Introduction:
If we have many of the same interests and I seem like someone you'd like to hang out with for some laughs, by all means, let's have a conversation! But seriously, if your interests are anything other than friendship and/or riding I'm not your gal.
There seems to be this concept that if you have a high number of folks on your "friends list" you are trying to be part of a popularity contest. What's up with that? What is a high number anyway? Mine grows just about daily but, so what; every time I leave the house the number of folks I come into contact with grows as well. I don't know why folks wanted on there, I know why I added the ones that I requested here - I knew them! Ya know how I know some of them? Because once upon a time they were part of a large number of folks on a friends list. I guess I'd like to think that I seem like a decent enough gal that some folks said to themselves as they clicked that shiney red add friends button - wow, I think you're a pretty cool fish, lets be part of each other's people aquarium! That's alright by me, it's a big pond, I'm a people watcher and a lover of travel, and every now and again I've managed to hook up with some pretty cool fish from all over the world.
I can live with that. :) And it is MY aquarium, right?
A few of my favorite things:
facial hair - to fetish proportions ... actions not words ... laughing uncontrollably ... the entire experience of my children laughing ... road trips ... kinbaku ... evading high speed pursuit ... the moment your senses realize spring has arrived ... my job ... the beach ... the mountains ... butterflies in the tummy ... butterflies in the air ... butterflies in the rain forest (and yes I've been there) ... sweet tea ... writing ... tequila shots ... Eeyore ... teddy bears (especially Boyd's Bears) ... acts of kindness ... sincerity ... fresh picked strawberries ... Godiva chocolate dipped strawberries ... sprinkling rain (especially on a hot dirt road in the summer) ... the smell of fresh cut grass - that drives me insane! ... making folks laugh ...
A few of my least favorite things:
hearing the words G.D. ... mosquitoes ... an itch you can't reach... false bravado ... veggies out of a can ... not being able to find the right word ... distance ... irrational rationalizations ... racism ... short men with Napoleonic complexes ... waiting in line ... a flat tire ... having to press 1 to continue in English .

Activities:
I love just about anything outdoors - even things you'd usually do indoors. I'll even bait my own fishing hook - well, unless it's that smelly catfish bait stuff, that stuff stinks to high heaven! I love camping and have spent quite a lot of time at Jordan Lake and Riders Roost (www.ridersroost.com) enjoying nature, good friends and family. I managed over 13,000 miles in the wind last year on an old bastard softail, but I don't really consider myself a biker - you probably wouldn't either and I've got not an ounce of problem with that. I'm a riding enthusiast; I love, yearn and crave the roar, the wind, and the release.

All my life I had been looking for something, and everywhere I turned someone tried to tell me what it was. I accepted their answers too, though they were often in contradiction and even self-contradictory. I was naïve. I was looking for myself and asking everyone except myself questions which I, and only I, could answer. It took me a long time and much painful boomeranging of my expectations to achieve a realization everyone else appears to have been born with: that I am nobody but myself. -- Ralph Ellison, "Battle Royal"
