Introduction:
Hello,

Friendship is a rare and precious thing, and I count my friends on one hand. There's always room for more, but that's a long process. Here's my effort at a beginning. It's up to you from this point on.

I'm Kevin. I'm 50, divorced, 6'3'', 210, brown/blue with some silver in the ponytail. Lots of silver in the beard. I spent some time in the Navy, and I've turned wrenches at a couple of independent Harley shops around the country. I was lucky enough to work as a motorcycle test fleet mechanic, and even did the “my own bike shop” thing. I spent a few wonderful years as a test rider and if you can't tell, my passion is Harley. I stay pretty busy during the week, and I generally want to take the time to breathe on Sunday. I know, I know... All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. They say that life's what you make it though, and one of these days I'll reach a few personal goals and slow down... For now, I work hard, and I ride hard.

Clementine is my '07 dresser. I bought her to ride not look at, and I do that. She's comfortable and she handles pretty well. About like a Ballerina with some ass, I think. Her 103 makes enough power to be really fun when I twist her wick, and she gets washed every time it rains.

I've owned one or two Harleys over the years. Of those, my '81 Shovel has been "the" keeper for a long-long time now. The old girl was showroom stock when I got her, but thanks to her presence through my personal evolution as Dr. Frankenstein, only her bare cases and head castings are original. Everything else has been changed. (At "least" once...) She's earned a major overhaul, again... and she's been in surgery for awhile this time. She's coming back to life as a T-T(Tavern to Tavern) Rigid that will be as old school, high tech, and simple as I can make her. I'm using an old Tim Conder sketch for her basic idea and design, but I'm making a few changes to suit me. Frame stretch is a big issue, as at 6'3" I feel like a monkey fucking a football riding a short bobber. I've got to make the bike fit me. I've got some stretched 5 gallon fat bobs to work with a longer frame. The fat tanks will help balance out the fat rear tire, and I like the 5 gallon idea as I really hate stopping for fuel every 20 minutes anyway. Hell, some of those Taverns I visit are a few hundred miles apart! This is taking awhile as it's on my dime and I won't buy bargain shit to use, but she'll be well worth it in the long run. Just a day at a time.

Riding my motorcycle allows me to think, and helps me remember how to feel. I find that riding provides me with a sense of freedom, control and awareness all at the same time. In that un-insulated world, my senses kick into the High Alert mode. All six operate in overdrive and magnify all the sights, sounds, smells and sensations I perceive tenfold! I ride everyday. It's like breathing. I just do it. Basic daily transportation for most folks involves 4 wheels. Mine involves two. I have adapted with age a little, and now I do have a truck as a backup. (The Doctor says I'm getting better!)

My Rottweiler "Baby" provides me with unconditional love and doesn't wish to own me in return. He keeps me in touch with the fact that I have a heart. His presence in my life ensures that I'll make the time to show compassion and caring even if I don't want to. Feeling those things and sharing those things with even a lowly "dog" are one of the requirements of belonging to the human race. If I didn't, I do believe that I have the potential within me to become like him... An Animal.

I don't really "date", as I'm well beyond the looking for love stage. That said, I do greatly appreciate an intelligent, adult, female companion occasionally to talk with and share an experience or two with. It helps keep me grounded, and reminds me that life is not all bad. Besides, I do "Love" the company of a woman! As far as finding that "right" person, I guess we'll have to keep on poking around in the dark. We just might get lucky and see a spark someday! If I do happen to walk into "her" I'll be a very happy man, but if I don't I'll still be fine. In the meantime, I never really sleep alone. No matter where or when, there are three very good people that I'm with each night: Me, Myself, and I. I happen to like that company.

Nice to meetcha'!
Kev

Her name is Clementine. She's my mule, and I thrash her daily. 103 Inches and some little internal mods. She does well.
  1981 Harley-Davidson Shovelhead Custom
Concept art by Tim Conder. I'll try to stay close, but my riding style dictates a few changes. Her name is "Enigma".
