Introduction:
My name is Laura Corby and I'm the Founder/CEO of the Autism Solution Center, Inc. (ASC) in Tennessee.

I joined this group in hopes of finding individuals who might be willing to help me put together fundraising events like motorcycle runs, poker runs, etc.

Did you know AUTISM IS TREATABLE and the vast majority of individuals with autism spectrum disorders can become indistinguishable from their peers with appropriate, intensive, early intervention?

ASC provides ALL our services to individuals with autism spectrum disorders at NO COST, therefore we have to raise all the funding to run our programs, pay our physician, provide advocacy services, family supports, etc. We are working towards an international program, a St. Jude's for Autism, if you will, that has a center in every state within the U.S. as well as pursuing international centers that provide NO COST care to anyone in need.

I have Asperger's Syndrome & ADHD and I also have a daughter with Asperger's Syndrome, and a son with full-blown autism. We have all been appropriately treated and are recovered, or indistinguishable from our peers. That's why I work so hard for the center. I know the vast majority of these kids can recover with the right intervention, but there are VERY few people worldwide who are skilled in treating them.

Anyway, we are kind of like a St. Jude's for Autism, in that we provide all our services for FREE. That also means we have to raise all our funds through events and sponsorships, etc. I started the center about 5+ years ago because there was no help available for my kids. I did about 6 years of biomedical, educational, and therapeutic research to figure out what to do for them. Now that they are better, I have dedicated my life to doing this for anyone else in need. I truly feel like this is what God has called me to do and we are making such a significant difference in the lives of so many children, many of whom have completely recovered. VERY EXCITING!

My interest in this group was to see if some of you would help me put together some motorcycle runs to help raise funds. We are trying to open a center in every state within the U.S. to make sure help is available to anyone in need. We have a long way to go, but we're getting there one step at a time.

I have talked to many people in the past who have talked about how fantastic the motorcycle runs have been, both from a fun standpoint, as well as from the fundraising aspect. Since I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about this stuff, I'm hoping some of you will help me out and try to put together a national campaign that will stretch across the country.

Visit our website at www.autismsolutioncenter.org to learn more about what we do or to inquire about helping.

PLEASE CONSIDER HELPING. These kids can get better, but help is not available to most because it's so expensive and not covered by insurance. With epidemic rates of 1 in every 166 individuals with autism, we have to stand in the gap now for these kids.

If you would like to help, please email me at laura@autismsolutioncenter.com.

Thank you for your consideration and willingness to help!

Sincerely,
Laura Corby, Founder/CEO
