lloks like everyone survived and made it home safelt for another week of work damn hate that 4 letter word lol,great time hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did see everyone in 356 days lol of course there are other events coming up too.region 6 is having a fall bash on the 11th and 12th of september at the boogie grounds.region 6 also has the putnam county blood drive which I am being told is going to be a big event.check your monthly motorcycle magazine for schedule or contact region director or county reps for info.

Tony to each his own...that is what the Boogie is all about....every form of people should be there, whether it is trailers, tourist and pretenders(as you call them) however, we don't want disrepectful ones...everyone has their own opinions, attitudes and be allowed to express them and I think that is what the boogie is all about and I think that there is room for all there (at least what I hear) This is just the time and place for people to let loose and have fun and enjoy everyone...

Tony = this will be my 19th Boogie. Boogie has changed a bit but back then it was still about the PARTY & the bikes and babes. But it was BIKERS that were the attendees. For a while there at the old property we were getting a lot of non biker types and things were getting crazy. I am not sure if true bikers were coming home and showing the guys at work the photos and then non biker types started saying ohhh look at all the boobies I want to go. Or what. But true bikers know how to behave. We generally have respect. We know that you can ask for tits but not grab them. We know that you can watch from the side of the road, not jump out there and stand in front of a guys ride so that your buddy can grope his old ladys boobs. We know that it would be most out of line to touch another guys bike or to lean on it. We respect the stuff and coolers of other brothers, just ask they will most likely offer the shirt off there back for a brother. Then "they" came along and just acted like they could be disrespectful to others. Some were yuppies, some were young collage student types but what they were not is BIKERS. So things got insane and security had a hell of a time. People got hurt. So ABATE was forced to put in more rules. that old saying one fucks it up for the others. Now there is a no glass bottle rule. After all these years and I am going to guess that something happened and so the board says fine no more glass. We can get fucked up, we can party our asses off, we can ride our bikes nude but we need to have respect and common seance. I encourage everyone to pick up the new Hoosier Motorcyclist and read Jay Jackson's letter. It is good advice. Lets go have some fun. See old friends, Make new ones, and have one hell of a good time. I think now a days we have weeded out most of the folks that don't have the biker mentality and are getting back to the brotherhood. And as far as the trailers go... shit... I am packing a tent but I am getting older and have had the trailer experience and I must say it was nice. lol

Been there at Boogie & all three times were a blast. Anything & everything goes. Just do what makes you feel good & you will have a great time.

Hey everyone,as some of you know I have been working 2 jobs and not been on here much.I'm finally done with the side job I was doing and I can catch up.I think we should do the M&G on Saturday at the Reg.4 Shelter also known as The Boogie Dome.For those of you not familar with the location it is at the bottom of the BIG hill by the rodeo area.Just ask and someone will point you in the right direction.I'm thinking 1 in the afternoon is a good time.As far as helping out with the M&G I would love it Sugr and Blondie,but there isn't alot to do but get people down there and show em where the bar is.Hopefully they will have the bar set up down there like they did last year. So it is OFFICIAL the M&G is Saturday at 1pm in the Reg.4 Shelter.Ant questions please feel free to message me or Sugr or Blondie and we can get you there.Well I hope they know where it is since I haven't officially told them yet.....LOL. They are sista's so they will figure it out or get ahold of me.So in 23 days i will be on the property and 25 days till the M&G.......Boogie on and a safe trip to the property........Carla

I need to get this Meet and Greet put together,as far as I know no one else has done it yet.Message me with details of when and where you all want to have it.I have the OK with Region 4 for it at The Boogie Dome in Region 4 area.Now all I need to know is do you want Friday or Saturday?????

The Region 2 area ( if you want to hang with people you might know from home. ) is at the bottom of the hill to the left. They have a shelter down there now. but again you can camp about anywhere.

Thank you for the info also Hot Shots...I believe I am in Region 2(Lake) at least my card says lake 02...I will have to read my magazine for more info (I know I am bad for not keeping up and I want to enjoy the Boogie!!!) Shame on me...also I would like to make it up to my friend who felt I slighted his bike so we will probably share a spot and there will be two BIKES to park....Is that better my friend?

Getting closer till my pre Boogie vacation and the work I love.... BOOGIE... Irish, Dont worry. The only camping that needs a reservation is if you have a motorhome and want a prime spot. If you are tent camping it is just come as you are and pick a spot. You are going to love it. And Rob... I think you made the good choice. Come to the Boogie and you will never want to miss one again. Cant wait. Region 11 had there clean up day and all is ready back there. Region 6 has one coming up and Region 4's is over 4th weekend. Check with your region director and make sure he / she knows that you want to come help. If you are working then the LCRP fee is waived but if you choose to bring any kind of 4 wheeler or dirt bike you will have to pay the LCRP fee. I dont think it is much might be like $5. I will be posting photos soon of Region 11's clean up day on my profile.

Go to a meeting, talk to just about any active member for an app. There is one on the back page of every magazine and you can do it online or by calling 1-800-23-abate yes save $10 by doing it before July. If she sends in the one from the Mag put your name on it as the recruter and you will get a patch for your jacket. You are going to have the time of your life.

Jen's dad passed away from cancer a few months ago, his Harley was in pieces on the front porch and Jen and I were gonna put it together for her to ride to the Boogie this year. Someone stole it off the porch! She is pretty broken up about it! Hope Karma works this time!

