Activities:
I seem to be too busy doing things to have time for activities... At the moment, I'm about two-thirds of the way refitting our kitchen - but the pace is quickening, honest!
|
Interests:
Walking, cooking, making things, music, films, books, photographs, drawing, dance, people, family - oh and bikes I suppose...
|
Favorite Music:
Miles Davis, Coltrane, Mingus, Jimmy Knepper's pretty interesting, Mozart, most Bach I've ever heard was wonderful, some Elgar, Verdi, some Wagner, Omara Portuondo, Cesaria Evora, Rachid Taha, The Who, Hendrix, Stones, early Fwood Mac, some of this, some of that ...

Favorite TV Shows:
Hmmm, that's a tough ojne - it's mostly rubbish! Som,e Brit stuff like Porridge and Open All Hours, some US stuff like the first (!) series of Nip Tuck and the first series of Sex and The City and Ally Mac, and Futurama and South Park of course!
|
Favorite Movies:
Well, long standing favourites include The Big Sleep, On The Waterfront, Three Colours Blue and Lawrence of Arabia. Then there's Leon and Apocalypse Now, Cabaret, Blade Runner, Betty Blue, Boys Don't Cry, Amy and Jaguar and both the Indian and the Korean Warrior. More recently, The Station Agent was touching and beautifully made... as was Flying Daggers and The Painted Veil... Oh, The Godfather 1 and 2, Magnolia. Blimey, this could go on a bit...
|
Favorite Books:
My reading is almost all professional interest - so it'd be pretty dull to put all of that here. Recently read One Man Caravan and am working my way through Road To Gobblers Knob
|
Favorite Quotes:
Normality is having the same psychosis as your neighbour...
Hale fellow, well met, all cold and wet

About Me:
Well, I have a bike and I don't have a car; I'm in my 50s now, have 2 children that I was single parent to and who are now grown, spent five years re-training to do what I do now and plan to work until I'm 85; I like an open fire, a walk in the country and a horse ride on the beach or on the mountains (or both!), and am glad to get on my bike most days.
