Introduction:
Hi
My name is Fred. I am a total bike nut. I love unmotorized bikes also. I am into recumbent bikes
The Blues is mostly my kind of music as well as classic rock. I am always ready to hear different kinds though.
The Waterfront Blues Festival in Portland Oregon is my absolute favorite event of the year. It's always 4 or 5 days revolving around the 4th of July. Perfect time to get out,ride and enjoy some great music.
I love to travel, by bike of course and enjoy long distance riding. I rode to Las Vegas last summer to see a guy I grew up with. About 1000 miles one way. Some people travel much more, but I had a ball.
The summer is my time of the year. I'm very much an outside person. I live in the country and don't think I could live anywhere else. The wildlife, I never get tired of. Elk, eagles, hawks, I just love seeing them.
My motorcycle is a Yamaha V-Star 1100. I love the way it handles and plenty of power for two up riding.
I am a dimensional inspector and like my job, most of the time. They get a little bonkers with the overtime, but it's better than cutting back. That's for sure.
I love to read. I subscribe to 3 motorcycle magazines, 2 Blues mags and 3 gun mags. I also voluteer to read twice a week with a 2nd grade girl and a first grade boy at the local grammar school.It's very fulfilling watching them progress.
I do like to shoot handguns although I'm too soft hearted to hunt. I don't have anything against hunters, as long as they obey the law.
I've been all over the place, thanks to being in the service. I was in for 9 years.
I have lived here in Central Oregon for 9 years now. that's the longest place I have lived since I was 18. Couldn't pick a prettier place.
I live in my own house with my two dachseys and one cat. Pretty mellow life. Hope to find a neat woman sometime to share life with. I just need to be good friends first.
Will probably think of more to say later, but this will have to do for now.