Yes you can bring any one you want BUT they will have to be a member of a approved Motorcycle Rights Org. You can find this list on the ABATE web site. If they are not a member they will be able to sign up at the gate for an ABATE membership.

well just wanted to thank all who showed up for the boogie grounds cleanup sat. was alot of work but alot of fun we have another cleanup day scheduled for june 20th and that is tentative will let you all know on a firm date and time.we have a nice big area cleaned up and just waiting for the tents am going to be keeping up with the weed eating andn such up until weds. before.

Hi you can camp in your van in the rv area left of the gate if you pay the rv fee ,i think it's around 75 bucks . thats what we do . we like it there .

Melissa there is a "parking area" and then camping areas, and you will not be able to drive your van to any site and camp in it. There is a no 4 wheel vech past this point sign. We do have what I like to call Monkey Wagons. They are traveling around and taking people and there stuff to the areas they want to be. So once you park you can load your stuff on to the wagon and when you want them to stop you just tell them. There is an area to the left of the front gate that will let you park and camp but it is farther away from most of the action. You can call the person that handles all the vending for the boogie. His name is Mike Strode but I dont have his number right off. Call the State office at 1-800-23-ABATE. they can put you in touch. BUT that stuff fills fast ( sometimes a year in advance ) so he might get told not this year. I am not sure of the charge to vend you will have to ask him.

Another question for yall...my hubby is a tattoo artist. Can he set up at the Boogie?? He is certified. He doesn't have a profile on here with his work, but I have mine posted and he's done all of mine. Let me know cause that would be kick ass!

I think I'll just 86 the tent idea...I like the idea of sleeping in the van! Hell, all the seats come out and it's about as big as my bed; sounds comfy to me!! lol

We bought a big soft cooler at wal-mart that has an extendable handle so it can be rolled, I strapped it onto the sissy-bar and use it to haul drinks, and put blankets in the top compartment. It holds alot....just strop tent to the side of the sissy bar..

I'm in Johnson County...I live in Franklin. Now I'm trying to figure out how to get a tent and blankets and pillows and clothes on the bike! lol We just got bigger saddle bags but they aren't that big! Might have to drive the van down and just sleep in it.

The R11 area is just behind and to the left of the stage. Come on back. Several people have there permanent area back there but most of them will already be there because they are workers and the rest will have there spot roped off. but there still is room for more.

OH and party central is for me for sure but Hubby will not have much to do with it...he's not a party kind of person anymore. Soooo, I will most likely be seen hangin around with my single girlfriends actin all CRAZY! LOL

Yeah, I think I might just have to take a trip there...THANKS! I just got my ABATE membership in the mail yesterday and it says I'm in region 11 so I thought I had to stay in that area...and YES I have a lot of friends that go there; wish 1 of them had an air conditioned camper!!! lol

You are welcome in the "region 11" area but you can be anywhere you want. There are some spots that are more noisy then others. If you have a bike and will be riding around then distance is not an issue, or if you are good with riding the monkey bus's. but if you are walking then you might want to pick behind or around the big top area for the music and vending or down on the main drag for party central. Do you have any friends going? Some people dont know that you can go to LCRP any time. I think it is something like $5 a day to go ad ride dirt bikes or 4-wheelers. Region 11 is having a "work" weekend on May 30th to do some mowing and spraying and looking after the shelter. See if you can come down and look around. then you can kinda get the lay of the land before you get there. You are going to LOVE it. Once you go you will never want to miss a year.

I always loved the bottoms. It is a bit quieter down there so you can get away from the action for a bit. But the Region 11 area behind and to the left of the stage is really nice too. Great shelter and close to the action.

SO I'm looking forward to my first Boogie, my dad went every year and I had to work last year. The boogie was my Dad's last rally as he died the following week in a motorcycle accident. The day before he died he called me to say what a great time it was and I would have to see the pictures. We'll when I came home for the funeral I saw the pictures and was glad his last rally was with such a fun group of people. So this year I'm taking off work and riding down from Wisconsin to check it out. I'll look forward to seeing everyone there.

As the Coordinator for the Katelynn Stinnett Memorial Ride in Northern Indiana, which is completely separate from the one in Southern Indiana, I am so disappointed in the lengths some will go to discredit, disrupt or ruin an event. Whether it is an Abate event or a benefit, we should all be united and support one another in any type of event. For those of you who are guilty of this behavior, your b/s reflects bad on bikers as a whole. Isn't it bad enough that we have conflicts among different clubs let alone between citizens. everybody is all spread out. The different regions of ABATE kinda have areas but nothing is in stone. You can camp anywhere you want. Most of the Regions have a shelter area also. We had the Meet and Greet last year in the big shelter at the bottom of the hill what Region 4 calls the "Boogie Dome" I think it would be good to do that again. It is big and last year they had a bar set up down there.

I have heard the music line up for boogie. Not as stellar as some years but I will still be looking fwd to checking it out and photographing someone new.

make sure you come to the stage after dark on Thursday Friday and Saturday to check out the slide show on the big screen. Thursday and Friday will be 2008 photos and Saturday night will be 2009 photos. I have the slide show on dvd also to purchase. $25 it has about 800 photos on it set to music.

The BOOGIE kicks ass! Have been roughin it in the bottoms for a few years now, but it's a great time. We'll be all over the place...I usually end up naked at some point. Will start going down in May, will be there on July 4th w/e. HEY CARLA, you can camp with us, we'll be up in the woods.

Thanks for the advice on the fishing pond. The more I hear about the Boogie it sounds like it is going to be very interesting!!!! Gravity has set in on me so being topless is not an option for me. My main worry is that I might want to ride my bike when I am intoxicated and that would be bad, so I will have to maintain somewhat but I still plan to party and have fun and escape life for a couple of days.
