Redd is one of my best friends and has been for years. I'm a former member of SHC and I have to tell you, I am very touched and moved by the wonderful group of ladies representing SHC today. Their activities in honoring Katelynn Stinnett has moved people around the world. I'm in Germany, and their heroic efforts are touching lives here as well. However, this event has been extremely traumatic for these heroes. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they wage their war on child abuse and child predators. It's rare to find ONE person willing to step up to take action to make a difference in the world, but with SHC, there is an entire group of amazing women dedicated to reaching out. They truely are an ELITE group of women. I'm humbled by their efforts and in awe of their dedication to make a difference in my world. There aren't words to express my thankfulness for heroes such as these. Thank you SHC!

Oh and one more thing the County Attorney said another task we needed to do was to compare what penalties the SOB would have received had lil Katelynn lived with what he has now been charged with and set our goals above that.

Wanted to let ya gals know what I have found out so far. Still no call back from reps. but I did talk to the County Attorney who gave me this website www.lrc.ky.gov to go to get the current laws on child abuse. He said the first step we need to take is to find out the current laws. He said that by using info drawn from this website, the legislators will take more heed in our goal, as this is the legislators website. He said the next step we needed to do, if possible, is to get testimonials from victims of abuse, then draft a proposal for stiffer penalties and meet with a legislators for presentation. He said we would have to have our ducks in a row and be very convincing that stiffer laws be imposed. Duh!!!! I told him everyone already knew that, that's a given. After that point, the legislator would then write the bill to be presented in Frankfort. My boss at the Chamber Office is good friends with a lady State Senator. When I explained to my boss SHC intentions, she suggested her and said she could put us in contact with her. She is a mother and I think she would be a good one to approach with this. That's all I have found out so far, but still working on it!!!!
