Creativity
(Or "creativeness")
Is a mental process involving the generation of new ideas or concepts, or new associations of the creative mind between existing ideas or concepts.
From a scientific point of view, the products of creative thought (sometimes referred to as divergent thought) are usually considered to have both originality and appropriateness.
An alternative, more everyday conception of creativity is that it is simply the act of making something new.
Although intuitively a simple phenomenon, it is in fact quite complex.
It has been studied from the perspectives of behavioral psychology, social psychology, psychometrics, cognitive science, artificial intelligence, philosophy, history, economics, design research, business, and management, among others.
The studies have covered everyday creativity, exceptional creativity and even artificial creativity.
Unlike many phenomena in science, there is no single, authoritative perspective or definition of creativity.
And unlike many phenomena in psychology, there is no standardized measurement technique.
Creativity has been attributed variously to divine intervention, cognitive processes, the social environment, personality traits, and chance ("accident", "serendipity").
It has been associated with genius, mental illness and humor.
Some say it is a trait we are born with; others say it can be taught with the application of simple techniques.
Although popularly associated with art and literature, it is also an essential part of innovation and invention and is important in professions such as business, economics, architecture, industrial design, science and engineering.
Despite, or perhaps because of, the ambiguity and multi-dimensional nature of creativity, entire industries have been spawned from the pursuit of creative ideas and the development of creativity techniques.
Art
Refers to a diverse range of human activities, creations, and expressions that are appealing or attractive to the senses or have some significance to the mind of an individual.
The word "art" may be used to cover all or any of the arts, including music, literature and other forms.
It is most often used to refer specifically to the visual arts, including media such as painting, sculpture, and printmaking.
However it can also be applied to forms of art that stimulate the other senses, such as music, an auditory art. Aesthetics is the branch of philosophy which considers art.
Traditionally the term art was used to refer to any skill or mastery, a concept which altered during the Romantic period, when art came to be seen as "a special faculty of the human mind to be classified with religion and science".
Generally art is a (product of) human activity, made with the intention of stimulating the human senses as well as the human mind; by transmitting emotions and/or ideas.
Beyond this description, there is no general agreed-upon definition of art.
Art is also able to illustrate abstract thought and its expressions can elicit previously hidden emotions in its audience.
The evaluation of art has become especially problematic since the 20th century.
Richard Wollheim distinguishes three approaches:
The Realist, whereby aesthetic quality is an absolute value independent of any human view;
The Objectivist, whereby it is also an absolute value, but is dependent on general human experience;
The Relativist position, whereby it is not an absolute value, but depends on, and varies with, the human experience of different humans.
An object may be characterized by the intentions, or lack thereof, of its creator, regardless of its apparent purpose.
A cup, which ostensibly can be used as a container, may be considered art if intended solely as an ornament, while a painting may be deemed craft if mass-produced.
Visual art is defined as the arrangement of colors, forms, or other elements "in a manner that affects the sense of beauty, specifically the production of the beautiful in a graphic or plastic medium".
The nature of art has been described by Wollheim as "one of the most elusive of the traditional problems of human culture".
It has been defined as a vehicle for the expression or communication of emotions and ideas, a means for exploring and appreciating formal elements for their own sake, and as mimesis or representation.
Leo Tolstoy identified art as a use of indirect means to communicate from one person to another.
Benedetto Croce and R.G. Collingwood advanced the idealist view that art expresses emotions, and that the work of art therefore essentially exists in the mind of the creator.
Art as form has its roots in the philosophy of Immanuel Kant, and was developed in the early twentieth century by Roger Fry and Clive Bell.
Art as mimesis or representation has deep roots in the philosophy of Aristotle.
Graphics
Are visual presentations on some surface, such as a wall, canvas, computer screen, paper, or stone to brand, inform, illustrate, or entertain.
Examples are photographs, drawings, Line Art, graphs, diagrams, typography, numbers, symbols, geometric designs, maps, engineering drawings, or other images.
Graphics often combine text, illustration, and color.
Graphic design may consist of the deliberate selection, creation, or arrangement of typography alone, as in a brochure, flier, poster, web site, or book without any other element.
