Introduction:
Here's what I think. . .

Introspection is a good thing. . . it allows us to take stock of our ourselves and our lives. More importantly, it allows us to identify things that we should change and those that we shouldn't. I've decided that some of my so called "flaws" are actually strengths. So I choose to embrace them. I am and will always be compassionate, driven, a voice for those who need one, and above all. . . just a bit quirky:) Those qualities get me in trouble, but I would rather stand behind what I believe than compromise my ethics because it makes life safer. In other words, screw living safe! If people can't accept that, then they can just stay away.

People use sites like this and others to avoid human interaction. It's easy to pretend to be someone you are not. Get a clue. . . friendships and relationships are real life. Sometimes they're messy, sometimes they hurt. You'll never know for sure unless you're willing to take a risk. Hiding behind a profile/persona on the internet may be safe, but it's not life.

Bottom line. . . be real, be honest, be responsible for yourself. . . take care of those who are important to you and be kind to this world that we are but briefly passing through. Put aside that which you can't control. . . pick your battles wisely. . . and just breathe! Whewwwwww. . .

Turn ons:
It takes a lot to intrigue me. Intelligence, integrity, humor, honesty, eyes that speak, touching and being touched and long slow kisses that make time stand still.
Turn offs:
People that see the world in black and white. . . there are too many shades of grey to miss out on the nuances of what life has to offer
Ideal:
Oh please! In a perfect world there would be someone who wants to know me. . . really know me. But it's not a perfect world so just be yourself.
Activities:
I work a lot but I'm making "me" a better person in my own eyes
Interests:
riding. . . laughing daily. . . cutting edge design and architecture. . . traveling. . .hot bikes. . . cool tats. . . a man who knows who he is and isn't afraid to just see what happens.
Favorite Music:
most everything, but not a huge fan of country
Favorite TV Shows:
more of a movie buff
Favorite Movies:
Too many to list, but the Coen Brothers, Quentin Tarantino are usually at the top of the list. Check out "Escanaba in da Moonlight" it explains my "yooper" upbringing
Favorite Books:
Read "Ishmael" for an eye opener
Favorite Quotes:
I owe it all to good genes and bad living"
"Same shit. . . different day"
"My glass ain't half full or half empty. . . it's cracked and leaking vodka"
About Me:
I'm a middle-aged woman and proud of it. The body may have some miles on it, but they're good miles. I'm a bike riding, design professor living with my 4-legged boys in a little crooked cabin in the mountains (at least for now). Deer, elk, hummingbirds and the occasional bear are my neighbors. At any given time I have close to 100 kids that think of me as "mom" :) I'm down to earth, passionate, amusing, insightful, creative, sensitive yet tough. I can take care of myself and am not looking to settle, but if the "right" someone comes along, I'm open to exploring the possibilities. If you think you're friend material, then hit me up. If you want to know more, then ask. If you're into playing games or racking up numbers, I've got news for you. . . run away now or be afraid. . . be very afraid.
