I have been divorced for 12 years, enduring long distance relations with my two daughters now 19 and 14. When the girls are in town, thats where I focus my total energy. So deal with it.
I enjoy the tinkering in the shop for hours on end or out riding the countryside on the chopper. Whenever the mood stikes. It's not an emergency unless it's on fire, flooding or bleeding!