Clarity or effective communication may be the objective, association with other cultural elements may be sought, or merely, the creation of a distinctive style.
Graphics can be functional or artistic.
The latter can be a recorded version, such as a photograph, or an interpretation by a scientist to highlight essential features, or an artist, in which case the distinction with imaginary graphics may become blurred.
Images
In common usage, an image or picture is an artifact, usually two-dimensional, that has a similar appearance to some subject—usually a physical object or a person.
Images may be two-dimensional, such as a photograph, screen display, and as well as a three-dimensional, such as a statue.
They may be captured by optical devices—such as cameras, mirrors, lenses, telescopes, microscopes, etc. and natural objects and phenomena, such as the human eye or water surfaces.
The word image is also used in the broader sense of any two-dimensional figure such as a map, a graph, a pie chart, or an abstract painting. In this wider sense, images can also be rendered manually, such as by drawing, painting, carving, rendered automatically by printing or computer graphics technology, or developed by a combination of methods, especially in a pseudo-photograph.
A volatile image is one that exists only for a short period of time.
This may be a reflection of an object by a mirror, a projection of a camera obscure, or a scene displayed on a cathode ray tube.
A fixed image, also called a hardcopy, is one that has been recorded on a material object, such as paper or textile.
A mental image exists in an individual's mind: something one remembers or imagines.
The subject of an image need not be real; it may be an abstract concept, such as a graph, function, or "imaginary" entity.
For example, Sigmund Freud claimed to have dreamt purely in aural-images of dialogues.
The development of synthetic acoustic technologies and the creation of sound art have led to a consideration of the possibilities of a sound-image made up of irreducible phonic substance beyond linguistic or musicological analysis.
A collection of non-volatile images providing an image changing with time is a film.
Photography
Is the process and art of recording pictures by means of capturing light on a light-sensitive medium, such as a film or electronic sensor.
Light patterns reflected or emitted from objects expose a sensitive silver halide based chemical or electronic medium during a timed exposure, usually through a photographic lens in a device known as a camera that also stores the resulting information chemically or electronically.
Photography has many uses for both business and pleasure.
It is often the basis of advertising and in fashion print.
Photography can also be viewed as a commercial and artistic endeavor.
The word "photography" comes from the French photographie which is based on the Greek word, (Phos) "light",
(graphis) "stylus", "paintbrush" or (graphê) "representation by means of lines" or "drawing", together meaning "drawing with light."
Traditionally, the product of photography has been called a photograph, commonly shortened to photo.

Thank you for the "Birthday Gift". Meaning your message to me here.
If the videos placed a tender feeling in your heart then...
I am happy that you were touched by the Lion Hug videos, and that they brought a smile and or tears to your face. If you had already seen the videos, then I hope they brought back the memory of Christian’s love and his respect for two loving humans.
We all need to be given love in one way or another in this world filled with so many unhappy things in great multitudes.
I spent my entire birthday staying home solo, and putting together the “Lion Hug” message with love and hugs from my heart.
I sent it out to over 800 individuals on B. O. N. who I consider to be my friends.
The idea that an animal which has no concept in a human capacity of any due gratitude toward another human for the love that individual (s) has shown in the way we all should, but unfortunately do not show in the highest of love toward all mankind, is completely mesmerizing to me.
I can only hope I would be able to be a loving human in the way those Lions
(& Lioness & *Pride*)
Were to the two gentlemen that had Christian in their lives for a period of his sweet life.
The fact that Christian had a complete recall of the two gentlemen and love in his heart for them is extremely over whelming for me.
The fact that you took the time to respond in writing to me and thanking me for the “Lion Hug” means the world to me, and with each response back that I have received has given my heart happiness, and a big smile on my face not to mention the best birthday present other than of course the fact Blake was able to leave the children’s hospital and return home. Thank you for asking about Blake… Blake is doing quite well at the moment.
I wonder how many will keep the memory in their minds and hearts of the “Lion Hug” story and use that tender situation in their everyday lives?
With Love...
Your Friend
