Introduction:
HOWDY !!
I live way out in a rural area and I'm just looking for a few local friends to ride with be they male, female, or couples as riding alone gets boring. I might consider a co-rider -IF- you understand we're talking "riding friends", and are -NOT- talking romance, sex, or a "relationship". I don't want your B/S, your drama, or your body, just your companionship on the road.
I've been on two wheels for over 50 years if you count my Cushman scooter days in High School. I'm not currently a patch holder but riding independent (Lone Wolf - No Club) however I strongly believe in old school respect toward all clubs and patch holders. I'm not into living or dressing to a "biker image", I don't require the clothing I wear or the bike I ride to define "who I am", I'm just into riding and enjoying it.
I'm usually riding one-up and often camping in nice weather but I can adapt to others habits or needs, within reasonable limits. I don't care what you do after the bikes are parked but if you drink while riding your bike I'll be riding a safe distance behind you rather than in the middle of the group. I really do love to ride and see new country, I have very little interest in sitting around a bar filled with smoke and too loud music watching everyone else get drunk.
I normally ride 20K to 24K miles each year, although gas prices are slowing me down this year. Even so I'm usually ready to "kick the tires and light the fires" at the slightest excuse for a ride. At the present time I'm riding a Gold Wing for serious touring, especially if pulling either trailer and a Road King for local or weekend rides.
I served my country in the U.S. Navy Submarine Service 1960-1966 Yep, I rode the really old diesel boats. We went down, we came back up, the rest was just a few little details.
Many photos of my bike and some of my travels are in albums at http://picasaweb.google.com/skooter42 Those will tell you a lot more about my interests and what I enjoy than anything I can write here.

2002 Honda Gold Wing The "Midnight Lady" because you can ride her from daylight to midnight. This is my super comfortable, sport touring, all weather, 1,000 miles a day bike for serious riding. I often tow cargo or camping trailers for road trips. |

2000 Honda Gold Wing One of the previous bike that made a lot of memories. Shown here in the canyon lands of Utah. I had planned on this being my last bike when I retired, then the GL1800 popped up with too good a deal to turn down. |

1998 Honda Valkyrie Tourer Memories of fun toys and fun times in the 90's. Nothing sounds quiet like a Valk with 6 drag pipes, a ride it like you stole it bike. But not all that great for serious ridng when you're doing 16 to 18 hours in the saddle day after day. So it got replaced by the 2000 GL1500.

1986 Honda goldwing The first Gold Wing after experiencing a couple of Harleys from the AMF days. It was a great bike for it's era. |

2003 Harley-Davidson 100th Anniversary Road King The "Blue Mule" is my slow and steady ride. This is my sunny day, 300 mile, cruise the local back roads bike. It's been kept bone stock because I don't try to impress anyone by what I ride and I had rather spend money on gas instead of chrome. |
