I ride, and would like to network with others around USA, Canada, and Mexico who ride.
I am interested in long distance touring, and hope to be free to ride around North America starting Spring 2009.
Although I am not a mechanic, I often have no choice but to play one in my garage.
I am always grateful for assistance if it is some procedure that needs more than my experience and knowledge,
or a better shop or tools than I have.
I had so many old totally rat British bikes in my early years
that it was just survival that made it necessary to learn to patch 'em back together if I was going to ride.
I used to be called Norton Patty, from an old Norton vertical twin
I rode the hell out for years, and with lotsa help,
rebuilt a few times in my living room in San Francisco.

Starting next year, I intend to spend all of my time riding everywhere I can get to, while taking photographs of everything along the way.

I'd love to jam some blues here and there as I travel, and will take a guitar. I was a bass player, but that is just not practical as a solo traveling instrument, so am trying to transfer all of that to guitar. I have been sharing mutually enjoyed MP3s with a few other bikers, and hope to do that with more of you. I am just getting to MP3 collecting, so I would appreciate getting any MP3 files you have emailed to me, especially motorcycle tunes and blues, metal, jazz, whatever you like I wanna hear it. My collection is largely jazz and would appreciate help expanding it.

The above taken high in Northern Arizona, riding over those mountains to Southern Utah, then on down to Las Vegas, Nevada, across the Mojave in California, over Tehachapi Pass, and back home to the San Francisco Bay on, a ten day solo ride in October of 2007. If you actually like to get out on those long highways and ride, and love music, I would like to be your friend.

I can feel joy about the good and beautiful, while making the effort to change things to make a better future for our children.

It is very exciting to find so many strong, courageous, and capable women who actually ride their own motorcycles on this site. I hope to become friends with them, and with their husbands, partners, and families, and perhaps meet in my future travels. As I discover them I will invite them to be friends in hopes of developing a real friendship in the future. That takes time, but I will work at it with sincerity. In years past I have felt very alone as a woman in a mostly male world of riding motorcycles. I am very happy to see a lot more women riding their own bikes. I would like to see a forum including men and women who are supportive of women in motorcycling.
I'd like to see the day when there are as many women riding as there are women who do want to ride and maintain their own motorcycles. How awesome would that be?



I'd like someday to ride around the USA next to someone who plays guitar or other instrument, and loves the blues, rock, and country, and would enjoy playing and writing original songs about motorcycling. That would be an awesome elusive dream come true.

My one and only TRUE love for decades, but I have added the 1976 Shovelhead because it has front and rear disc brakes, and an electric starter to cater to my damaged knees. I am working on more upgrades and restorations for the 1966, but decided to add another shovel, in spite of all the peer group pressure to get a "newer more dependable" model. Yeah, well, that is not the the way love works, I LOVE shovelheads. Those new things just don't inspire like a shovelhead...

I've decided front& rear disc brakes, working speedometer, horn, an electric starter are some things I am going have for a change. Eventually I'll add those to '66, but this '76 sang to me! I'll trade the top of the front end from the '66. Need more carry capacity to live on it and travel. This sweet shovelhead called to me deep in the depths of my soul, and I disregarded advice to buy a 'dependable newer' model.
