Introduction:
Hi im Ross!
I live in a small village on the very North coast of Scotland, 12 miles from John O' Groats & 115 miles North of Inverness.
Ive been biking for 30 years now & have owned around 29 bikes in that time.
I raced 400cc & 250cc class motocross at County/Club level for 7 seasons & have done the legendary Orkney 3 hour beach enduro twice! (Its a bit windy up there in November!)
I presently own a very rare Bright Orange 1979 Laverda Montjuic 500cc production racer which I keep at home & a not so rare 1994 Suzuki GSX600F Katana that I keep with a friend in Atlanta GA.
I lived in the Southern US for most of the 90's, in TX, GA, AL, CA, MD, FL etc.
In 1993 I rode from Atlanta to LA on a Yamaha XS650 in 5 days.
In 1995 I rode it back in via Wyoming & Indiana.
In 98' I rode the Katana from Atlanta to San Antonio to Northern Michigan to Ontario & back to GA via NY State etc.
Ive visited 34 States, all by bike, & Canada too, I plant to do all 50 by the time im 50!!!
I went to Daytona in 01' & 04' & plan to go again in 09'.
In my early US trips I camped in State parks each night, but in later years ive got a bit soft & I now stay in Motels!
For a car I drive a rare Black Alfa - Romeo 75 2.5 V6 Veloce, it was called the Milano in the US.

Activities:
Not much more than biking nowadays to be honest, my business keeps me very busy all year round, tho' I manage to do a few Scottish based bike rallys & get to Knockhill for the Superbikes, the BMF rally at Kelso & at least 1 trip a year to Orkney, usually for the County show or the St Magnus music festival.

Interests:
Apart from Motorbikes, I follow most types of motorsport, esp. F1, Moto GP, WTCC, WRCC, BTCC, The TT etc, I first went in 1971, then went every year from 1978-94 & again in 2004. I also like classic & exotic cars, ive owned cars as diverse as a 1966 Jaguar mk2 to a Morris Minor Van! I used to snow ski a lot, both in Scotland & Europe, I have bungee jumped in the IOM, done Scuba in Michigan, Snorkeled off Key Largo, Mountain biked, sailed, worked as a wrangler in Michigan & Texas, I also like DIY, house restoration & many other things!

About Me:
Im one of 5 siblings, all born in The Scottish Highlands to English parents who were from the Wirral part of Cheshire originally.
Ive travelled extensively in the US, Australia & Western Europe, tho' I have never ridden a bike or driven a car in Europe yet!
I own my own business which comprises of a light engineering workshop & retail shop, which is countryside related, its a family business, im 3rd generation & we have been going 51 years now.
Im 42 years old, 5'10" & about 12 stones, blue eyes & light brown hair.
I come from a close family, tho' we are spread out around the world now. I have a sister in Towson, Maryland, a brother in Mount Gambier, South Australia, a sister in Renfrewshire & a brother in Cricklewood, North London.
I also have relations in South Miami, Scarborough & Brockville Ontario & some in Vancouver & Whistler, BC, whom I have yet to meet. I visited my brother in Australia in 2000 & plan to go back again sometime. I would also like to visit New Zealand, Brazil, Scandanavia & Africa too.
