayers. IN GOD WE TRUST
Thank you for this page!!! GOD BLESS ALL OUR MEN AND WOMEN SERVING OUR COUNTRY!! We need to continue to honor, support & remember them! My son is getting ready to back to Iraq a 3rd time.
I just discovered this event, but I watched this video almost three years ago.It is and will remain an extraordinary tribute to our men and women who sacrifice so much for our nation. The fact that is was made by a fifteen year old gives me hope that the next generation are not all self absorbed Obama morons.God bless all of our men and women, who are currently serving our nation and God bless Lizzie Palmer[FlutieCutie]for creating this wonderful tribute. Here is another tribute video by FlutieCutie.
WoW.. I just watched the video. I have a very good friend who is in the Marines and is now in Afghanistan where there is heavy fighting going on. I have another friend who is being deployed later in the month. I love both of them very much and all who serve. To those who have loved ones that never come back I can't say I know how you feel and for God's sake I hope I never do. What I do know is that I miss Kevin very much and he is never far from my thoughts. My heart stops everytime there is news from Afghanistan I feel like I can't breathe until I hear from his Mother that he is safe. I got an email from him the other day and my heart smiled all day but now I'm back to the worry. I love my country and the men and women who serve it. Thank You:)
I THANK ALL THAT ARE SERVING & HAVE SERVED OUR COUNTRY
MY SON WAS ONE OF THE MANY THAT GAVE HIS LIFE SO WE COULD HAVE THE FREEDOM WE HAVE TODAY
GOD BLESS THEM ALL & BRING THEM HOME SAFE
angelwhispers .. so sorry to hear about your son getting ill. All for the sake of keeping the great USA safe. God bless him and all our military.
Will keep him in my prayers.
The heat over there is horrible. It took my son down. He was so very ill that when they put him in sick bay, he remembers nothing. They forgot to I.V. him and he dehydrated badly. He was there without fluids for three days and when they choppered him out and sent him to Kuwait he still had recollection. The next thing he says he remembers was waking in a tub of ice in Germany. He suffers horrible migraines to this day, besides other issues from being there. To this day we do not have any answers as to what made him so very sick and may never have those answers but the heat surely did not help the issues. How these men and women do all of their duties and with the gear that they have to carry and everything they have to wear boggles the mind. God Bless Them All..
I will Pray,,, Prayer request According to the weather reports, it is our understanding that it is 122 degrees in Iraq right now -- and the low will be 111! Our troops need our prayers for strength, endurance, and safety.. If it be God's will, give these men and women the strength they need to prevail. I am sorry, but I am not breaking this one.....Let us pray. Prayer chain for our Military..please don't break it... Please send this on after a short prayer. Prayer 'Lord, please hold our troops in your loving hands. Protect them as they protect us. Bless them and their families for the selfless acts they perform for us in our time of need. Amen.' Prayer Request: When you receive this, please stop for a moment and say a prayer for our troops around the world. Just send this to all the people in your address book. Do not let it stop with you, please. Of all the gifts you could give a Soldier, Sailor, Airman, Marine & others deployed in harm's way, Prayer is the very best one! "In God we Trust"

A great leader will never ask his troops to do what he/her has not done. A soldier observed a corporal urging and yeelling at his men to dig so they could place their defensive picketts. The solider asked the corporal what was the problem. The men were lazy and needed rebuke he said. The soldier simply got in the pit helped with the picketts and got back on his horse. The soldier GEN G. Washington. The corporal learned a vaulable lesson that day about leadership
This story and audio is my classmate. We graduated in '75 from Augusta Military Academy (no closed). A bunch of us (alumni/teachers) went to his promotion in Quantico to see him get his first star at 51 years old. The troops love him. He's one of those kind of guys that won't ask you to do what he hasn't done. The MArines who serve under him are in good hands!

I think this story is worth reading and absoulutely worth sharing.--------------
As I came out of the supermarket that sunny day, pushing my Cart of groceries towards my car, I saw an old man with the hood of his car up and a lady sitting inside the car, with the door open.
The old man was looking at the engine. I put my groceries away in my car and continued to watch the old gentleman from about twenty five feet away.
I saw a young man in his early twenties with a grocery bag in his arm, walking towards the old man. The old gentleman saw him coming too and took a few steps towards him. I saw the old gentleman point to his open hood and say something.
The young man put his grocery bag into what looked like a brand new Cadillac Escalade and then turn back to the old man and I heard him yell at the old gentleman saying, 'You shouldn't Even be allowed to drive a car at your age.' And then with a wave of his Hand, he got in his car and peeled rubber out of the parking lot.
I saw the old gentleman pull out his handkerchief and mop his brow as he went back to his car and again looked at the engine.
He then went to his wife and spoke with her and appeared to tell her it would be okay. I had seen enough and I approached the old man. He saw me coming and stood straight and as I got near him I said, 'Looks like you're having a problem.'
He smiled sheepishly and quietly nodded his head.
I looked Under the hood myself and knew that whatever the problem was, it was beyond me. Looking around I saw a gas station up the road and told the old man that I would be right back.
I drove to the station and went inside and saw three attendants working on cars. I approached one of them and related the problem the old man had with his car and offered to pay them if they could follow me back down and help him.
The old man had pushed the heavy car under the shade of a tree and appeared to be comforting his wife. When he saw us he straightened up and thanked me for my help. As the mechanics diagnosed the problem (overheated Engine) I spoke with the old gentleman.
When I shook hands with him earlier, he had noticed my Marine Corps ring and had commented about it, telling me that he had been a Marine too. I nodded and asked the usual question, 'What outfit did you serve with?'
He had mentioned that he served with the first Marine Division at Tarawa, Saipan, Iwo Jima and Guadalcanal . He had hit all the big ones and retired from the Corps after the war was over.
As we Talked we heard the car engine come on and saw the mechanics lower the Hood. They came over to us as the old man reached for his wallet, but was stopped by me and I told him I would just put the bill on my AAA card.
He still reached for the wallet and handed me a card that I Assumed had his name and address on it and I stuck it in my pocket...
We all Shook hands all around again and I said my goodbye's to his wife.
I then told the two mechanics that I would follow them back up to the station. Once at th e station I told them that they had Interrupted their own jobs to come along with me and help the old man. I said I wanted to pay for the help, but they refused to charge me.
One of them pulled out a card from his pocket looking exactly like the card the old man had given to me. Both of the men told me then, that they were Marine Corps Reserves. Once again we shook hands all around and as I was leaving, one of them told me I should look at the card the old man had given to me. I said I Would and drove off.
For some reason I had gone about two blocks when I pulled over and took the card out of my pocket and looked at it for a long, long time.
The Name of the old gentleman was on the card in golden leaf and under his Name....... ‘Congressional Medal of Honor Society.'
I sat there motionless looking at the card and reading It over and over. I looked up from the card and smiled to no one but myself and marveled that on this day, four Marines had all come together because one of us needed help.
He was an old man all right, but it felt good to have
